Minor injury rules Katarina Johnson-Thompson out of competing in Austria
Johnson-Thompson was set to take part in the Gotzis Hypo Meeting in Austria from May 31-June 1.
Instead, the 32-year-old two-time world champion will have to wait as she recovers from what she says is a minor issue.
Sharing the news on Instagram, the Liverpudlian wrote: 'I'm really gutted to share I've picked up an injury in training this week so won't be competing (at the Hypo Meeting) at the weekend.
'I was really looking forward to competing in my first heptathlon since Paris, especially at Gotzis as the event is so special.
'It is with a heavy heart that I've had to make this decision. Thankfully the injury is nothing serious and I'll be back on the track shortly.
'Good luck to all the athletes competing in Gotzis, no doubt you will put on another great weekend of combined events for all the fans that will be there. See you soon!'
Johnson-Thompson's silver last summer in France was her first Olympic medal in four Games.

World Rowing criticised for failing to remove historical videos of topless women filmed during races
Words by ITV News Sports Producer Joe Wardropper, Sports Editor Steve Scott and Producer Esme Jones World Rowing has been criticised for failing to remove a video from its website in which women were filmed sunbathing topless by a river during a World Cup women's race, ITV News can reveal. The footage, which was still available on the governing body's official website on Wednesday afternoon, was filmed during a race in Munich in the 1990s. The coverage twice cuts away from the race action to focus in on topless women, who are seemingly unaware they were being filmed. World Rowing was alerted to the existence of the video almost a week ago by Alan Sinclair, a former Team GB Olympic rower, and European Champion, who was reviewing old race footage as part of his job as a coach. Sinclair told ITV News he was ''horrified'' by what he saw. When first reporting the video to World Rowing, Sinclair cited ITV News' investigation into serious allegations at the world's oldest club, urging the governing body to act quickly. ''With the rowing world being in the news in the UK… it is vital that World Rowing sets an example by recognising - promptly - this issue,'' he wrote. ''I would have thought that World Rowing, as the international governing body, would want to be setting a precedent in making the rowing world a safe, respectful and inclusive place for all, especially with something that should have been so easily and swiftly corrected. We can do so much better." Sinclair told ITV News he first contacted World Rowing about the video on June 5 and received a reply on the same day from its European President, Annamarie Phelps, who acknowledged the video was ''shocking''. She then alerted a safeguarding officer at World Rowing, who promised to ''coordinate with the communications team to determine the appropriate course of action.'' Sinclair sent multiple follow-up emails, with Phelps replying on Saturday to say she had requested it be removed ''immediately'', before adding: ''I suspect nothing will happen until Monday.'' But the video has remained live on the website since. In his email to World Rowing, Sinclair said their failure to act made him ''question how seriously you [World Rowing] are taking this situation.'' ''The women being filmed deserve at the very least the respect of the videos being removed and that should have happened yesterday'', he wrote, a day after contacting the organisation.

Wrexham sent clear Paul Mullin transfer message after concerning rumours
Paul Mullin has been linked with a move away from Wrexham in the summer after being frozen out by manager Phil Parkinson, with an ex-player giving his verdict on the situation Wrexham's star striker Paul Mullin has been backed to dig deep and battle for his position despite being frozen out of the team. The prolific forward has been instrumental for the Red Dragons since his arrival in July 2021, netting an impressive 110 goals in 172 matches across all competitions. The 30-year-old Liverpudlian has seen his fame skyrocket since joining the club shortly after it was taken over by Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. His regular appearances on the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary series and a cameo in last year's blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverine film, courtesy of Reynolds, have significantly raised his profile. However, following back surgery last summer, Mullin found it tough to hit his stride in the first half of Wrexham's League One season. He was notably absent from the matchday squad completely in the league following the January transfer window. It followed manager Phil Parkinson bringing in strikers Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez to bolster his attack. He's been the talisman for the team and he's been the one who's scored all the goals. "Let's be fair, he's been one of the main reasons for Wrexham's success. He did hit that bad patch, but I do think that he could come back next season, because he's got it in him. I do think that he's a quality player." Reports surrounding Wigan's interest in Mullin first surfaced in April, with claims that Wrexham might consider letting him depart without a fee. With his contract at the Racecourse Ground extending until summer 2027, the proposition of releasing Mullin could help free up wages. However, Parkinson has reassured fans over Mullin's squad status, as well as that of his strike partner Ollie Palmer. Speaking to BBC Sport Wales in May, he said: "First of all, everyone's made a contribution. What level that has been doesn't matter because everybody's been together and contributed. "Of course, there's always players who would have liked to have played more. Equally, contributions can come in many forms, so I'm delighted with everybody as a group. "Mulls and Ollie will always be legends at this club for what they've done. They're under contract next year and they'll be back in pre-season ready to go again."
