Love Island: Where is the Villa located?
If we're being honest, the Love Island Villa is the unspoken main character of the whole series. It sees everything, from recouplings, to friendship fallouts, to secret antics taking place in the Hideaway. But where is the iconic Villa located?
Since the show began 10 years ago (yes it's been a whole decade of Love Island) it has always been filmed in the Spanish island of Mallorca (or Majorca depending on where you're from in the world) but the Villa itself has changed locations.
For the first two seasons it was filmed in the southern tip of the island in Santayni, however since season three the area of filming has moved, and here's everything to know about the new filming location of Love Island.
Since series three in 2017, Love Island has filmed in the rural Mallorcan area of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, on the east side of the island. However, in series eight in 2022 the show got a new Villa location.
The Villa they currently film in is called Sa Vinyassa which is incredibly rural, with the nearest big town being Artà or Manacor.
Each year it gets a major makeover, with this year's series having a new hammock overlay above the end of the pool - very boujie.
Ok so technically yes you can stay in the Villa. When the villa isn't being used for filming the ITV2 show it is available for holiday lets, however, it appears to be booked up for the next two years.
When not used for the show it can sleep up to 12 people across six bedrooms, with six bathrooms. It certainly makes a change to how the Islanders experience it with their one bedroom and one bathroom for at least 12 people on any given night.
The villa has two separate lounges, and a kitchen (not an outdoor one as seen on the show). It also has an outdoor shower and BBQ. Ok does anyone else robbed we don't get to see the Islanders have a BBQ night?

The reality TV gods have truly blessed us, as right now, not one, but two series of Love Island are currently airing, and honestly what a summer we have ahead of us. Earlier this week the 12th series of Love Island UK landed on ITV2 and last week Love Island USA began its seventh season on Peacock. Much of the show remains the same on both sides of the pond—a group of eligible singles are on the lookout for love spending eight weeks in a villa, where they have a summer of cracking on, "got a text" and deep meaningful chats around the firepit. However, there are some pretty major noticeable differences between both iconic shows. Curious to know more? These are the biggest difference's between Love Island UK and Love Island USA. UK Love Island UK is of course hosted by the icon that is Maya Jama. The TV presenter has been working on the show since series nine in 2023, after taking over from Laura Whitmore. She also hosts the show's spin-off Sunday night episode Aftersun. USA Meanwhile in the USA, former Vanderpump Rules cast member Ariana Madix presents the show. Ariana joined last season, following former host Sarah Hyland's exit from the show. While the hosts may be different, Iain Stirling does in fact do the voiceovers for both series. UK Since the show's inception 10 years ago with series one in 2015, Love Island has always been filmed on the Spanish island of Mallorca. USA Love Island USA has filmed in a variety of locations since it began. The show was then moved to be shown on Peacock and as part of this for the show's first season on the new network the series was filmed in California. And for the last three seasons, including the one currently airing, Love Island USA is filmed in Fiji. UK This season Love Island returns to its Mallorcan Villa, which is traditionally available as a holiday let, but is taken over by ITV every summer to create the legendary villa. In the villa there's one bedroom and one bathroom for all the Islanders. As well as the hideaway, outdoor kitchen and firepit. USA Like most things in the States, the Love Island USA villa is much bigger than the UK version. Unlike the UK one however, this villa is a set designed entirely for the show, rather than using an existing structure. They also have the addition of a 'speakeasy'. Unlike in the UK where the beds face each other, in the US all the beds are in a long line in the bedroom. UK Over the years there's been a lot of challenges in the UK version of the series, from the Twitter challenge, to the baby challenge and of course all those gross food tasks. Thankfully the food tasks are now gone and generally the producers have cut back on the game element of the series. Now, the biggest challenges are the "snog, marry, pie" and the snogging line up challenge. USA In the USA, the series does a variety of challenges and while they keep some the same such as "snog, marry, pie" there's still a lot of different ones. Earlier this season they did a blind-folded test with the new bombshells and last year they continued the tradition of doing the food challenges they've axed in the UK. UK Since the show began in 2015, Love Island UK has always given away a prize fund of £50,000 to the couple who are crowned the season's winners. For many of the seasons the winning couple would then be asked if they wanted to split or steal the money from their partner, however this part of the show has since been axed. USA Over on the other side of the pond, the winning couple walks away with a joint prize fund of $100,000.

UK agrees to check-free land border for Gibraltar but EU controls for flights
The UK has reached a deal with the EU over Gibraltar's border with Spain that will allow travellers to cross by land without checks. The agreement on a 'fluid border' clears the way to finalise a post-Brexit deal on the territory with the EU. But those flying into Gibraltar from the UK will face one check from Gibraltarian officials and another by the Spanish on behalf of the EU. An agreement for the future relationship between the EU and the UK in relation to Gibraltar is now a reality. It is a historic agreement. — Fabian Picardo (@FabianPicardo) June 11, 2025 This is because the land border will allow those arriving by air access to the European Schengen free travel area unchecked once they are in Gibraltar. The UK and Gibraltar insisted the changes would not affect the British overseas territory's sovereignty. The airport will operate under a model similar to London's St Pancras station, where passengers pass through both UK and French passport checks to board international trains. Goods and customs checks will also eventually be removed in both directions under the agreement. The move could also see airlines start to add flights to Gibraltar from countries other than the UK in a boost to tourism. Officials say a hard border would have been introduced under the EU's incoming exit and entry control system if no deal was reached, causing delays for some 15,000 people who cross the border every day as every individual passport was checked. Talks on rules governing the border have been ongoing since Britain left the European Union in 2020. Foreign Secretary David Lammy said the previous Tory government left behind a situation that 'put Gibraltar's economy and way of life under threat'. He said the agreement was a 'breakthrough' after years of uncertainty. He said: 'Alongside the government of Gibraltar, we have reached an agreement which protects British sovereignty, supports Gibraltar's economy and allows businesses to plan for the long-term once again. 'I thank the chief minister and his government for their tireless dedication throughout the negotiations. The UK's commitment to Gibraltar remains as solid as The Rock itself.' Spanish foreign minister Jose Albares said the deal marked 'a new beginning' in the relationship between the UK and Spain. He said that Spain 'will guarantee free movement of people and goods', adding that Gibraltar would now be linked to the Schengen Area with Spanish authorities controlling entry and exit. In a post on X, she said: 'It safeguards the integrity of Schengen and the single market, while ensuring stability, legal certainty and prosperity for the region.' Gibraltar's chief minister Fabian Picardo said the deal would 'protect future generations of British Gibraltarians and does not in any way affect our British sovereignty'. 'Now is the time to look beyond the arguments of the past and towards a time of renewed co-operation and understanding. Now the deal is done, it's time to finalise the treaty,' he said. On Wednesday evening, Sir Keir Starmer spoke with Mr Picardo and thanked him for 'his years of hard work, commitment, and leadership to reach an agreement'. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez also had a phone call with Sir Keir, and congratulated the British PM because 'his Government had succeeded where others had failed'. The Conservatives have said they will carefully review the UK's agreement with the EU on Gibraltar's border to see if it crosses any 'red lines' the party set out during its own negotiations when in government. Shadow foreign secretary Priti Patel said: 'Gibraltar is British, and given Labour's record of surrendering our territory and paying for the privilege, we will be reviewing carefully all the details of any agreement that is reached.' Mr Lammy held talks with Gibraltar's leaders, members of the opposition and the business community before leaving the British overseas territory to head to Brussels on Wednesday morning. Gibraltar was ceded to the UK by Spain in 1713 and the population is heavily in favour of remaining a British overseas territory. The last time it voted on a proposal to share sovereignty with Spain, in 2002, almost 99% of Gibraltarians rejected the move. Gibraltar also hosts an RAF base at its airport and an important naval facility.
