Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus launched in India at ₹44999- Check specs and features
The Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus features a 12.7-inch LTPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3K resolution, and up to 900nits peak brightness. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The tablet comes with an on-device AI assistant dubbed Lenovo AI Now, which is powered by LLMs that offer up to 8 billion parameters.
The Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus also feature a dual camera setup that includes a 13MP camera on the rear panel and a 2MP secondary sensor. It also features a 13MP front-facing camera. For lasting performance, the tablet is backed by a 10200mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Lenovo claims that the tablet offers up to 11 hours of streaming time.
With Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus, buyers will also get Lenovo Tab Pen Pro, which offers 8192 pressure sensitivity levels and tilt detection capability. It also comes with a 2-in-1 keyboard that includes a dedicated AI key.
The Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus comes with a starting price of just Rs. 44999 for the 256GB storage variant. The 512GB model is priced at Rs. 47999. The tablet will include both the Tab Pen Pro and a 2-in-1 keyboard, boosting the creativity and productivity of users. It will be available in Tidal Teal colour and buyers can purchase the device from Lenovo.com, Amazon India, and Lenovo's retail stores.

Many switch to greener mode of transport as EVs count go up
Davangere/DHNS: Vehicle users in Davangere are gradually switching over to greener mode of transport. For, in the last three years, there has been a significant rise in registration of electric vehicles (EVs) in the district. According to the officials of Regional Transport department, as many as 8,153 electric vehicles were registered in the district from 2022 to August 2025. The district recorded 848 electric vehicles in 2022 - of them 833 were electric scooters and 15 were electric electric vehicles are cost-effective when compared to fuel-driven vehicles, the number of people opting for e-vehicles has gone up in the district. In 2023, a total of 2,392 electric scooters and 55 cars were registered. Similarly, as many as 2,796 EV scooters and 94 cars were registered in 2024 and about 1,845 scooters and 124 cars were registered in 2025 until August. Speaking to DH, Regional Transport Officer H S Bhagavan Das said that people are keen to buy electric vehicles as they are cost-effective and generally produce less pollution than gasoline or diesel cars, particularly in terms of tailpipe EVs themselves have zero tailpipe emissions as they don't release pollutants directly into the air. Besides, EV vehicle owners need not spend much on maintenance in terms of changing engine oil as in the case of traditional considering the number of electric vehicles, the charging points are very minimal in the city. Except for the one run by Bescom at Ambedkar Circle, the charging points are limited in the city. Speaking to DH, Dhananjay, who owns EV car said 'I charge my car near my household. When I need it fast, I visit the recharge station and it would take about one hour and the fare is around Rs 300.'It had been decided to set up charging points at a total of 21 places in Davangere district under public-private-partnership model. A proposal has already been submitted to the government to set up the stations at government-owned, currently vacant 30X40-area sites such as the deputy commissioner's office, taluk office, zilla panchayat, mini Vidhana Soudha, general hospital and bus terminals. These stations with a capacity of 90 KW will operate 24 hours a day. To keep it functional round-the-clock, it is planned to ensure continuous electricity supply. 'As per the government's instructions, 21 places have been identified in the district to conduct a survey and to set up charging points. The construction work of these will be taken up after the government's further orders,' Bescom Executive Engineer A K Thippeswamy told DH.'Bescom is operating a charging station on an experimental basis near Ambedkar Circle. The users have to download EV app on their mobile phone and scan the code for charging the vehicle. They have to pay fare via digital payment. It is not being operated manually, however,' he added. He further said that it was decided to set up charging points on the premises of 12 Indian Oil Corporation Limited fuel stations in the city. Of them, only five have paid the fee to Bescom to set up the infrastructure.

In a major boost for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Make in India in defence project, India on Tuesday cleared the project for buying 97 LCA Mark 1A fighter jets for the Indian Air Force. The final approval for the acquisition of 97 LCA Mark 1A fighters was given by a high-level meeting today and will pave the way for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to produce the aircraft, defence sources told ANI. This will be the second order for the LCA Mark 1A fighters, as the government has already placed orders for 83 aircraft a few years ago for around Rs 48,000 crore. The programme will help the IAF to replace its fleet of MiG- 21s, which are finally being phased out by the government in next few weeks, they said. The indigenous fighter aircraft programme, fully backed by Defence Ministry and Air Headquarters is set to be a big boost for promoting indigenisation as well as give major business to the small and medium enterprises engaged in defence business across the country, they said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been pushing for the revival of the HAL, which has bagged orders for building all types of indigenous fighter aircraft, helicopters, along with the engines for them under his government. The Prime Minister had also undertaken a sortie in the trainer variant of the indigenous fighter, which was first-ever sortie by the Prime Minister of India in any combat aircraft. The plan to acquire 97 more LCA Mark 1A fighter jets was also announced first by the then Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on foreign soil in Spain when he told ANI about the mega plans to boost the indigenous fighter aircraft orders. The LCA Mark 1A plane has more advanced avionics and radars than the initial 40 LCAs being supplied to the Air Force. The indigenous content in the new LCA Mark1As is going to be more than 65 per cent. The programme has been the harbinger of the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives of the nation. More importantly, it is a flag bearer of India's self-reliance in the aerospace sector. The HAL is also set to bag deals for buying over 200 LCA Mark 2s and a similar number of fifth-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft.
