HELP University and ISCA collaborate
HELP University, a private university in Malaysia, and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) have teamed up to provide new educational opportunities for students pursuing accounting careers.
As a partner of ISCA in Malaysia, HELP University will work to align its academic offerings with professional standards through this collaboration.
The agreement was signed by HELP University vice chancellor Dr Liew Teik Kooi and ISCA CEO Fann Kor with accounting and industry professionals present.
The partnership includes recognising ISCA qualifications within HELP University's Bachelor in Accounting programme and developing specialised training and a Level Zero Programme.
It also involves introducing the ISCA Accountify Subscription Package and exploring joint certifications and bursaries for high-performing accounting students.
Discussions are underway to establish HELP University as an ISCA recognised learning organisation and an overseas examination centre in Malaysia.
The agreement also covers prospects for professional internships, job placements, and research on ESG compliance and regulatory governance.
In March 2025, ISCA launched the Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification Career Mobility Programme (CMP), designed to create cross-border work opportunities and foster cross-cultural learning and overseas work experience.
The CMP is set to start with a pilot in Vietnam and may expand to additional countries by the second quarter of 2025.
ISCA is the national accountancy body of Singapore, with more 39,000 members spread across more than 40 countries and are supported through 12 overseas chapters in ten countries.
