Lack of paternal figure for men can lead to increased acts of domestic violence

Sky News AU11-06-2025
Child and adolescent psychologist Clare Rowe discusses the correlation between men who commit domestic violence offences and a lack of a paternal figure in their lives.
'The research is absolutely unequivocal about the roles fathers play in children's lives, fathers or father figures,' Ms Rowe told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
'To have a paternal role, it cannot be substituted in any other way, and it has lifelong effects for kids.'

‘Swamp monsters' at CIA attempt to undermine Trump, Tulsi Gabbard confirms

Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer discusses US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who confirmed there are deep state intel agents at the CEA who are trying to undermine US President Donald Trump. 'There is zero shred of doubt in my mind that these swamp monsters, you know, proliferate frankly throughout all the various organs of the intelligence communities,' Mr Hammer told Sky News host Rita Panahi. 'I do think that there are serious chances of getting John Brennan, James Comey, and or Hilary Clinton on perjury charges. 'I have long been of the opinion that when it comes to this lawfare that the Democrats started … I do think that short-term escalation is necessary to throw some punches back in the service of a mid to long-term truce.'

British government silences critics by flagging anti-migrant social media posts

Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says the British government has flagged videos with supposedly concerning narratives about illegal immigrants, warning these videos are allegedly exacerbating tensions on the streets. 'The home office now has set up a new task force to look up anti migrant sentiment online that they fear could be sparing the kinds of protests that we're seeing,' Ms Krakue told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. 'To make matters worse, now it seems you can't even complain about it.'

‘War crime': World turns away from dying Israeli hostage

Sky News host Sharri Markson discusses the Sydney Harbour Bridge protests and war crimes committed with slowly dying Israeli hostages. 'To the Harbour Bridge protest and the actual war crime of the slowly dying hostages, a cruel sight the world turns away from when it is unfolding right before our eyes,' Ms Markson said. 'We witnessed a national disgrace on the weekend as our iconic Harbour Bridge was defiled and abused for a divisive protest.'
