Declan Rice and girlfriend Lauren Fryer make rare public appearance together at Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen's wedding after she was forced off social media by vile trolls

Daily Mail2 days ago

Declan Rice and his long-time partner Lauren Fryer were among the guests at Jarrod Bowen's wedding to Dani Dyer this weekend.
Bowen and Rice have been friends since their time together at West Ham, and the pair were crucial to the Hammers securing the first European trophy in more than half an century when they lifted the Conference League in 2023.
Rice donned a tuxedo at the lavish event in Berkshire while Fryer opted for a black dress at the ceremony on Saturday.
The pair have rarely been pictured at public events together after Fryer was targeted with sickening abuse from trolls online, with the bullying leading her to wipe her social media.
Fryer and Dyer have become close friends and were pictured together cheering their partners on at the European Championships last summer.
Speaking on the abuse Fryer had been subjected to Dyer called the attacks on her friend's appearance 'cruel'.
'It was so hard for her, the trolling, as she doesn't put herself out there,' Dyer said.
'I think it's harder when you are not in [the public eye] and you are being personally attacked. I found that hard. She is a really good mum, who keeps to herself. No one deserves to be criticised like that.
'It was so cruel. We didn't speak about it a lot. What we did talk about is how she is so nice and so great and looks absolutely gorgeous. Plus, she's Dec's childhood sweetheart and you can see how much he adores her.'
Fellow England international Ezri Konsa was also among the guests spotted at the wedding this weekend.
While many of their England team-mates went on a team-building trip to the Spanish Grand Prix, Bowen took centre stage on Saturday as he and Dyer tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.
Dyer - the daughter of TV star and West Ham superfan Danny Dyer - shared a pair of photos from the event to her 3.7million followers on Instagram.
Captioning her post 'The Bowens', Dyer received a comment from West Ham's official account offering congratulations to the happy couple.
Liverpool defender Andy Robertson also passed on his well wishes to his former Hull City team-mate in the comments.
Bowen and Dyer, both 28, have been in a relationship for four years and welcomed twin daughters in 2023.
A photo from the ceremony showing a reveller posing alongside Rice and Konsa was shared widely on social media.
Both have been named in Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions squad that will face Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday before taking on Senegal in a friendly next Tuesday.
Bowen meanwhile was left out of the squad as he prepares to jet off on his honeymoon with his new bride.
After being handed the West Ham captaincy last summer Bowen has remained one of the most consistent performers in a West Ham shirt despite the team's ongoing struggles.
Julen Lopetegui was sacked in January with the club floundering in the bottom half of the table.
Former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter was appointed as the Spaniard's successor the following day but struggled to make an impact as the Hammers managed just five league wins from 18.

Ashes tickets sell at record rate

SYDNEY, June 4 (Reuters) - Tickets for the Ashes series were snapped up at a record rate when they went on sale on Tuesday with the allocations for the first three days of the Brisbane and Sydney tests as well as day one of the Melbourne test all exhausted. Cricket Australia said a total of 311,066 tickets were purchased on Tuesday for international matches in the home 2025-26 season, when the hosts will defend the urn against England in a five-test series. The previous record for a single day's sale was 111,741 tickets ahead of the 2017-18 Ashes series, CA said. "The record demand for tickets shows the excitement fans are feeling about the fantastic international season to come," said Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg. Australia won both the 2017-18 series and following home series in 2021–22 4-0 before drawing 2-2 in England in 2023 to retain the urn. England last triumphed in Australia in 2010-11, which is also the last time the tourists won a test Down Under. This year's series begins in Perth in late November before a day-night match in Brisbane, the third test in Adelaide and the traditional Melbourne and Sydney tests in December and January. More tranches of tickets will be made available for those fans who signed up for pre-allocation at a later date, while the general public will be able to make purchases from June 13. Australia also host both South Africa and India in Twenty20 and one-day series before the Ashes, while the women's team will play India in all three formats in February and March.

Man 'scales walls of Trump house in bid to propose to President's granddaughter'

A man has been arrested on suspicion of trespass after allegedly scaling the walls of a Donald Trump property in a bid to propose to the President's teenage granddaughter. Anthony Thomas Reyes said he wanted to "spread the gospel" after he was discovered by Secret Service shortly after midnight on Tuesday (around 5am Tuesday UK time), it is understood. Reyes, 23, is said to have told officers he climbed over the towering wall which surrounds Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida in search of Mr Trump's granddaughter Kai. But Kai, who only turned 18 last month, is currently on holiday in the Bahamas, it is believed. Reyes, who is from Texas, is now in custody at Palm Beach County Jail on a $50,000 (£37,000) bond. Mr Trump was also not present at Mar-a-Lago, a resort which spans 126 rooms and 62,500 sq ft on a barrier island in Palm Beach. The US President, 78, is in Washington DC, where his team is currently pushing through documentation which will mean tax breaks as well as spending cuts. Reyes said he was also looking for Mr Trump because he wanted to talk about "the gospel." However, it is believed he also was looking for Kai, who was a familiar face on her grandfather's campaign trail and has amassed adoring fans. Kai, whose dad is political activist Donald Trump Junior, shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of her bond with her grandpa on social media during the campaign. The teen, who attends a school in North Palm Beach, is reportedly set to attend University of Miami in the autumn and is on a summer getaway with mum Vanessa in preparation for her studies. Footage Kai posted on social media this week shows the student sip on virgin strawberry daiquiris by the pool as she soaks up the summer sun with her mother, whom Mr Trump Jr divorced in 2018 after a 13-year marriage. Mr Trump Jr and Vansessa, a model, tied the knot at Mar-a-Lago itself and went onto have five kids, including Kai. In a different social media video recently, Kai, a keen golfer, said: "I'm gonna hit some balls because why not? Worked on my swing a little. It's beautiful. I'm not sure if you guys have ever been to Albany before... I love it." Her grandfather - who owns 18 courses across the globe, including 11 in the US - also has a passion for golf and frequently enjoys a round at one of his clubs in Florida. Mr Trump, who has owned the Mar-a-Lago estate since 1985, recently featured in one of Kai's vlogs to discuss her future prospects of turning pro. The President said: "I just wanna say that I play a lot of golf with Kai and she's a fantastic golfer."
