CHOCCY TIME Cadbury launches new limited edition colour-changing Dairy Milk chocolate bars – and they're perfect for hot weather
CADBURY has unveiled a brand new range of limited-edition Dairy Milk chocolate bars that change colour when chilled – and they're ideal for summer snacking.
The new Cadbury Dairy Milk Summer Edition bars and the Iced Latte flavour are hitting shelves across the UK from June 2025, wrapped in cold-activated packaging that transforms in the fridge.

Based in Birmingham, the chocolate giant confirmed that the special packs use thermochromic technology to reveal vibrant designs – including deck chairs, umbrellas, kites, and inflatables – when cooled. It's the first time Cadbury has launched a product like this.
'This summer, Cadbury Dairy Milk is reigniting the debate around storing chocolate in the fridge,' said Mara Popa, junior brand manager at Cadbury Dairy Milk.
'Our new Cadbury Dairy Milk Summer Editions range features cold-activated packs, reminding consumers that chocolate is a great snacking option in the warmer weather.
'Additionally, our limited-edition Cadbury Dairy Milk Iced Latte tablet is designed to excite consumers with a brand new flavour crafted for summer.

This NPD also features colour changing packaging, highlighting the chilled chocolate trend in a playful way and tapping into the debate.'
The cold-reactive wrappers aren't just eye-catching – they're a clever nod to how Brits really eat chocolate.
According to Cadbury's research, more than half the nation stores their bars in the fridge, especially during the warmer months.
Despite this trend, the brand has advised fans to think twice before chilling their choc. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), a spokesperson warned that the fridge might not always be the best place.

'Chocolate should always be stored in a slightly cool, dry, dark place such as a cupboard or pantry at temperatures less than 21°C to ensure the quality isn't compromised,' they explained.
Still, curiosity is high.
Shoppers beg Cadbury's to bring back 2005 recipe on iconic bar - as they moan current one 'tastes like candle wax'
A whopping 67 per cent of Brits said they're open to trying chilled chocolate, and Cadbury is leaning into that interest with a playful summer twist.
All five bars in the Edition range will be available in major retailers nationwide and have a recommended price of £2.

However, prices may vary depending on the store.
Chocoholics can expect a limited run, so fans might want to snap them up quickly once they appear in shops.
The packaging not only changes colour, but also ties in with the look and feel of a traditional British summer – perfect for picnics, beach days, or just a cool treat at home.
The launch of the iced latte-flavoured Dairy Milk also adds to Cadbury's growing line-up of coffee-infused treats.

The bar combines smooth milk chocolate with a creamy coffee centre and crunchy biscuit bits, designed to satisfy both choc and coffee lovers.
Cadbury has already seen success with coffee-flavoured chocolate.
The Twirl Iced Latte has popped up in B&M stores in recent weeks, earning rave reviews from fans.
Meanwhile, a collab with coffee brand Kenco gave us the chocolate-flavoured mocha – another hit among sweet-toothed sippers.

And it's not stopping there.
From 2 June, the brand will also roll out a limited-edition Twirl White Dipped bar, combining its famous flaky layers with a coating of smooth white chocolate.
A post on Facebook teased the launch, calling it 'unreal, indulgent, smooth, swirly, creamy, melty, new, and mouthwatering.'
Earlier this month, fans also spotted a new Cadbury Dairy Milk Balls pack in shops, drawing comparisons to the nostalgic Cadbury Tasters – small, round chocolate treats first launched in 1996.

With so many launches lined up and a summer full of colourful, cold-friendly packaging, Cadbury is clearly out to make this season a choc-filled celebration.
How to save money on chocolate
We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...
Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.
Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

'I queued for Wimbledon to see if it was worth it and reality left me floored'

'I queued for Wimbledon to see if it was worth it and reality left me floored' A woman queued for Wimbledon in a bid to see if the experience was "worth it", but the reality left her floored when she came to make a pretty big sporting discovery She decided to try her luck in the Wimbledon queue (stock image) (Image: Getty Images ) At this time of year lots of sports-loving Brits watch Wimbledon, and thousands also join the queue to try and sample the live action. That's exactly what one woman did this week, but the reality of the experience left her totally floored. The tennis-lover, known as disorderella on TikTok, said she was "unlucky" when she made her way to the queue, but she also made a pretty big discovery about the system, and how it works. Up until then, it looks as though she didn't know how tough it would be to bag a spot at the annual summer sporting event. ‌ Over a clip of herself, she wrote: "Didn't get into Wimbledon today. Closed the queue and told everyone to go home at 7.30pm. ‌ "I only waited for 1.5 hours and it was a dreadful experience. Don't recommend it to anyone. Will only go when I have a ticket from now on." Content cannot be displayed without consent Since the video was shared, several people commented to offer their thoughts, and some also asked questions. They wanted to know what her plan of action was. Article continues below One asked: "What time did you start queuing at?" To this, she replied: "Around 5.30pm to 6pm", and it was suggested this was a "late time" to join the queue. None the less, she claimed she's done this in previous years, and it seemed to work fine, adding: "Just to clarify, they turned down people who had been queuing hours after me. So, I would say, queuing after 2pm to 3pm is pointless." To this, someone replied: "Oh, I see. I went today, but we queued at 8am and got in at 3pm." One more added: "It's been like this for some time now. You should never even bother without a ticket - not worth your time or effort, especially in this heat." ‌ If you didn't know how the queuing system works, there are rules people have to follow if they don't have tickets. On Wednesday, July 2, Wimbledon issued a warning to people urging them not to queue. The website reads: "Please be aware that the queue for day three - Wednesday, July 2 - is very busy and to avoid disappointment we strongly advise you not to travel to the grounds today." Advice on how the queue works adds: "Wimbledon remains one of the very few major sporting events where you can buy premium tickets on the day of play. Each day a large queue forms to buy either one of the limited show court tickets available, or a grounds ticket. ‌ "Tickets are sold on a best available, one per person queuing basis and are non-transferable. The queue often starts the evening before and increases very early in the morning. "Please bear in mind that we have a grounds capacity limit and once this is reached, entry may only be possible as people leave the grounds for the day. Please don't travel to the grounds without first checking the queue status on In a bid to better guest experience, people are being asked to download the Wimbledon app and create a myWIMBLEDON account before attending the event this year. When you arrive, you'll be issued with a queue card and will be "checked in" to the queue by a steward via the Wimbledon App. Article continues below Before the grounds have opened in the morning, tickets will start being sold to those at the front of the queue. People who manage to get tickets will then be invited into the Queue Village until the grounds open at 10am.

'I tried KFC for the first time and was left completely traumatised'

KFC is a high street favourite for thousands of hungry Brits every single day but one YouTuber who had never actually been to one decided to give it a try – before having instant regrets A content creator had her first ever KFC and promised to never return after her meal was not so 'finger lickin' good' after all. Hannah Ricketts, a YouTuber who specialises in lifestyle and travel themes, said the Kentucky fried chicken will "haunt" her for a long time. In a recently uploaded video titled 'I Tried KFC For The First Time...I AM TRAUMATISED', she explained what exactly went wrong. She started her vlog by acknowledging her life-long absence from KFC. Hannah described herself as a McDonald's girl at heart and during her university days she stuck to Chicken Cottage. However, she was excited by her first KFC outing, and had a gut feeling that it was going to be 'yummy' fast food treat. ‌ In total, she spent £15.25 inside the branch in Edgeware Road, London, and got a small popcorn chicken, a Zinger burger, gravy and two pieces of original recipe chicken. ‌ Tucking into the popcorn chicken in a park nearby, she said: 'It is so dry. They are a bit pale, a little bit pasty. I feel they could have been cooked for a little longer.' However, she said the flavour, described as peppery, was nice, but that the £2 was steep for what she got. She added that it was 'not a great start' before things went from bad to worse. Testing the gravy, she said it looked "absolutely rancid' and questioned why it looked 'funky' and whether white bits were supposedly floating inside. Trying her Zinger burger, she said it had a nice heat but the piece of chicken was very thin, especially given it was £6. And ripping into the meal, she said: 'There is like a hard lump there and I don't really want to eat that. There is such inconsistency in the fry, there is loads of crispy bits down here and it is a little bit soggy on the other side. ‌ 'I think it is just not cooked very well or the chicken is just really bad quality. I'm not sure.' She said the mayo was 'ok' but that the burger looked like it had been sat for a long time, before refusing to eat any more. But the final straw for Hannah were the chicken pieces, and after taking a bite, she said: 'Oh my God, what is that? It is mushy.' After spitting it out, she continued: 'Ok, you are going to comment saying 'look at you with your designer sunglasses on and you go to these hotels and fancy places'. Your girl grew up on Chicken Cottage, that is absolutely disgusting. Oh my God, I don't think I've ever had such a disgusting chicken.' Hannah then questioned who was going to KFC for their lunch and said the quality of the chicken was 'unacceptable' and 'absolutely foul'. ‌ She then said she was 'feeling funny' because of the texture of the chicken and asked her 370,000 subscribers: 'Is this a joke?' The YouTuber said she would never return to a KFC and said the 'greasy' snacks put her in a bad mood, despite acknowledging that she forgot to order chips, and said they looked appealing. Trying to offer balance, she said the flavour and seasoning of the chicken had potential, but that the quality was 'foul'. Concluding her experience, she said: 'It is disgusting. I don't know if because it is such a big franchise there is a lack of consistency – I think that's probably what it is. ‌ 'I don't expect it to be a Michelin star. I don't expect it to be particularly great. But it just has to be good, honest, flavourable food that is maybe a little bit fresh. 'I don't mind if it is a little bit dry here and there, it is fast food at the end of the day. We all have hit and miss McDonald's and Burger King or Dominoes or whatever. 'But for that price, the quality of the chicken, that chicken leg, that is going to haunt me for a while.'

The Double Filet-O-Fish has arrived — but McDonald's fans have one issue with it

It's finally the moment Filet-O-Fish fans have been waiting for… the Double Filet-O-Fish has arrived! McDonald's in the UK has launched a brand new twist on the iconic burger for the very first time in its 50 year history. The new item, which costs £5.29, features not one but two pollock fish patties in crispy breadcrumbs, melted cheese and tartare sauce inside a steamed bun. Brits raced to get their hands on it after it dropped at 11am on July 1, with those who tried it hailing it as 'perfect', 'truly amazing', 'the best' and 'worth the wait'. However, some who tried ordering it via the McDonald's app and as well as other apps like Deliveroo, have pointed out one issue with the new product. Currently, you can't customise your Double Filet-O-Fish order via apps to add anything extra – you can only take away existing ingredients completely. So, you can remove the cheese or the tartare sauce from the burger, but you can't substitute these for anything else, like swapping tartatre sauce for ketchup. Instead, your only option when ordering this way would be to add a ketchup dip to your order for an additional 20p. This was an issue Chris Cuthill experienced, as he shared: 'No Tartare sauce for me, but no option to add tomato sauce!' But this only seems to be the case when ordering via the app or on the screens in restaurants. Those who pyhsically went up to a cashier were able to make changes to their order in person. Alexis Victoria proved this in The Filet-O-Fish Facebook Society of 2012 group when she posted a snap of her Double with extra pickles. You should also expect the unexpected when it comes to the 'placement' of your Double Filet-O-Fish. Hilarious snaps of wonky burgers have been shared all over social media, and according to Will Davenport, 'most shops are making it wrong'. He claims the slice of cheese should be sandwiched in between the two patties and it should be a full slice of cheese – unlike in the regular Filet-O-Fish where customers only get half a slice. However, some people have received burgers with cheese on the bottom of the two patties and some have only been given half a slice of cheese. According to food reviewer, Bald Food Guy, if you're served a Double Filet-O-Fish with cheese on the bottom, it's a 'waste of time'. In his YouTube review, he claimed that the cheese was 'lost' at the bottom of the burger and he couldn't taste it. He urged the fast food chain to add more cheese. And @emilyjade felt similarly about her Double Filet, claiming without cheese in the middle, the whole thing was quite 'dry'. And while more cheese never goes amiss, these niggles don't seem to have put the vast majority of people off, with many absolutely obsessed with the new product. On TikTok, a user known as @sarahxgriffiths went as far as to brand the new burger 'orgasmic', while @elieeewbu claimed 'life couldn't get any better' after trying it, adding it had 'answered all her prayers'. If those reviews don't make you want to grab your car keys and head out to Maccies, I don't know what will… This comes as McDonald's unveiled its new Happy Meal collab for July and a fan-favourite is returning. After two years, Squishmallows are back in the iconic red boxes from July 2, with 15 cute little plushies to collect from the fast food chain. More Trending The rarest toy you can get is Halley – a never-before-seen Intergalactic Axolotl that's exclusively available in McDonald's meals. Other toys available include a pickle named Charles, a cactus known as Maritza, a cat called Cam, Babs the penguin and Junie the banana. Each Squishmallow toy has its own backstory and 'personality' according to the brand and they have proved incredibly popular in McDonald's branches around the world. The new Squishmallows, including Halley, launched in the US in May, and customers went wild over the toys. They've also recently been available in New Zealand and Australia where they caused a stir too. Do you have a story to share?
