Actor Ioan Gruffudd and his new wife Bianca Wallace have revealed they are expecting a baby. The Welsh actor, 51, announced their big news on Father's Day with an Instagram post. 'Baby Gruffudd poppin' out to say hello!' he wrote, alongside a black and white photo of him kissing Bianca's blossoming bump. The couple were inundated with well wishes following their announcement. Their baby joy comes two months after Ioan and Bianca, 32, tied the knot.
While it's the first baby for the pair, who went public with their relationship in October 2021, it would be Ioan's third child – he also shares daughters Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11, with ex-wife Alice Evans. Sources said that the news is a 'gut punch' to Alice, who has expressed her fears of becoming homeless following their split. The 56-year-old actress was married to Gruffud for 14 years before they split in early 2021. Despite being formally divorced in July 2023, they continue to be embroiled in a bitter battle over financial support and custody of their daughters.
'Alice will be absolutely fuming over this. She's made no secret of the fact she's destitute looking after the two kids, so to have him rub how well he's doing in her face is a real gut-punch,' a source said. 'For Ioan to not only break the news like that but do it on Father's Day… it's yet another horribly upsetting saga for her to deal with.'
Last month, Alice posted that she was facing homelessness after being evicted from her LA home after being 'unable to pay' her rent amid financial woes. 'Four years of hell. And now the girls and I are going to be homeless. Somebody please help,' she wrote. 'I think I have reached rock bottom. In 16 days we have nowhere to go. Does anybody have a spare room? I'm so sorry for this. So embarrassed.'
She set up a GoFundMe Divorce fundraiser which raised over $18,000, and earlier this month, she revealed that she, her daughters and their dog Emma have 'a roof over their heads'. 'We are in our new place! I am so happy, thrilled, grateful and especially thankful,' she told supporters.

Over the weekend, the Duchess of Sussex shared a sweet Father's Day tribute to her husband Prince Harry, featuring numerous snapshots of their children Prince Archie, six, and Lili, four. The post made for the most intimate glimpse into their family life in Montecito, California yet - as Meghan shared a rare look at her children's faces. In one clip, a baby Lilibet could be seen laying on Prince Harry's chest while fast asleep, wearing a tiny knitted hat and swaddled in a blanket. As the newborn slept, Harry could be seen gently stroking her tiny hand, in footage filmed by Meghan. The rare glimpse at Lili's face - previously shown in the Sussexes's bombshell Netflix documentary in 2022 - made for a striking resemblance to an old image of Meghan at the same age. In 2016, Meghan had shared a rare image of herself as a baby in her final Father's Day tribute to her dad, Thomas Markle, from whom she is now estranged. The Duchess of Sussex has promised some 'delicious surprises' as she announced a restock of items from her lifestyle brand after some products sold out within an hour. Meghan said the April launch of her As Ever products, including jam and herbal tea, had been 'absolutely extraordinary' and teased buyers they would only have to wait a few days for more items. In an Instagram post, the California-based duchess wrote: 'Oh yes, honey… sweet things await. Mark your calendars for June 20 at 8 a.m. PT – we're bringing back your favorites, plus some delicious surprises you won't want to miss!' In a newsletter, she also wrote: 'First off, a sincere thank you for making the debut of As Ever absolutely extraordinary. 'We had a feeling there would be excitement, but to see everything sell out in less than an hour was an amazing surprise. 'We are pleased to share that on June 20th, we're going live with the products you love – plus, some new delicious surprises.' Earlier this month Meghan said she had decided to 'just pause' restocking her brand, saying she wanted to wait until it is 'completely stable and we have everything we need'. She also spoke of the difficulties of building her firm and 'how many tears' she has shed behind the scenes on a bonus episode of her podcast featuring Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles.
