It will be a momentous outing for George Ford, who starts as Jamie George's co-captain and, in the process, will pick up his 100th England Cap.
He made his debut eleven years ago, facing Wales in the Six Nations, and has since gone on to win the competition three times.
Ford does not seem to see the romance of the occasion, though, saying it is simply 'another day at the office'.
'It's an unbelievably proud moment for me and, more importantly, my family,' he said.
'But the most important thing is the team and getting a good result. Even though there is a milestone there, the whole bigger picture doesn't change. It's England-Argentina, we want to win and make sure we perform really well.'

England will face Argentina for a second time just a week on from this fixture, trekking up to Mexico to do so.
They will then head to Washington, D.C., to meet the United States national side at Audi Field.

Wimbledon 2025 live updates: Day 6 results and reactions as Sinner, Djokovic and Shelton all advance
Follow live reaction from The Championships as some the sport's biggest stars, including Sinner, Djokovic and Shelton, advanced in style Getty Images The stars were out on day six of the 2025 Wimbledon Championship and they all reached the second week in style. No. 1 Jannik Sinner made light work of his match against Spain's Pedro Martinez with a straight sets win. Mirra Andreeva (7) also won her match in straight sets against USA's Hailey Baptiste. Emma Navarro (10) outlasted 2024 Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejčíková and Iga Świątek (8) eased past Danielle Collins in straight sets. To conclude the day's play, Novak Djokovic (6) and American Ben Shelton (10) powered past their respective opponents in straight sets as they were loudly supported by Wimbledon's faithful. Get involved: live@ Miomir Kecmanovic and Novak Djokovic take Centre Court to close out day six at Wimbledon. Shelton 1-0* Fucsovics Away we go as Ben Shelton faces Márton Fucsovics. The American starts with the serve and quickly takes the first game. This match has been pushed back a while but Ben Shelton and Márton Fucsovics are finally taking the grass. Both players played briefly yesterday after their matches on Thursday were postponed due to darkness. You might be surprised when you hear what one of Iga Świątek's favorite meals is... Barbora Krejčíková was not feeling her best today but still put forth a gutsy effort on the grass. The crowd repaid her with a standing ovation as she left the court. Getty Images FINAL: Świątek 6-2, 6-3 Collins No. 8 Iga Świątek won 61 of 103 points, beating Danielle Collins in straight sets to advance the fourth round. She will face No. 23 Clara Tauson next, who eliminated No. 11 Elena Rybakina in straight sets earlier today. Getty Images FINAL: Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 3-6 Navarro Navarro has triple match point but Krejčíková pulls out a beautiful backhand, ripping it down the line. However, on the next point, Krejčíková fires a return shot into the net and that will do it. Gutsy effort from last year's champion but ultimately Navarro prevailed to advance. Getty Images Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 3-5* Navarro This is a tough scene... After Krejčíková drops the point, she takes a moment to herself near the back wall and appears to be in tears, clearly not feeling her best. The crowd gives her a cheer of support. Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 3-4* Navarro Another game, another break. Krejčíková is persevering but she does not look like herself. She gets a double fault and then moment later, she pushes a backhand wide to drop the point. Critical game coming up here. Getty Images Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, *3-3 Navarro Whatever is plaguing Krejčíková is visible yet she somehow mustered the ability to break Navarro to even this deciding set 3-3. She looks a step slower and her shot is not as powerful but she continues to battle. FINAL: Dimitrov 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7) Ofner Grigor Dimitrov is through to the fourth round where he will face the No. 1 seeded Jannik Sinner. Dimitrov recorded 15 aces in his win today, which was his 100th Grand Slam win. Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, 2-3* Navarro Another break, this time for Navarro. Holding double break point, she blasts a backhand down the line that gave Krejčíková no chance of returning the shot. After the game, Krejčíková was examined by the medical staff after feeling faint. Moments later, she grabs her racket and returns to the court. Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, *2-2 Navarro After having her serve broken, Krejčíková returns the favor. Navarro attempts to play a dropshot just over the net but unfortunately for her, the shot just does not have enough power. This match could come down to the wire. FINAL: Alexandrova 6-3, 7-6 (7) Sönmez Impressive showing by Ekaterina Alexandrova to advance past Zeynep Sönmez in straight sets, though the second one required a tiebreak. She excelled returning serve, winning 33 receiving points and going 4-6 on break points. Barbora Krejčíková has just missed five break points on the Emma Navarro serve to open up a 2-0 lead at the start of the third and final set. Instead Navarrro holds and the defending champion is now 3/14 on break points. It gets worse for Krejčíková as she's broken to love in the next game, and having been a set and a break up is now on the brink of elimination. Getty Images Świątek 6-2, 0-0* Collins In 39 minutes, Iga Świątek has taken the opening set against Danielle Collins. Everything has gone the former world No. 1's way as Collins ended up slipping and landing on the ground a couple of times in that set. Some 13 unforced errors from the American show where she can improve heading into the second set. She has gone off court for a short break. Krejčíková 6-2, 3-6, *1-1 Navarro Krejčíková had triple break point in the second game of the third set but Navarro pulled it all the way back. Krejčíková got two more break points after that and still couldn't take the point as an unforced error leads to her dropping the point. Big stand for the American. This match appears to hang on Świątek's first-serve percentage. She has made just over 50 percent, but is winning over 85 percent of the points when she does. Świątek 5-2 Collins No holding back from Collins, who's hit six winners and 13 unforced errors in the first six games. She's had her chances but Świątek has come up with some big serves at key moments - fending off two break points to hold for 5-1.

Marcus Trescothick says England ‘not stupid enough' to dismiss draw
England are 'not stupid enough' to chase victory at all costs on the final day of the Edgbaston Test, with assistant coach Marcus Trescothick hinting they would welcome a rare draw against India. In three years since Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum took over as captain and coach, England have become the masters of all-or-nothing cricket and turned the draw into an endangered species. Advertisement There has been just one in 37 games since the advent of 'Bazball' – a rain-shortened Ashes clash in Manchester – with Stokes going on the record on numerous occasions with his disdain for stalemates. It would be fantastical for England to harbour realistic ideas of turning their overnight score of 72 for three into a winning score of 608 on Sunday – not mention a world record by the small matter of 190 runs. Trescothick was careful not to squash the prospect entirely but broke what has become a minor taboo in the camp by recognising that avoiding defeat could be an acceptable result. Advertisement 'We're always trying to be as positive as we can, but we all appreciate it's a hell of a lot of runs to try and score,' he said. 'We need 536 tomorrow…I don't think we've seen scoring rates like that. I don't think we use that sort of (defensive) language, that's not the sort of changing room we are. But we are not naive. 'If you get to the point where you can draw the game, of course, we're not stupid enough to think that you have to just win or lose. There are three results possible in every game that you play. 'This has kind of been built up away from what the changing room messages are. I think there is a perception of what you think goes on in the changing room, but we obviously understand it a little bit more.' Advertisement The levels of faith among England fans have risen so much that the Hollies Stand stood as one to a chorus of 'stand up if you still believe', even after India began dismantling the top order on the fourth evening. 'We were all stood up in the changing room,' Trescothick said with a smile. 'We have done some things in our time. We are different to how we've done things before, so we'll see what happens.' India surprised many onlookers by setting the target at such an outlandish level, delaying a declaration many felt would come long before Shubman Gill belatedly called time on the innings at 427 for six. Advertisement Bowling coach Morne Morkel admitted the timing had been a matter of debate but feels the English appetite for embracing unlikely chases will still remain. 'We did talk about it a lot during the day, I guess if a team does score 500 plus on the final day they deserve to win,' he said. 'Harry Brook said in the media the other day that they'd go at anything we set for them, so I think we're in for an exciting day. 'Harry is a guy who likes to take the game on and he's an entertainer. That's their style. If they're happy to take it on, that's great for the game.'
