Man arrested on suspicion of murder over missing woman who vanished in September
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder over the disappearance of a 54-year-old woman who has been missing since September.
Nazire Koreli, from Welling, south-east London, has not been seen since September last year, but was only reported missing to the police on February 28.
Detectives said she has lots of friends in the area and are appealing for anyone who has seen her since September to contact them.
She is described as slim, with light brown hair and olive skin.
A man aged in his fifties was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder, and remains in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said: 'Our officers have made multiple inquiries to locate Nazire.
'We are keeping an open mind and this is currently being managed as a missing person investigation.
'Officers have arrested a man in connection with Nazire's disappearance who remains in custody.
'Nazire had many friends and acquaintances in the Bexley area, so we are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen her from September 2024 to March this year.'

Amazon van stuck in mud broken into in Lyon County, multiple packages missing
LYON COUNTY (KSNT) – Some people around Lyon County may not be getting their packages this week after an Amazon delivery van was broken into after being trapped in mud for days. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office posted on social media that it is investigating a recent case of theft involving an Amazon Prime Van. Deputies were called on Monday, June 9 to the 1700 block of Road N to help remove this van after it took a wrong turn and became stuck in some mud. Deputies responding to this situation found the van had been stuck for several days. Upon further investigation, law enforcement noticed someone had broken into it and taken several packages. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is asking locals to help it with the investigation into the break-in. Person of interest in Inkster homicide case may have been found in Florida, police say
Police are pursuing a lead for the location of a person of interest in a 2023 homicide case out of Inkster, Michigan. The Inkster Police Department reported Tuesday they are working with detectives from the Fort Myers Police Department in Florida to obtain DNA samples from the man in question. Once obtained, the evidence will be sent to a forensic laboratory for comparison and analysis. If the DNA is a match to the Michigan case under review, Inkster will request an extradition. The victim of the Inkster homicide was a 34-year-old man whose body was found in a garage. "We are committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that justice is served and that those responsible are held accountable," Police Chief Taika Jenkins said.
