Declan Rice and girlfriend Lauren Fryer make rare public appearance together at Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen's wedding after she was forced off social media by vile trolls

Declan Rice and his long-time partner Lauren Fryer were among the guests at Jarrod Bowen's wedding to Dani Dyer this weekend. Bowen and Rice have been friends since their time together at West Ham, and the pair were crucial to the Hammers securing the first European trophy in more than half an century when they lifted the Conference League in 2023. Rice donned a tuxedo at the lavish event in Berkshire while Fryer opted for a black dress at the ceremony on Saturday. The pair have rarely been pictured at public events together after Fryer was targeted with sickening abuse from trolls online, with the bullying leading her to wipe her social media. Fryer and Dyer have become close friends and were pictured together cheering their partners on at the European Championships last summer. Speaking on the abuse Fryer had been subjected to Dyer called the attacks on her friend's appearance 'cruel'. 'It was so hard for her, the trolling, as she doesn't put herself out there,' Dyer said. 'I think it's harder when you are not in [the public eye] and you are being personally attacked. I found that hard. She is a really good mum, who keeps to herself. No one deserves to be criticised like that. 'It was so cruel. We didn't speak about it a lot. What we did talk about is how she is so nice and so great and looks absolutely gorgeous. Plus, she's Dec's childhood sweetheart and you can see how much he adores her.' Fellow England international Ezri Konsa was also among the guests spotted at the wedding this weekend. While many of their England team-mates went on a team-building trip to the Spanish Grand Prix, Bowen took centre stage on Saturday as he and Dyer tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. Dyer - the daughter of TV star and West Ham superfan Danny Dyer - shared a pair of photos from the event to her 3.7million followers on Instagram. Captioning her post 'The Bowens', Dyer received a comment from West Ham's official account offering congratulations to the happy couple. Liverpool defender Andy Robertson also passed on his well wishes to his former Hull City team-mate in the comments. Bowen and Dyer, both 28, have been in a relationship for four years and welcomed twin daughters in 2023. A photo from the ceremony showing a reveller posing alongside Rice and Konsa was shared widely on social media. Both have been named in Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions squad that will face Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday before taking on Senegal in a friendly next Tuesday. Bowen meanwhile was left out of the squad as he prepares to jet off on his honeymoon with his new bride. After being handed the West Ham captaincy last summer Bowen has remained one of the most consistent performers in a West Ham shirt despite the team's ongoing struggles. Julen Lopetegui was sacked in January with the club floundering in the bottom half of the table. Former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter was appointed as the Spaniard's successor the following day but struggled to make an impact as the Hammers managed just five league wins from 18.

Emery on Champions League, Man Utd and transfers

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has been speaking to the media before Sunday's Premier League game at Manchester United (kick-off 16:00 BST). Here are the key lines from his news conference: On realistically needing Chelsea or Newcastle to drop points to help his side qualify for the Champions League: "It is not in our hands but we are grateful to be here now." He added he is proud of how his side have found form after struggling earlier in the season: "I am so, so proud of our club, our supporters, our players, the workers and employees. We have been demanding and consistent in the second half of the season to arrive at the key moment with the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League." He is not interested in how other teams are performing on Sunday: "In our hands is only our result on Sunday. That's the only issue I want to focus on with the players. I don't want to know other results. I want only to play our match, only to focus on our match in 90 minutes and try to focus the dressing room on everything tactically and individually. We must win, we must compete and we must get our result." Asked about whether Manchester United, who are 16th in the Premier League and lost Wednesday's Europa League final to Tottenham, are still a threat: "The greatness is still there - the coach is great and the players are very good." On Villa trio Ezri Konsa, Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins being named in the recent England squad: "Their development has been clear. They have come up from playing in the Championship to playing international football." Emery is "so happy" with his current squad and is not looking at summer transfers, but added Villa always must stay "alert" about potential arrivals.
