iQOO 15 screen and camera specs tipped

GSM Arena30-05-2025
The iQOO 13 was among the first phones to launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite when it made its debut in late October of last year and expectations are that its successor will launch around the same time this fall. Digital Chat Station went ahead and shared some preliminary specs for the device, which will apparently be called iQOO 15.
As per the post, the iQOO 15 will feature a Samsung-made 6.85-inch "2K" display. This is most likely an LTPO AMOLED panel, and the tipster suggests that it will utilize the LIPO (low injection pressure overmolding) display packing process, which helps reduce display bezels.
Aside from the fancy new display, iQOO 15 is expected to offer a periscope camera module, which would be an upgrade from the 2x telephoto found on its predecessor. Previous rumors also suggest a 7,000mAh battery. vivo iQOO 13

Samsung boasts impressive durability of Galaxy Z Fold 7's OLED panel with rigorous fold test

Samsung Display is putting durability front and center in its latest foldable OLED panel, claiming the technology can now handle 500,000 folds without failing. That's a significant leap from the previous benchmark of 200,000 folds, and Samsung is using this milestone to showcase the long-term reliability of the display featured in the Galaxy Z Fold panel's durability was verified by Bureau Veritas, a global testing and certification company. According to the results, the OLED panel withstood half a million folds during a test period of 13 days at room temperature (25°C or 77°F) and remained fully functional. For context, 500,000 folds would translate to more than 10 years of use for typical users and over six years for those who fold their device more than 200 times a Display says this improvement comes from a new internal shock-resistant structure inspired by the way bulletproof glass is designed. Bulletproof materials typically use multiple layers of reinforced glass and plastic films to disperse energy. Samsung applied a similar principle by increasing the thickness of the Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) on the panel by 50 percent and introducing a new high-elastic adhesive between each layer. The adhesive reportedly offers four times the recovery performance of the previous material. Samsung shows off the durability accomplishment achieved on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 . | Images credit — Samsung Additionally, a new structural design helps distribute shock evenly, while a titanium support plate has been added behind the panel. Titanium is stronger and lighter than conventional materials, allowing for improved protection without increasing bulk. Samsung states the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the first Samsung foldable to feature this upgraded panel, and it marks the seventh year since Samsung launched its first foldable OLED devices. Hojung Lee, EVP and Head of Mobile Display Product Planning at Samsung Display, said the company sees this as a key step in building consumer trust in foldable durability. We have covered previous generations of Samsung foldables, including fold tests conducted by third parties and user-reported concerns about crease visibility and long-term wear. This latest test, if reflective of real-world use, may help ease some of those concerns for buyers holding out for improved the Z Fold7's panel appears more durable than ever, real-world use will ultimately show whether Samsung's lab claims hold up. Still, this is a meaningful step toward making foldable smartphones a more practical choice for long-term daily use.

OnePlus and Oppo's next move may be a premium and compact Android tablet

Referential image of the OnePlus Pad. | Image credit — OnePlus OnePlus and Oppo may be planning a new chapter in their tablet strategy, with both companies rumored to be working on compact Android tablets powered by a next-gen flagship chipset. According to a leak posted on Chinese social media by the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the tablet will feature Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is expected to be formally announced in September under the name Snapdragon 8 Elite OnePlus version of this device is reportedly slated to launch sometime in the first half of 2026, alongside the OnePlus 15T. That phone is expected to succeed the OnePlus 13T and could feature a 6.3-inch display. If this timeline holds, it would be one of the first Android tablets to use Qualcomm's next-generation high-end chip. Image credit — Digital Chat Station on Weibo Both versions of the tablet — from OnePlus and Oppo — are said to include an 8.8-inch display, making them smaller than the companies' previous tablets, such as the OnePlus Pad (11.6 inches) and the Oppo Pad 2 (also 11.6 inches). While no other specs have been confirmed yet, this new form factor suggests the two brands may be targeting the compact premium tablet segment, potentially in competition with Apple's iPad mini or Lenovo's high-performance Tab Extreme the close relationship between Oppo and OnePlus, it is not surprising to hear that the two might be developing similar hardware under different brand names. The two companies have previously released nearly identical devices with minor software or design differences, such as the Oppo Pad 2 and OnePlus Pad, which were both released in 2023 and featured the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 we still don't have pricing or a detailed spec sheet, the timing of the launch — well after Qualcomm's chipset announcement — suggests both tablets may arrive in early 2026. That could give OnePlus and Oppo a chance to position these models against competitors' next-gen tablets, including Samsung's expected Galaxy Tab S11 lineup and whatever follow-up Apple has planned for the iPad mini. As always, we'll be keeping an eye on this development and will share more once specifications, design, and regional availability become clearer. For now, the idea of an 8.8-inch Android tablet with top-tier internals is something that will likely appeal to users who want a compact yet powerful slate without having to jump to the more expensive or larger tablet options.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+ details leak

Redmi launched the Note 14 Pro+ back in September in China, and so obviously the brand is hard at work on its successor. Today, the first few details about the upcoming Redmi Note 15 Pro+ have been leaked, so let's take a look. The phone is said to sport a screen with "1.5K" resolution and thin symmetrical bezels on all sides, a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera, and a battery capacity between 7,000 mAh and 7,999 mAh. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will allegedly be powered by the yet-unannounced Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which makes perfect sense considering the fact that the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is using its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. So, compared to last year's handset, the new one will get the same screen resolution, and the same resolution for both the main and telephoto cameras, but a newer SoC and a much bigger battery. Whether these upgrades will be enough remains to be seen. Do note that the model we're comparing to here is the Chinese (and Indian) Redmi Note 14 Pro+, not the international one - Redmi sometimes likes to launch different devices under the same name in different markets, though in this case the differences aren't very many.
