Viewers will remember his tumultuous marriage to Liz (Beverley Callard).
Posting on X, Charlie shared a short clip of himself speaking from the coffee van.
He said: "Well folks, welcome to Bridge 19 café, which is on the Macclesfield Canal, going north something or other.
"Saturdays and Sundays, from breakfast time early in the morning until two o'clock."
He added: "I'm here sometimes, cooking for you so you can get a selfie and all that sort of craic as well."
One follower commented: "Keep up the great work Charlie."
Another added: "That's 25 minutes from me see you tomorrow ill have sausage bacon on thick bread with brown sauce and my Scooby will have 6 sausages please."
Charlie joined the Coronation Street cast as Jim McDonald in 1989, staying on for an impressive 11 years.
He quit the role in 2000 - but has returned for brief stints, most recently in 2018.
Coronation Street proposal goes badly wrong as Carla Connor forced to call it off
It comes as the actor previously addressed 2024 being his worst year in the entertainment industry.
Speaking on The Nolan Show, Charlie said: "2024 is the most unsuccessful year I've had in 44 years.
"And there are a lot of issues to do with that.
"I've got lots of white hair, I'm 64 and there are less parts around.
"I work for GB News at the moment and I've got to renegotiate that contract next year and my wife Debbie runs a women's refuge.
"I'm in the living room with my shooting gear on because I'm a field sportsman and because I can't have the heat on all day and it's Baltic over here.
"Have you looked at your bills?
"You have lean times, I mean last year the heat was on all the time in the winter, this year it will not be."
Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and ITVX.

Midsomer Murders' Neil Dudgeon opens up on being replaced after 'cancellation' remark

The much-loved ITV series, Midsomer Murders, is back on our screens tonight with a rerun of an episode from series 23 titled The Debt of Lies Neil Dudgeon will be reprising his role as Detective John Barnaby, alongside Nick Hendrix, who plays Detective Sergeant Jamie Winter in Midsomer Murders. ‌ The plot for tonight's episode reads: "When the latest resident of a police retirement community is found dead, the tight-knit group regards a murder on their doorstep as both an affront and a challenge." ‌ As fans eagerly anticipate new episodes of Midsomer Murders, Neil recently addressed rumours about his departure from the show and revealed when the series would return to television, according to the Express. ‌ Neil joined the cast in 2011, replacing John Nettles, who played the original chief detective, Tom Barnaby. In a chat with Radio Times, he admitted that he would continue playing the detective until the show's bosses decided it was time for him to leave. On the topic of his future on the show, Neil said, "No, I assume that at some point I'll get the hook. You know, the hook will all come and sort of drag me off into the wings, and they won't want me anymore. "But they haven't done it yet, so I'm going to keep going to work until I get the hook." In a separate interview with Radio Times, Neil shared his initial concerns about taking over from John Nettles as the lead detective. ‌ He confessed, "It was hard at the beginning because John had done it for 14 years. "If they'd cancelled me after one series, that would have been embarrassing! It gets easier, but I try to keep it fresh. Even if I've gone through the script 50 times, I'll look at it again and have another thought. It's still extremely pleasant and I'm extremely grateful." ‌ The actor who plays John Barnaby also revealed some thrilling news about series 25, which will feature four new tales. Although he's unsure of when the episodes will be broadcast, Neil confirmed that filming kicked off in March this year. 'I don't know when it's next being broadcast, but we start filming again at the end of March for season 25, so it goes on," he declared. "We've had a year off this year. We didn't film this year, but last year. But we are filming again this year. We're filming four new stories from March this year." Midsomer Murders is back tonight at 8pm on ITV.

Coronation Street fans left open-mouthed by 'gross' sex scene as two iconic stars strip completely naked and romp on kitchen table - before being caught by horrified relative

Coronation Street fans were left open-mouthed by a sex scene which saw Steve and Cassie get down and dirty on a kitchen table. The eye-popping romp in the Dobbs household was witnessed by none other than Tyrone, who accidentally walked in on the tryst. Horrified at what he is witnessing, he blurts out: 'What are you playing at? There are rooms upstairs!' An embarrassed Steve then quickly covered his manhood with a teddy bear. He then tried - and failed - to change the subject by telling Tyrone he has got him some beer. The awkward encounter comes after Steve and Cassie's relationship has heated up in recent months. Corrie fans were quick to take to social media to comment on the X-rated scene, with many expressing their disgust. They wrote: 'Did not want to see that with Steve & Cassie #Corrie'; 'Cassie and Steve being naked was not something I wanted to see'; 'Oh Jesus Steve and Cassie my tea's just come back up thanks to you!'; 'Steve and Cassie are getting kind of gross now. They should book a room at Debbie's Hotel if they want to get busy.' Another simply joked about Steve's attempt to cover up: 'That poor teddy bear.' But not everyone who witnessed the sex scene was disgusted and others simply found it hilarious, writing: 'Great to see comedy in Corrie again.'; 'These two are so funny.' Corrie fans were quick to take to social media to comment on the X-rated scene, with many expressing their disgust The romp comes after it was revealed earlier this year that the long-running soap is pulling in record viewers in 2025. Alongside more hard-hitting (and in this case eye-popping) storylines, Corrie is now available to view on ITVX from 7am on the day of broadcast. This meant that soap fans could either choose to tune in early or watch their favourite soaps at a time that better suits them. The decision to make the change came after BBC soap EastEnders made a similar switch to iPlayer a few years ago. Following the change, which was also applied to Emmerdale, both shows have enjoyed a record 124 million streams in 2025's first quarter.
