Surf icon Shawn Briley's 20-year-old son, Dakota, has been hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Hawaii, his loved ones said

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 14, on Kamehameha Highway on Oahu's North Shore, where Briley was pinned between two vehicles and suffered multiple injuries, according to the organizer of a GoFundMe, which has already raised more than $115,000 to support his recovery.
'He is currently fighting for his life and remains in the Intensive Care Unit in Honolulu,' the organizer of the fundraiser wrote. 'Dakota is suffering from multiple fractures in his legs, pelvis, ribs, and skull. His spine has also endured unthinkable injuries.'
His brother Ryder has been posting about the incident on social media, asking for prayers for Dakota's recovery.

'We believe he will get through this. He has a lot more battles to fight through, and if anyone can do it, it's Dakota,' Ryder wrote in a statement shared with the GoFundMe.
'Please pray for Dakota, he's in really rough shape and needs miracle from God,' Ryder wrote in his Instagram Stories on Monday, June 16, per Stab Magazine. "His ribs have been crushed, his spine is severed and broken in multiple places, the back of his skull has been crushed, fractured in over 8 places, from the hip down his legs have been crushed."
"He needs a miracle," Ryder added of his brother. "Please pray for God to make him whole again."
Following in his father's footsteps, Dakota is also a surfer on the North Shore, according to the outlet.

'Crews arrived quickly at the scene where one vehicle was on its roof. "Firefighters used specialist equipment to make the vehicle and area safe. "A man was taken to hospital by colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters were in attendance for around fifty minutes.' Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) have been contacted for more information.

A single vehicle crash has caused a busy A road in the south of Suffolk to shut. Suffolk police said they were called to the crash at 3.05pm this afternoon on Melford Road, near Glemsford. An air ambulance has landed nearby. The road has been closed between the Pentlow Lane and Skates Hill junctions. A spokesperson for Suffolk police said: "The road remains closed at this time to allow officers to deal appropriately at the scene and we would ask that alternative routes are found. PORT EDWARDS – The driver of a motorcycle was taken by helicopter to Marshfield Medical Center after a crash with a vehicle Friday evening in Wood County. The crash happened about 5:37 p.m. Aug. 15 on Wood County JJ, near the intersection with Grundwald Lane, in the town of Port Edwards, according to a news release from the Wood County Sheriff's Office. The initial investigation found a motorcycle was traveling south on Wood County JJ when it crossed the centerline of the road after going around a curve. The motorcycle then hit an oncoming vehicle in the northbound lane, according to the news release. The driver of the motorcycle was taken by Life Link III helicopter to Marshfield Medical Center, according to the news release. The driver of the car received medical attention on the scene and was released. The crash remains under investigation. The Wood County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Wood County Dispatch Center, Wood County Rescue, Port Edwards Police Department, Nekoosa Police Department, Port Edwards Fire Department, Nekoosa Fire Department, Town of Port Edwards Fire Responders, Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance, Wisconsin State Patrol, Life Link III and Nieman's Towing.
