Hamas calls for official & popular protection committees to confront Israeli crimes in West Bank

Saba Yemen6 hours ago

Doha – Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) called on Wednesday for a firm stance by the Palestinian people and all official and popular institutions to confront the crimes of the Israeli enemy and its Zionist settlers in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Hamas said: "The crimes of the Israeli enemy and its settlers, including their aggression against the town of Kafr Malik east of Ramallah and across the West Bank, demand a serious stance from our people and all official and popular institutions to confront these crimes."
The movement mourned the three martyrs who were killed in Kafr Malik village northeast of Ramallah due to attacks by Zionist settlers, praising the villagers' resistance against the assault by settler mobs and Israeli occupation forces.
Hamas emphasized the necessity of forming protection committees for Palestinian towns and villages, stressing that the enemy's crime in Kafr Malik—which led to the martyrdom of three young men and injuries to others—along with previous settler attacks, including the burning of houses and vehicles, reflects the Zionist enemy's entrenched policy of targeting everything Palestinian.
"This crime must not go unanswered," Hamas added, "and our people must confront the enemy and its settler gangs with all possible strength, striking them at all points of confrontation in the occupied West Bank."
The movement urged the Palestinian Authority and its security forces to fulfill their natural role in protecting the Palestinian people, ensuring their security, and immediately releasing all resistance fighters and political detainees.
Hamas affirmed that the Palestinian people will not remain idle in the face of ongoing killings and displacement, stressing that resistance in all its forms is the legitimate and natural response to escalating Israeli terrorism.
It further stated that the blood of the martyrs in Kafr Malik, like all Palestinian martyrs, will not be in vain and will remain fuel for the path of liberation and resistance until the defeat of the Israeli enemy, the attainment of freedom, and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

Israeli Occupation installs fire alarms in Ibrahimi Mosque as Hebron Endowment warns of "illegal interference"

Hebron – Saba: Israeli occupation authorities have installed fire alarm systems inside the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, exploiting a 12-day security closure—a move condemned by the Hebron Endowment as an "unlawful violation" of its jurisdiction. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the General Administration of the Hebron Endowment, affiliated with the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, said: "The Israeli authorities installed fire alarms throughout the Ibrahimi Mosque compound, taking advantage of the closure imposed under the pretext of security concerns." The administration deemed this measure "a blatant violation and illegal interference in the authority of the Ministry of Awqaf, the sole entity responsible for managing the mosque," according to the Anadolu Agency. The Hebron Endowment emphasized that this step "comes amid ongoing Israeli obstruction of the Palestinian firefighting system project, following their recent unjustified locking of electrical control panels." On June 11, the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf reported that Israeli occupation forces had padlocked electrical panels inside the Ibrahimi Mosque, risking power cuts to vital lighting systems. The endowment called for urgent intervention to halt these repeated violations against the Ibrahimi Mosque, which reopened earlier today after a 12-day closure citing "security reasons." Located in the old city of Hebron—under full Israeli control—the Ibrahimi Mosque is surrounded by roughly 400 Zionist settlers guarded by some 1,500 Israeli occupation soldiers. In 1994, Israel divided the mosque, allocating 63% for Jewish worship and 37% for Muslims, following a massacre by a Jewish settler that killed 29 Palestinian worshippers. The Jewish section includes the prayer hall. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

Donald Trump says US and Iran will hold nuclear talks next week

The US and Iran will hold talks next week on Tehran's nuclear ambitions, Donald Trump said, as he hailed a swift end to the war with Israel. The US president said his decision to join Israel's attacks by targeting Iranian nuclear sites with huge bunker-busting bombs had ended the conflict, calling it "a victory for everybody". "It was very severe. It was obliteration," he said, shrugging off an initial assessment by the US Defense Intelligence Agency that Iran's path to building a nuclear weapon may have been set back only by months. Speaking in The Hague where he attended a NATO summit on Wednesday, he said he did not see Iran getting involved again in developing nuclear weapons. Tehran has always denied decades of accusations by Western leaders that it is seeking nuclear arms. "We're going to talk to them next week, with Iran. We may sign an agreement. I don't know. To me, I don't think it's that necessary," Mr Trump said. Anxious Iranians and Israelis sought to resume normal life after the most intense confrontation ever between the two foes. Israel's nuclear agency assessed the strikes had "set back Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons by many years". The White House also circulated the Israeli assessment, although Mr Trump said he was not relying on Israeli intelligence. He said he was confident Tehran would pursue a diplomatic path towards reconciliation. "I'll tell you, the last thing they want to do is enrich anything right now. They want to recover," he said. He added that if Iran tried to rebuild its nuclear programme, the US "won't let that happen". "Number one, militarily we won't," he said, adding that he thought "we'll end up having something of a relationship with Iran" to resolve the issue. The head of the UN's nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, dismissed what he called the "hourglass approach" of assessing damage to Iran's nuclear programme in terms of months needed to rebuild as besides the point for an issue that needed a long-term solution. "In any case, the technological knowledge is there and the industrial capacity is there. That, no one can deny. So we need to work together with them," he said. His priority was returning international inspectors to Iranian nuclear sites, which he said was the only way to find out precisely what state they were in.

Abu Obaida: Recent ambushes are living portrayal of history, enemy soldiers' funerals will become permanent event, God willing

Gaza – Saba: The military spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Abu Obaida, stated on Wednesday evening that "the enemy's government is deceiving its own people and refusing to acknowledge that it is throwing its soldiers into the quagmire of Gaza for illusory political goals." He added in a post on his Telegram channel, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA): "Our mujahideen are presenting unparalleled examples of heroism and bravery," describing the recent ambushes as "living images of history that prove our people's mujahideen are the bravest and most self-sacrificing freedom fighters of the modern era." He continued: "The funerals and corpses of the enemy's soldiers will become a constant occurrence, God willing, as long as the occupation's aggression and its criminal war against our people continue."
