Pennsylvania 2026 star offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh has Notre Dame as a finalist
Notre Dame is one of three finalists for four-star Class of 2026 product Grayson McKeogh, but the Fighting Irish will have a tough act to beat after the offensive tackle enjoyed his visit to Penn State.
The 6-foot-7, 275-pounder from La Salle College (Glenside, PA) will visit Notre Dame June 13-15 before heading to Texas June 20-22. It's not very often Texas recruits a Pennsylvania product either, which speaks to how impressive the offensive lineman has been.
It's been quite the rise for McKeogh, who had never played on the offensive line for the Explorers until head coach Brett Gordon took over the program before his junior season. Now, the former defensive end is one of the most desirable left tackles in the country and the seventh-best prospect in his state, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
His visit to State College reportedly went very well, so it's going to be difficult for the Fighting Irish to woo the star tackle, who could stay in-state and play for a strong Big Ten program. Additionally, Texas will get the chance to make one final impression. Can the Longhorns win this tight battle?
McKeogh plans to make his decision July 1.

Bill Belichick speaks on Max Johnson's recovery during June media availability
Bill Belichick speaks on Max Johnson's recovery during June media availability Can Max Johnson overcome the odds and start one final season of college football? The UNC football program made one of college football's top additions ahead of its 2024 season, snagging quarterback Max Johnson in the transfer portal. Needing a Drake Maye replacement, North Carolina found its answer in the former LSU and Texas A&M starter. The Tar Heels also carried Conner Harrell on their roster, but Johnson's experience was too much for a bench role. During UNC's 2024 opener, a 19-17 win against Minnesota that came down to a missed field goal, an injury cut Johnson's season short. No one knew what injury Johnson initially suffered during the game, but reports later revealed a broken right leg. Johnson returns for one final season in 2025. On Tuesday during media availability at the Kenan Football Center in Chapel Hill, Tar Heels first-year head coach Bill Belichick delivered an update on Johnson's rehab – and it's a promising one. "Max is doing, doing very well," Belichick said. "His rehab has been long, and I have a lot of admiration for him. It tough injury, but nobody's worked harder than he has, and he certainly is able to do a lot more than he was last spring. So we'll see exactly where he is when things start, but it's a whole lot closer, and we certainly expect to see him out there. So it's been very encouraging." Johnson struggled against Minnesota's defense during the August 2024 season-opener, completing just 12-of-19 passes for 71 yards and throwing an interception, but Johnson did score North Carolina's lone touchdown on a 3-yard scramble. There will be an intense competition for UNC's starting QB job this season. The Tar Heels paid $4 million – over two years – in NIL money to land South Alabama's Gio Lopez, while also recruiting 4-star Bryce Baker out of Kernersville, N.C. Will Johnson enter his final season of college football as North Carolina's starter? His success at past stops points to yes, but that answer depends on Johnson's recovery. LOOK: Recruiting film of Ohio State's latest commitment, Khary Wilder
LOOK: Recruiting film of Ohio State's latest commitment, Khary Wilder The Ohio State football team got another commitment for its 2026 recruiting class on Tuesday night when 4-star edge rusher Khary Wilder announced his pledge to the Buckeyes. It was Larry Johnson's first commitment in the class, one that OSU hopes will yield more top-tier talent on the defensive line. We track every Ohio State commitment as they happen, but we also like to grab game film and share some highlights of what the next batch of OSU recruits might bring to the banks of the Olentangy. Wilder is ranked as the No. 248 prospect in the class and 23rd edge player in the cycle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, but if the Buckeyes wanted to lock him in, you can bet on them seeing even more than what the recruiting services see. Here's a look at Wilder's junior high school highlights thanks to the fine folks at Hudl. In the film, you'll see him play both on the edge and on the interior, but he'll more than likely be developed as a defensive end at Ohio State. The ability to get off the ball with a quick first step is evident on the film. We'll continue to keep tabs on what Ohio State is doing as it lands more commitments in the 2026 class, so check back often to stay up to speed on what should be another dynamite crop of players.
