Google brings Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL to India, starts from Rs 79,999
Google has unveiled the Pixel 10 series, which comprises three candybar phones and a book-style foldable device. As is the case every year, the smallest and most affordable amongst the new lineup is the vanilla Pixel 10, followed by the Pixel 10 Pro and its larger cousin – the Pixel 10 Pro XL. This year, the tech giant hasn't made any notable changes to the Pixel 10 series' design, but instead is bringing some much-needed hardware upgrades alongside new AI features. While all three phones are powered by the TSMC-manufactured Tensor G5 chipset, which brings significant performance upgrades, the Pixel 10 has also received some notable hardware upgrades, especially in the camera department. Unlike the dual camera setup on the Pixel 9, the newly announced Pixel 10 now sports a triple camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary lens in addition to a 48MP ultrawide shooter and a 10.8MP telephoto sensor that offers 5x optical zoom. Also, the 10.5MP selfie shooter seems to be the same as last year. And while the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL have the same camera sensors as last year, the image quality has improved a lot, thanks to Google's computational photography. To give you a quick recap, both the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL have a 50MP primary shooter, a 48MP ultrawide lens and a 48MP periscope telephoto shooter that supports 5x optical zoom. Also, unlike last year, Google is launching the Pixel 10 series with Android 16 out of the box and has promised that these phones will be getting 7 years of OS updates and security patches. All models in the Pixel 10 lineup – the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL will be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset – the tech giant's fastest and most capable chipset to date. Unlike its predecessor, the Tensor G5 is manufactured on TSMC's 3nm node, the same one Apple used for the iPhone 16 series' A18 chipset. In terms of performance, the Tensor G5 brings some significant upgrades as well as downgrades. While the Tensor G5's CPU is on average 34 per cent faster, the tech giant claims that the TPU is now 65 per cent faster on the Tensor G5, giving AI powered features a much needed speed boost. Talking of battery, Google says that the Tensor G5 chipset can easily last up to 30 hours on a single charge. Another notable upgrade is that the vanilla Pixel 10 now comes with 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL sport 16GB of RAM. WIth the Pixel 10 series, Google also bumped up the max brightness to 3,000 nits and improved the audio experience with more bass. All phones in the Pixel 10 series now have a triple camera setup with a dedicated telephoto lens that supports 10x optical zoom and up to 20x Super Res Zoom, making it easy to capture shots from a distance. Google also introduced Pixelsnap, a new magnetic technology like Apple's MagSafe that comes built into all Pixel 10 devices. This means users will now be able to effortlessly snap wireless chargers, stands, grips and other accessories. The tech giant also said that the new Pixel 10 series phones support wireless charging speeds up to 25W. The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are now available for pre-order today and are priced at Rs 79,999, Rs 1,09,999 and Rs 1,24,999 respectively. All three phones also come with one year of free Google AI Pro. The plan gives you access to Gemini 2.5 Pro and Veo, Flow, Whisk, NotebookLM with higher limits, Deep Search in AI Mode and Gemini in Google services like Gmail, Docs, Vids and more. You also get 2TB of free cloud storage and 1,000 monthly AI credits.
