Where to take your friend in Dubai, no matter what their personality

Time Out Dubai4 days ago

Whether you've been here for a while or just finished up setting up home, there's nothing like the feeling of showing a visitor from home around Dubai.
Your mate is guaranteed to have a good time and there's so much to do that there really is something for everyone.
However, Dubai is not 'a one size fits all' city.
Your mate that loves getting up for a 10km at 6am is definitely looking for a different trip than your foodie pal that snaps a pick of every meal for the 'gram.
Luckily for you, we know all the best spots to plan your itinerary, no matter who is coming to stay.
Where to take your friend in Dubai if they are…

Go cycling in Hatta
The longest mountain trails in the UAE have now opened, so why not pack up your wheels and drive up for a morning pedal. Sharing the snaps to Instagram, she gushed in the caption: 'Having the best birthday in the sun ☀️ Thank you @amarehotels for making my birthday so special having the most beautiful stay.' But the celebrations didn't stop there, as on Monday, the blonde beauty took to social media once again to post more sizzling snaps from her sun-drenched getaway. In one snap, Danielle wowed in a white bikini top layered under a broderie anglaise shirt and matching shorts as she posed for the camera. In another, Danielle showed off her long, toned legs in tiny denim shorts and a white T-shirt with a bold red lip print as she headed out for the evening. The TV star spent her birthday soaking up the Ibiza sunshine, enjoying a poolside lounge, spa treatments and even squeezed in a gym session. Captioning her latest post, she wrote: 'I don't want to go home thank you for having me @amarehotels (love heart emoji).' The holiday snaps come after MailOnline revealed Danielle and Max Bowden, 30, had a 'secret offscreen romance' during their time on the BBC soap. Giving fans a glimpse of her lavish surroundings, Danielle showcased the hotel's luxurious amenities including outdoor pools, plush sun loungers, a gym, and a sprawling rooftop terrace The former co-stars, whose characters Lola Pearce and Ben Mitchell shared a child together dated for years but kept their relationship under wraps. Danielle left the long-running series in 2023 after Lola died from a brain tumour while Max exited the following year. It was reported in February that the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking mystery among EastEnders viewers over what had gone wrong between the ex-co-stars. MailOnline can reveal sources close to the couple, who featured together on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, fell out over the breakdown of their relationship. Following the end of her hard-hitting storyline on EastEnders, Danielle appeared on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, alongside Jungle King Sam Thompson as well as Celebrity MasterChef and Celebrity Hunted. A source said: 'Danielle and Max dated for a number of years. 'Of course, it was known among the EastEnders cast and everyone thought they were sweet together. 'Their relationship hasn't ended on the best terms, and they have even unfollowed each other on Instagram. In one snap, Danielle wowed in a white bikini top layered under a broderie anglaise shirt and matching shorts as she posed for the camera 'There are a lot of emotions after they were friends, colleagues, and romantically involved for such a long time.' Max's character Ben was written out of the show after he was jailed for credit card fraud in America, where he was researching treatment options for Lola's cancer. He starred on the programme from 2019 as Phil Mitchell's son Ben, who has been portrayed by six different actors over the years, and featured in storylines including male rape and bulimia. Following Lola's sad passing, which saw her leave behind her husband Jay Brown, played by Jamie Borthwick, and daughter Lexi, Max dedicated an Instagram post to Danielle. He said: 'Our girl. What you have achieved in the last twelve months is extraordinary. My whole EastEnders 'journey' started with you, and what a ride it's been. MailOnline has approached Danielle and Max for comment. 'Watching you work so closely everyday has been inspiring but hasn't quite topped being your friend. You've been there for all of us when we've needed a friend, and for that I can only thank you.' Speaking about her close relationship with Max to promote their episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, which aired on Valentine's Day, Danielle said: 'It's nice to do something fun. With EastEnders, our storylines are really heavy and really sad.' In response to Antiques Road Trip expert Ishy Khan, who said, 'You can tell there's love there', Danielle replied: 'Yeah, there is. He loves me really. He pretends like he don't, but he does.' Max added: 'We did some really dark and beautiful storylines together so we've spent a lot of time in each other's pockets, which is why we're so comfortable with each other.' Away from the drama of Albert Square, Max's love life has been well-documented. He was in a relationship with insurance executive Roisin Buckle for a year but the couple split in 2022 despite expecting their first baby together. Their son, Reginald Buckle, was born in September 2022, with the pair agreeing to co-parent. In the same year, Max also dated EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, who played Whitney Dean, but they went their separate ways after six months.

Often posting her workouts alongside singer-songwriter husband Justin Timberlake, the actor and mum-of-two says she prioritises a balanced and consistent routine to help her live a pain-free life and energetic life. That's perhaps why 'Jessica Biel workout' is a trending search term on Google right now, particularly after the 43-year-olds appearance in Prime Video hit, The Better Sister. In the series, Jessica's toned physique is referenced more than once, with viewers eager to learn more about how she structures her workouts. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Jessica, once climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with an extra 30 pounds on her back as she reached the 19,000 ft summit, raising awareness for access to clean water worldwide. What is Jessica Biel's workout routine? Yoga is at the core While Jessica tailors her fitness routine depending on her goals, she mostly practices yoga, doing 20-30 minute sessions most days. 'It makes me a better mom' she told Elle, praising the workout for helping her de-stress and stay grounded throughout life's chaos. Typically seeing herself as a 'non-class' type of person, Jessica also engages in yoga because of the community aspect of being part of a class. Pilates In her twenties, Jessica says she had a different attitude to fitness, admitting that how heavy she could bench and how fit she looked were her main focus. But now, in her 40s, her focus is on mobility. With two young sons, Silas, 10 and Phineas, 4, Jessica finds that her body is tested daily so working on lengthening and strengthening helps ensure she feels good within. Making fitness work for her In addition to daily yoga, Jessica takes part in a variety of exercises and welcomes her family's involvement (says no woman ever!).'It's so much more fun to do it with someone else' she says. Lighter weights A red carpet regular, Jessica swears by lighter weights ahead of huge glam events. Working with dumbbells varying from 4-6kg, the actress sticks to lighter weights and bodyweight exercises to keep her physique sculpted and not swollen. She explains that heavier training can cause muscle soreness and fluid retention from lactic acid buildup, which can impact how clothes fit.
