Tacoma police investigating after man was shot, injured downtown
Tacoma police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a man just before midnight Thursday downtown. Multiple 911 callers reported the incident near the 300 block of South 9th Street, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson Shelbie Boyd said Friday. She said the man was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were possibly life threatening. No suspects have been arrested, Boyd said. It's unclear what led to the shooting. Emergency services scanner traffic indicated the victim was shot three times, and another person was stuck under a car near 9th and Market streets. A suspect reportedly fled west.
