Sacha Baron Cohen makes Ozempic admission after revealing major body transformation
Actor Sacha Baron Cohen has revealed exactly what he did to transform his body ready to play a Marvel villain. The Borat star, 53, showed off his chiseled new appearance as he swapped his moustache for plenty of muscles.
He looked totally different as he unveiled his ripped physique as the Ali G actor now sports rock hard abs and toned arms as he carried two 30KG weights in a shirtless photoshoot. Sacha, who split from Isla Fisher in 2023, stunned his fans with his new look with many wanting to know exactly what he did to achieve it.
The Golden Globe winner told Men's Fitness UK that he asked Matthew McConaughey for celebrity trainer Alfonso Moretti's phone number. However, Sacha went on to share his photoshoot on his social media and added more details.
He said: "Some celebs use Ozempic, some use private chefs, some use personal trainers. I did all three." In a follow up post, Sacha hit back at claims his body transformation wasn't real.
"This is not AI," he insisted. "I really am egotistical enough to do this. Debuting my new character. Middle-aged man who replaced beer with protein shakes."
It later emerged that Sacha was "only joking" about using Ozempic in his transformation, as his representatives said it was "all down to hard work". Although some people use Ozempic to aid weight loss, it is not licensed for this, and instead, is licensed for the treatment of diabetes. It should only be used by people with diabetes to aid their symptoms.
Detailing his fitness journey, Sacha told the magazine: "I called Matthew [McConaughey] and asked for help. After asking who I was and how I'd gotten his number, he finally gave me Alfonso's contact."
He then had a FaceTime call with personal trainer Alfonso, who made him strip down to his underwear during their chat. Alfonso and Sacha had a short time frame to transform his body due to filming schedules.
Sacha was tasked with being 'consistent' by doing '100 push-ups a day'. He focused on short workouts and diets high in fibre and protein.
The actor shared: "25-minute workouts that were sustainable. Even while filming, the workouts happened. In the past, I would've thought you needed hour-long sessions. But the short sessions made it so much easier to stay consistent - even with the demands of being on set."
It certainly worked for Sacha, as within two weeks, the wardrobe team had to spend £3,600 to alter his costumes. His impressive transformation comes a month after Sacha andhis ex-wife, Isla, confirmed their divorce was finalised.
The former couple announced: "Our divorce has now been finalised. We are proud of all we've achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children."
The statement continued: "We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy." They announced their divorce in April this year but only just revealed their intention of co-parenting in a private and humble way.

The Naked Gun review: Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson get the daftness needed to make reboot work
Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson and the rest of the cast of this Naked Gun reboot understand the levels of daftness required to make it work, writes Alistair Harkness. The Naked Gun (15) ★★★ Spoof movies have been out of vogue for close to 20 years, done in by the Scary Movie and Not Another Movie franchises of the early 2000s and the fact that, thanks to Marvel's dominance, so much mainstream cinema already deconstructs itself now there's almost nothing left to parody. Perhaps that's why a running gag in The Naked Gun reboot has Liam Neeson dropping pop culture references that are 20 years out of date. Just as horror movies sometimes have to contrive ways to explain why their characters' smartphones don't work, this has to locate at least some of its humour in a pre-meta era. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Liam Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr in The Naked Gun | Frank Masi / Paramount Pictures That also makes some of the jokes seem a little tired out of the gate, yet there's fun to be had once Neeson settles into the silliness of a series defined by the late, great Leslie Nielsen's deadpan delivery and slapstick prowess. Cast as the son of Nielsen's heroically incompetent police lieutenant Frank Drebin, Neeson's all in playing Frank Drebin Jr, an idiot cop longing for the old days of Police Squad when middle-aged white guys could act with impunity and cancellation was something that only happened to failing TV shows. Pamela Anderson as Beth Davenport and Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr in The Naked Gun | Frank Masi / Paramount Pictures In this iteration, Frank Jr accidentally finds himself facing off against a tech billionaire (Danny Houston) with a dastardly plan to wipe out humanity, something that lets the film puncture some of the pomposity of the more recent Mission: Impossible movies (not to mention Neeson's own Taken franchise) while simultaneously sending up the indistinguishable world-ending plots of the average blockbuster, with deviations into Looney Tunes-style cartoon violence and goofball raunchiness. British contender to play James Bond insists he ‘wouldn't be good at it'
Popular British star Taron Egerton has downplayed suggestions he could take on the currently vacant role of James Bond, claiming he 'wouldn't be good at it'. All eyes are still on lists of bookies' odds and fan favourites while we wait to see who will inherit 007's licence to kill after Daniel Craig retired from the role following 2021's No Time to Die. But Egerton, 35, who is easy to visualise in the role after his star-making turn in the Kinsgman franchise, thinks he's too 'messy' for the part. The three-time Bafta nominee instead believes there are 'so many cool, younger actors' who would be better suited to the coveted role. Asked about the possibility of playing Bond, he told Collider: 'I don't think I'm a good choice for it. I think I'm too messy for that. 'I think I'm not – I really love James Bond and particularly Daniel Craig's tenure. But I think I wouldn't be good at it, and I think there's so many cool, younger actors who would be great for it. I think it would be wasted on me, probably.' Rocketman actor Egerton, who picked up a Golden Globe for his performance in the Elton John biopic, also observed that leading the Bond franchise is 'quite an undertaking'. He continued: 'That's not to say that I don't have aspirations and plans and also that I wouldn't be interested in doing something that's more commercial, because of course I would. I think I'm a period in my life where I've been probably following the things that speak to me on a creative level a little bit more, but, you know, I'm sure I won't feel that way forever.' The star also quipped that 'as far as I'm aware, nobody's asking me to do it'. Suggesting that this opportunity or similar is something he has weighed up before, Egerton was also realistic about its downsides, saying that playing Bond is 'possibly not quite the thing that would make me happiest'. 'I do think it's a big old undertaking, it kind of consumes your life, a role like that.' Egerton is currently promoting new indie crime thriller She Rides Shotgun, an adaptation of Jordan Harper's award-winning novel, after starring in Netflix's second most watched movie of all time, Carry-On. After well over a year of fevered speculation – ever since he was falsely reported to have officially landed the 007 gig, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has remained one of the front-runners to play Bond next. Fresh odds from Ladbrokes on Wednesday had him at 8/11, making him the first odds-on candidate in their eyes to be the next 007, after his appearance in 28 Years Later with Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes. Behind him is another hot favourite Callum Turner, next to be seen in A24 supernatural rom-com Eternity with Elisabeth Olsen and Miles Teller, and The Gentlemen's Theo James, both of whom are on 5/1. Slow Horses star and new Mr Darcy Jack Lowden is 6/1, and both Harris Dickinson and Tom Holland are 8/1. Egerton is currently 66/1 the bookmakers confirmed to Metro, having been bumped from 50/1 as recently as Friday. He started the year as 80/1 to be the next Bond, the same price as Sir David Beckham. His shortest odds were 25/1 just after he picked up his Golden Globe in 2020. Long-time producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson made the surprising move of ceding complete creative control of the 007 film franchise to their producing partners at Amazon MGM Studios earlier this year – for a rumoured extra $1billion (£747.5m). Since that change of power, things are moving a little more quickly with Amazon already announcing Harry Potter's David Heyman and Spider-Man's Amy Pascal as the new producers shepherding the franchise. More Trending In June, Oscar-nominated Denis Villeneuve was announced as the director for Bond 26 – with Broccoli later sharing her support from afar for the 'fantastic filmmaker'. 'I'm thrilled he's going to be doing it,' she added to Mark Kermode during an appearance on his podcast Kermode on Film. He's previously had success with his Dune adaptation, Blade Runner 2049 and 2016 alien movie Arrival, which earned him a best director nod. With key figures in the team aboard, it seems casting can now finally begin in earnest. Got a story?
