2 juveniles among 3 shot in Xenia Friday

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Three people, including two juveniles, were shot in Xenia on Friday evening.
A Xenia Police Division release said the shooting happened in the 100 block of Hivling Street at approximately 6:15 p.m.
When officers reached the home, they found three people, including two teens and one younger. Officers provided first aid until the arrival of the paramedics, who took all three to nearby hospitals.
Officials said the 911 caller stated a person had shot at her, her son and two juveniles.
Xenia PD doesn't believe there is a threat to the public at this time.
The initial investigation shows that the people involved knew each other. However, detectives are still interviewing those injured and determining what happened.

A person was injured in an early morning shooting in McKeesport. According to Allegheny County police, McKeesport officers responded to White Street between Shaw Avenue and Ravine Street around 2:45 a.m. Sunday because of a ShotSpotter notification. Those officers found evidence of a shooting but no victim. ACPD says not long later, the victim showed up at an area hospital shot in the hand and abdomen. They are in stable condition. DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — After nearly 30 years of service, a major with the Xenia Police Division has retired. Xenia police announced that Major Jeffrey Osburn retired from the Division on Friday. Osburn has a long history in the area, as he graduated from Xenia High School and worked in law enforcement in Champaign and Greene counties. To recognize Osburn's retirement, Xenia Mayor William Urschel officially proclaimed June 6 as 'Major Jeffery Osburn Day' in the city. 'His work ethic, honesty, and commitment to doing things the right way have earned the respect of everyone around him,' said Brent Merriman, city manager of Xenia. Child flown to hospital following Greene Co. crash

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A juvenile was flown to the hospital after a crash in Greene County Thursday evening. The Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia Post is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred around 7 p.m. in the 4200 block of Hussey Road. Investigation revealed a 2021 Ford Escape was traveling eastbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and hit a child in the front yard. OSP dispatchers confirmed one child was flown to Dayton Children's with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Xenia Post at this time.
