Dakota Johnson shocks fans by SWEARING on live TV when asked about her love life... after Chris Martin split

Daily Mail6 hours ago

Dakota Johnson was quizzed about her dating life in a shock interview on Monday.
The timing is interesting as the The Fifty Shades Darker actress, 35, very recently split from Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, 48.
In an appearance on The Today Show Craig Melvin asked her and her Materialists co-star Chris Evans a sensitive question.
'If either of you were to engage with a real-life matchmaker, what would be one non-negotiable for you?' asked Craig.
Evans said that his prospective partner 'must love dogs.'
Johnson's answer was barbed. 'Like, not an a**hole,' she blurted out, which made both the audience and those on set with her laugh.
'That's concise,' Evans, 43, said. 'There it is! Nail on the head.'
On Saturday, Dakota and Evans walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of their film Materialists.
While meandering down the step-and-repeat, she puckered her lips and kissed her hunky co-star.
Dakota appeared to be in high spirits as she posed with Evans and held up a cardboard cutout of her on-screen love interest Pedro Pascal.
At one point, Johnson and Evans had their arms wrapped around each other tightly, and she leaned over to kiss cardboard Pascal's lips.
The display at her film premiere comes just shortly after Martin gave her a surprise shout-out while closing out the Coldplay show in Las Vegas on Friday night.
The singer unexpectedly referenced Johnson's latest film while speaking to the crowd in between songs.
Johnson and Martin were previously engaged and had been together for eight years on and off.
'Be kind to yourself. Be kind to each other,' he admonished before adding, 'Don't forget to see Materialists! We love you!'
A source told DailyMail.com: 'Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven't been able to figure out to make it official.
'Dakota held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.
'Breakups aren't instant and they continued to breakup and makeup and sometimes things would work when they were away from each other, while they were working because absence makes the heart grow fonder, but then they'd get back together and little things just kept adding up to where they weren't right for each other anymore.
'Dakota is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.'
The source added there is a chance the pair may reconcile but 'right now, being separated will do wonders if they were to have any type of future together.'
DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Johnson and Martin for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The pair had a brief rumored split in 2019 which was alleged to be over Martin pushing for them to have children, but they quickly got back together.
Martin famously split from actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow, the mother of his two children Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, in March 2014 after ten years of marriage.
The then-Hollywood power couple described their separation at the time as a 'conscious uncoupling' and had their divorce finalized in July 2016.
Martin was reported to be in an on-and-off relationship with actress Annabelle Wallis before they split in August 2017.
He was first seen with Dakota at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles in October 2017 when they were reported to be 'cozy, laughing and affectionate'.
Dakota, the daughter of Don Johnson, 75, and Melanie Griffith, 68, was spotted a month later at a Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina, leading to fans posing social media pictures of her enjoying the show.

NFL icon Cam Newton stuns fans with bizarre floral outfit on red carpet: 'He looks like my grandma's couch'

Former NFL star Cam Newton left fans befuddled on Monday night as he arrived to the BET Awards in an extremely eye-catching outfit. The 2015 MVP has become known for his daring style choices over the years and his latest look was no less risky, as he wore a sleeveless pink floral vest with matching pants. Newton completed the look with olive green loafers, a wide-brim hat and a neckerchief in similar colors. And fans had some hysterical critiques for the former Panthers and Patriots passer. 'He looks like my grandma's couch,' one wrote on X. 'Oh my and he thinks he looks good?' another asked. 'His fashion sense is trash,' a third chimed in. A fourth hilariously compared his outfit to a 'luxury Christmas wrap.' And a fifth said he looked like a 'ghetto a** Liberace.' Newton's look was even roasted by some in attendance of the award ceremony, as famous entertainers Druski and Kai Cenat laughed hysterically at it on the latter's stream. At one point in the night, Newton took the stage with sports commentator Ashley Nicole Moss, as the pair announced they'd be hosting a new show for BET. The show, they said, will be called '106 and Sports', a spin-off of the network's famous music video show '106 & Park.' Newton, who has also seen success with his '4th&1' and 'Funky Friday' podcasts, last played in the NFL in the 2021 season for the Panthers. Before he spent a one-season stint in New England the year prior, the 2011 No. 1 overall pick starred in Carolina for nine seasons, making three Pro Bowls and leading the team to the Super Bowl in the 2015 season. Newton made over $135million in his career, per Spotrac. Nonetheless, he recently admitted that it 'hurts' that he can no longer be 'superman' to his eight kids while earning less money in his post-football career. Newton has six biological children and is also raising two kids from ex-girlfriends' past relationships. 'I'm going into a different phase of my life that's going to require a different form of myself,' Newton said while featuring on the Fox reality television show 'Special Forces: World's Toughest Test'. 'Being in the NFL, everyone knows there's a large sum of money that comes to you in a short span of time and being away from the game for three years, those checks don't came in the same. Like I got eight kids.' 'It hurts me knowing that I can't provide like I once did. It hurts thinking that I'm Superman, but in reality, I'm just a man,' he added.

Weinstein jury set to keep deliberating after tensions spill into public

Jurors in Harvey Weinsteinn 'ssex crimes retrial appear to be moving past some interpersonal tensions and focusing on one of his three accusers as deliberations stretch into a fourth day Tuesday. At the end of Monday's session, jurors requested to start off Tuesday with electronic copies of emails and other evidence pertaining to Jessica Mann — the accuser with arguably the most complex history with Weinstein. During days of testimony, Mann said the Oscar-winning movie producer raped her in 2013 amid a consensual relationship that continued for years afterward. Weinstein's lawyers emphasized that she kept seeing him, accepting invitations and sending warm messages to him. Mann said she 'compartmentalized' the pain he caused her. Weinstein, 73, has pleaded not guilty to all the charges in the case. In addition to the rape charge, he's accused of sexually assaulting two other women, Mimi Haley and Kaja Sokola. Weinstein didn't testify during the current trial, but maintained through his attorneys that he had completely consensual encounters with his accusers, who wanted his help building show business careers. Weinstein was one of the movie industry's most powerful figures until a series of sexual misconduct allegations against him became public in 2017, fueling the #MeToo movement and eventually leading to criminal charges. The jury is made up of seven women and five men. Their closed-door discussions began Thursday and apparently have been fractious at times. One juror asked Friday to be excused because he felt one member of the group was being treated unfairly. Monday began with two jurors giving contrasting takes on the atmosphere in the deliberation room. First, the foreperson complained to the judge, prosecutors and defense lawyers that some jurors were 'pushing" others to change their minds, talking about Weinstein's past and going beyond the charges. The foreperson didn't specify what was said. Trial evidence has included some testimony about allegations outside the scope of the current charges, such as mentions of the groundswell of claims against the ex-studio boss in 2017. Another juror soon asked to speak to the court. In her estimation, things were 'going well' and jurors were 'making headway.' By the end of Monday, the jury as a whole said in a note that it was 'making good progress.' Weinstein originally was convicted in New York in 2020 of raping Mann and forcing oral sex on Haley. Sokola's allegation was added last year, after New York state's highest court overturned the 2020 conviction and sent the case back for retrial. Meanwhile, Weinstein is appealing a 2022 rape conviction in Los Angeles. The Associated Press generally does not identify people without their permission if they say they have been sexually assaulted. Sokola, Mann and Haley have agreed to be named.

Doechii blasts Trump administration's ‘ruthless attacks' in LA amid Ice raids

The rapper Doechii turned her acceptance speech at the BET awards on Monday night into a powerful call for justice as she criticized the Trump administration's deployment of military forces on protesters in Los Angeles. The Grammy winner used the stage to highlight the immigration raids and protest crackdowns happening just miles from where the ceremony took place in Los Angeles. After being named best female hip-hop artist – her first-ever BET award – Doechii acknowledged her fellow nominees, then shifted the spotlight to the issues unfolding outside the venue. 'There are ruthless attacks that are creating fear and chaos in our communities in the name of law and order,' said Doechii, who won a Grammy for best rap album, only the third woman to win in that category. The BET ceremony took place as tensions simmered across Los Angeles following a weekend of protest over immigration raids that took place on Friday, with dozens of people arrested. On Monday, Donald Trump authorized the deployment of an additional 2,000 national guard members in response to the protests, bringing the total number of guards deployed to the city to more than 4,100. 'Trump is using military forces to stop a protest,' Doechii said in her speech. 'I want you all to consider what kind of government it appears to be when every time we exercise our democratic right to protest, the military is deployed against us. What type of government is that?' Doechii's words drew applause from the audience at the Peacock Theater, where the awards airing live. 'People are being swept up and torn from their families,' she continued. 'I feel like it's my responsibility as an artist to use this moment to speak up for all oppressed people … We all deserve to live in hope and not fear. I hope we stand together.' As Doechii delivered her message as demonstrations continued in Los Angeles and cities across the US, including New York, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco. In downtown Los Angeles on Monday evening, law enforcement were seen pushing several hundred protesters east through Little Tokyo as night began to approach. Officers, who all appeared to be from the Los Angeles police department, used flash bangs and shot projectiles into the crowd as they pushed the protesters through a crowded, popular commercial area where bystanders and restaurant workers rushed to get out of their way. Some protesters set off fireworks and threw water bottles at the officers, yelling 'Shame!' or chanting, 'ICE out of LA'. California leaders have condemned Trump's actions as inflammatory. Karen Bass, the Los Angeles mayor, criticized the deployment of national guard troops and marines as a 'deliberate attempt' by the Trump administration to 'create disorder and chaos in our city'. 'I feel like we are part of an experiment that we did not ask to be a part of,' Bass said on Monday.
