Trump rips 'so-called' friends' attacks on Bondi, tells MAGA to move on from Epstein

Yahoo8 hours ago
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump threw his full support behind Attorney General Pam Bondi in a furious social media post that lit into his "so-called 'friends'" in MAGA and told them to move on from fevered demands that she release files related to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
"They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We're on one Team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein," Trump wrote on July 12 in a lengthy post on Truth Social.
Trump loyalists have been steadily berating Bondi since the Justice Department and FBI said that a "systematic review" of documents related to Epstein "revealed no incriminating 'client list.'" The statement led to allegations from far-right personalities, including Tucker Carlson, that the Trump administration was engaged in a cover-up.
Bondi said earlier this year in an interview on Fox News after she was asked about Epstein's client list that it was "sitting on my desk right now to review." She promised at another point that "everything's going to come out to the public."
Defending her stance at a July 8 Cabinet meeting at the White House, Bondi told reporters: "I was asked a question about the client list and my response was, 'It's sitting on my desk to be reviewed,' meaning the file, not the client list."
Trump took another tack. In his statement on social media this weekend, he alleged that the government documents could have been written by political opponents and critics such as former President Barack Obama and former FBI Director James Comey, whom he fired during his first term.
Epstein timeline: Trump's team promised transparency on Epstein. Here's what they delivered.
"They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called 'friends' are playing right into their hands," Trump wrote.
The dossier, assembled by former British spy Christopher Steele, contained salacious allegations about Trump, including alleged connections between the Republican's 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.
Trump said he'd consider declassifying the Epstein files during the 2024 presidential campaign. Vice President JD Vance called for the release of Epstein's purported client list last fall. FBI Director Kash Patel repeatedly pushed for the alleged client list to be released when Joe Biden was in the White House.
"To me, that's a thing I think President Trump should run on. On Day 1, roll out the 'black book,'" Patel told Glenn Beck on Dec. 13, 2023.
In his social media post on July 12, the president offered the now-FBI director some cover. He said Patel and the FBI "must be focused on investigating" allegations of voter fraud and other red meat issues for the base, "instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old, Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein."
He told his supporters not to "waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about."
"LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB – SHE'S GREAT!" he said.

Trump to make major Russia address Monday

Friday, President Donald Trump dialed into NBC to say he's cooking up a major statement on Russia for Monday. He didn't hold back on Putin's recent missile and drone strikes on Kyiv and said he's ready to unleash Senator Lindsey Graham's tough new sanctions bill whenever he sees fit. He also let slip a neat little trick: the U.S. will send weapons to NATO, NATO will pick up the tab, and then funnel those arms straight to Ukraine. It keeps Washington from footing the entire bill directly but still gets critical gearair-defense systems, artillery shells and the likeinto Ukrainian hands faster. All of this comes on the heels of Marco Rubio sitting down with Russia's Sergei Lavrov at the ASEAN summit. With tensions rising on the ground, Monday's announcement could reshape how the U.S. and its allies back Kyiv going forward. That's likely to be a jolt or potentially positive move for the stock market, that's been mostly choppy this year. However, of late, the investor enthusiam has recovered, with S&P 500 racking up record highs. This article first appeared on GuruFocus.

Cleveland Browns General Manager Is Getting Destroyed After Latest Player Arrest

Cleveland Browns General Manager Is Getting Destroyed After Latest Player Arrest originally appeared on The Spun. The last few offseasons haven't been the easiest for Browns fans to stomach and this one didn't get any easier with Saturday's news. Advertisement After selecting Ohio State's Quinshon Judkins with the 36th overall pick in the second round, the rookie running back was arrested on serious domestic violence charges that allege he touched/struck and battered a victim. A Browns spokesperson has said the franchise is aware of the situation and is "gathering information." But its GM Andrew Berry that's found himself directly in the crosshairs of the Cleveland faithful online. "The Deshaun Watson failure should have been the end of Andrew Berry's tenure here," a user said. "Second consecutive offseason one of Andrew Berry's draft picks is arrested and charged following an alleged domestic violence incident," Daryl Ruiter shared. "Also should note, Judkins has yet to sign his rookie contract." Advertisement "questions should be asked about these Andrew Berry background checks," a fan commented. "also 2nd time this has happened with someone with a 'clean' record out of Columbus, we should also ask about Ryan Day too, this pattern is smaller scale but similar to his mentor." "Andrew Berry has had more draft picks get arrested than the Browns will have wins this year," another person posted. "Andrew berry legitimately might be the worst gm of all time. His track record is crazy," another fan pointed out. "Absolutely sick & tired of Andrew Berry drafting guys who are abusers," a member of the Dawg Pound replied. "His resume now includes Deshaun Watson, Mike Hall & Quinshon. Like, at some point, it has to matter dude. I'm so tired of it. I get you don't always know- but it's a recurring theme." California farmworker dies after falling from greenhouse roof during chaotic ICE raid

Federal agenciesFacebookTweetLink Follow A farmworker who fell from a greenhouse roof during a chaotic ICE raid this week at a California cannabis facility died Saturday of his injuries. Jaime Alanis, 57, is the first known person to die during one of the Trump administration's ongoing immigration enforcement operations. Yesenia Duran, Alanis' niece, confirmed his death to The Associated Press. Duran posted on the fundraising site GoFundMe that her uncle was his family's only provider and he had been sending his earnings back to a wife and daughter in Mexico. Alanis worked at the farm for 10 years, his family said. The United Farm Workers reported Alanis' death prematurely late Friday. The Ventura County Medical Center later issued a statement authorized by the family saying he was still on life support. 'These violent and cruel federal actions terrorize American communities, disrupt the American food supply chain, threaten lives and separate families,' the UFW said recently in a statement on the social platform X. The union does not represent workers at the raided farm. The Department of Homeland Security said it executed criminal search warrants Thursday at Glass House Farms facilities in Camarillo and Carpinteria. Glass House is a licensed cannabis grower. The farm in Camarillo also grows tomatoes and cucumbers. Garcia called family to say he was hiding and possibly was fleeing agents before he fell about 30 feet from the roof and broke his neck, according to information from family, hospital and government sources. Agents arrested some 200 people suspected of being in the country illegally and identified at least 10 immigrant children on the sites, DHS said in a statement. Alanis was not among them, the agency said. 'This man was not in and has not been in CBP or ICE custody,' DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. 'Although he was not being pursued by law enforcement, this individual climbed up to the roof of a greenhouse and fell 30 feet. CBP immediately called a medivac to the scene to get him care as quickly as possible.' Four US citizens were arrested during the incident for allegedly 'assaulting or resisting officers,' according to DHS, and authorities were offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a person suspected of firing a gun at federal agents. During the raid crowds of people gathered outside the facility in Camarillo to seek information about their relatives and protest immigration enforcement. Authorities clad in military-style helmets and uniforms faced off with the demonstrators, and people ultimately retreated amid acrid green and white billowing smoke. Glass House said in a statement that immigration agents had valid warrants. The company said workers were detained and it is helping provide them with legal representation. 'Glass House has never knowingly violated applicable hiring practices and does not and has never employed minors,' it said. The business was co-founded by Graham Farrar and Kyle Kazan. Farrar has donated to California Democrats including Gov. Gavin Newsom, a vocal critic of Republican President Donald Trump, according to campaign finance records. Kazan has donated to both Democrats and Republicans.
