Golden hour: What a beautiful start to any day! This photo was taken at the start of the day this week at Berkeley by our weather watcher, SantaSusie. Nothing beats a sunny Gloucestershire morning, does it?
Among the wildflowers: What a stunning view at Cotswold Lavender. It is now peak season for them as visitors from all over the world come flooding in. They opened up early this year because of the heat. It meant that the lavender came out early so they had to get the gates open slightly earlier than normal.
One foot in front of the other: GWR colleagues have been walking up and down Gloucester train station's platform through the night in pairs to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK and support colleagues living with the disease.
Clever work: This picture — taken by photographer Still Photo Malone — is essentially lots of photos stacked on top of each other, 217 photos to be exact, with a 30-second exposure on each.The photos were taken over a two hour period between midnight and 0200 BST at the Old Severn Railway Bridge.

Yorkshire Water hosepipe ban saves millions of gallons during heatwave
Yorkshire Water said it had received more than 100 reports of people flouting its hosepipe ban, as it thanked users for saving millions of litres over the ban, which is expected to last until winter, was introduced by Yorkshire Water on Friday, with more than 5m householders barred from using hosepipes for activities such as watering the garden, washing the car or filling a paddling company praised its customers after water usage dropped by about 26m gallons (100m litres) in just two Kaye, director of water at Yorkshire Water, said: "We'd like to thank customers who have put down the hosepipes over what was an extremely hot weekend." Lake District runner airlifted to safety during 55 mile race
An ultramarathon runner was airlifted to safety after he collapsed from the heat during a 55 mile (88.5km) mountain race, rescuers have Mountain Rescue Team (PMRT) were called to Grisedale Valley, in the Lake District, at about 16:00 BST on Saturday after the runner became pale, vomited and lost West Ambulance Service contacted mountain rescue as well as the coastguard, which sent a helicopter to winch the man to safety before taking him to the King George playing field in said the runner was then "checked over by a team doctor at Patterdale Base and transferred to hospital for further checks". Temperatures in Grisedale reached 29C (85F) on Saturday, according to The Met said the rescue lasted two and a half hours and involved 11 team members, as well as the coastguard.
