Coco Gauff Makes Outfit Admission After Berlin Open Loss

Coco Gauff Makes Outfit Admission After Berlin Open Loss originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Tennis star Coco Gauff's performance at the Berlin Open didn't end on a high note, but she made sure to serve up stylish looks on the court. Advertisement Following her victory at the French Open, the 21-year-old failed to score big on the grass court and ultimately lost to China's Wang Xinyu in Berlin. Despite the heartbreaking loss, she didn't let the outcome discourage her; instead, she chose to share the moment on social media. In a new Instagram post, she shared a closer look not only at her outfit but also at the fierce game face behind it. 'The rare tennis pic where my face actually looks normal,' she wrote. The two-time Grand Slam winner matched the grass court with her game-day look in a Miu Miu and New Balance collaboration. Gauff's outfit featured a white and dark green color palette, a nod to the surface she was playing on. She arrived at the Steffi Graf Stadium in a track jacket paired with a pleated skirt. Advertisement During the game, she went for a white cropped top with green details. Moreover, she also matched her accessories from the headband to the wristbands for a tonal look. Meanwhile, the comment section was filled with fans gushing over her game face and stylish fit. 'That outfit is [fire emoji]' a user said. 'Big credit for you, New Balance and Miu Miu, for creating this stunning outfit. This is true art!!!' a fan added. On the other hand, one follower didn't hold back and pointed out how the tennis star repeatedly adjusted her outfit during the match. 'This outfit is a big NO. You kept adjusting it the whole time. They need to go back to the drawing board,' a commenter said. Advertisement The comment prompted Gauff to respond candidly and explain that it was not a wardrobe issue. 'I always adjust my skirts or headbands not because it doesn't fit, it's just something to do with my hands to not crash out on court, redirecting my focus onto something else instead of negative thoughts. Almost every outfit I'm always moving something around. Y'all gotta think first,' she replied. The reigning Roland Garros champion also responded to a fan who urged her to rewear the kit. 'Manifesting a re-wear of this outfit because it was everything! Please consider it!!!' Gauff's follower said, to which she replied, 'New balance and I stay on a tighttt schedule. So it's most likely not coming back.' 18 in a row for Alcaraz in Queen's Wimbledon statement

Top seed Carlos Alcaraz has edged powerful Czech Jiri Lehecka 7-5 6-7 (5-7) 6-2 to claim his second Queen's Club Championship title and send out a powerful statement ahead of his Wimbledon defence. Spaniard Alcaraz, who triumphed at the same venerable London championship a few weeks before claiming his first Wimbledon title in 2023, extended his winning streak to 18 matches but was pushed hard by Lehecka who underlined his own credentials as a rising force. Alcaraz, 22, pounced at 5-5 to break the Lehecka serve and duly bagged the opening set in 45 minutes in Sunday's final. Lehecka, bidding to become the first Czech to win the Queen's title since Ivan Lendl in 1990, continued going toe-to-toe with the five-times grand slam champion and edged the second-set tie-break with some clinical tennis. Alcaraz had more in his locker though and forged 4-1 ahead in the decider as Lehecka's level finally began to drop on a breezy Andy Murray Arena. He then broke the 23-year-old Lehecka's serve again to complete victory, letting out a roar of a delight as Lehecka struck a backhand into the net. While Alcaraz will be seeded No.2 at Wimbledon behind Jannik Sinner as he bids for a hat-trick of titles there, he will arrive in red-hot form and as overwhelming favourite. He has won 27 of his 28 matches since April, his lone loss coming against Holger Rune in the Barcelona final, and Sunday's win was his fifth title this year. "This is really special this trophy and this tournament for me," Alcaraz said on court as he clutched the huge piece of silverware. "Jiri had an incredible week and his level is very high and it's a nightmare to play against you," he added, to his opponent. The man of the hour 🙌An incredible week it was for @carlosalcaraz 👏@QueensTennis | #HSBCChampionships — ATP Tour (@atptour) June 22, 2025 Lehecka, whose ball-striking and physique are not dissimilar to Lendl's, beat home favourite Jack Draper in the semi-finals on Saturday and began full of confidence against Alcaraz whom he beat at the start of the year in Doha. With serve dominating on the slick lawn, there was nothing between the players until Lehecka made a couple of errors at 5-5 and Alcaraz needed no second invitation to take the set. The second set followed a similar pattern but it was Lehecka who raised his game in the tiebreak to get a mini-break ahead. Alcaraz replied to win a sensational point at 3-4, sprinting to retrieve a drop shot and then back to chase down a lob. But Lehecka did not flinch and banged down an ace. Alcaraz double-faulted at 5-5 and then Lehecka levelled the final. Lehecka was unable to carry that momentum though and Alcaraz quickly re-established control and surged to victory. "The goal this week was just to compete and have a few matches on the grass and this final was a gift for me," Alcaraz said. "I just enjoyed the moment and the final, I felt like I was in control most of the time."

Beaten Zverev 'satisfied' with his tennis ahead of Wimbledon

German tennis player Alexander Zverev reacts after losing to Russia's Daniil Medvedev in their Men's singles semi-final tennis match during the Terra Wortmann Open. David Inderlied/dpa Alexander Zverev says he is feeling good ahead of Wimbledon despite losing in the Halle semi-final to personal nemesis Daniil Medvedev. The German world number three is the best men's tennis player yet to win a grand slam singles title. His form and history on grass would not suggest that statistic will change at the All England Club beginning on June 30, but the 28-year-old is quietly confident. Advertisement "I am satisfied with the level I played at," Zverev told reporters after Saturday's narrow 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-1), 4-6 loss to Russian Medvedev, who now holds a 13-7 head-to-head over the German. "In the decisive moments, he just played a little better," Zverev added. "It was a great match at a high level." He lost the final on grass in Stuttgart to Taylor Fritz before his efforts in Halle. "I can still improve things before Wimbledon, and I will," said Germany's number one. "But for the second week on grass, that was really OK." Zverev has never progressed beyond the fourth round at the grass grand slam. He will unwind in Kitzbühel this week before heading to London.
