Half Million Israelis seek Psychological support since start of War

Saba Yemen4 days ago

Gaza – SABA:
Israeli media have revealed a sharp rise in requests for psychological assistance among Israeli occupation soldiers and their families—particularly reservists—as the war on Gaza continues.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, citing an official report, more than half a million Israeli citizens have sought psychological treatment since the outbreak of the war on Gaza last October. This marks a worrying indication of a growing mental health crisis within Israeli society.
The report states that 66,000 of those seeking help are active soldiers or their family members, many of whom are experiencing symptoms of psychological disorders such as depression, severe anxiety, and social withdrawal.
It also notes that the majority of these individuals suffer from sleep disturbances, panic attacks, and problems in social relationships—symptoms directly linked to war trauma, combat experiences, or the loss of relatives and friends.
This report reflects a darker side of the ongoing war—its effects not only playing out on military or political fronts but also deeply impacting the psychological well-being of Israeli society.

Civil Society Organizations Condemn Attack on Field Hospital in Al-Zawayda, Gaza

Gaza - Saba: The health sector of the Palestinian Civil Society Organizations Network condemned the attack carried out by a group of bandits and criminals on the American field hospital run by the International Medical Corps (IMC) at dawn today in the Al-Zawayda area in the central Gaza Strip. The attackers robbed the hospital's warehouses and stole large quantities of medical equipment and supplies. The network stated on Friday that "in a serious and unprecedented incident, a group of armed men stormed the field hospital's warehouses and stole large quantities of medical equipment, supplies, medicines, and nutritional supplements for malnourished children." It emphasized that this crime, which is contrary to the traditions and customs of our people, is taking place at a time when our Palestinian people are being subjected to Israeli genocide, including killing, starvation, and deprivation of the necessities of life. The network stated that most hospitals in the Gaza Strip are out of service due to the occupation's bombing and its prevention of the entry of medicines and medical supplies, at a time when the health and humanitarian conditions are deteriorating, threatening the lives of tens of thousands of patients and wounded. The network called on all international parties to pressure the occupation to open the crossings and allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Entisaf Organization Documents 600 Days of Zionist Genocide Crimes in Gaza

Sana'a – SABA: While the world lives in peace, the residents of the Gaza Strip have endured 600 days of suffering and hardship due to genocide crimes committed by the Zionist enemy, supported by the US and Europe. These crimes have resulted in catastrophic conditions and ongoing tragedies, accompanied by siege, starvation, and attempts at forced displacement amid disgraceful international silence and Arab abandonment. Continuing its aggression on Gaza, the Entisaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights has documented the crimes committed over these 600 days, reporting that the number of martyrs exceeded 54,000, with over 123,000 wounded, and more than 9,000 missing—either under the rubble or with an unknown fate. Over 60% of the martyrs are children and the elderly. According to a statement received by SABA News Agency, child martyrs alone numbered over 18,000, with 16,854 children reaching hospitals. The number of women martyrs exceeded 12,000, with 8,968 women reaching hospitals. The statement highlighted that 932 children under the age of one were killed, and 356 infants born during these 600 days were martyred. Additionally, there are over 42,000 orphaned children and 14,000 widows. It noted that over 2.4 million people in Gaza are being subjected to genocide, starvation, and ethnic cleansing. There are over 2 million displaced persons, with 242 deaths from lack of food, mostly children and elderly, and 58 malnutrition victims, including 53 children. 17 people died from cold exposure, 14 of whom were children. Entisaf also reported over 2,136 cases of infectious diseases due to forced displacement, 71,338 cases of hepatitis, and more than 300 miscarriages among pregnant women. Around 60,000 pregnant women are at risk, and 70,000 children are in danger of dying due to hunger and food shortages. The organization deemed the genocide in Gaza a serious violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits the targeting of civilians in any form. The civilian nature of the targeted areas clearly indicates the Zionist entity's intentional violation of humanitarian principles such as humanity, distinction, and proportionality—amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity. Entisaf held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for all crimes targeting civilians, hospitals, and ambulances, and also blamed the United Nations, the Security Council, and Muslim and Arab states for their shameful silence and failure to fulfill their obligations—encouraging further war crimes by the Zionist regime. The organization renewed its call on the international community, especially the International Court of Justice, to open investigations and hold those responsible accountable. It also called on human rights and humanitarian organizations, Arab and Islamic countries, and the free people of the world to assume their moral and humanitarian responsibility by supporting the Palestinian people, condemning these atrocities, and pressuring the UN, particularly the Security Council, to carry out their legal and moral duty to protect civilians and stop the Israeli aggression. The bleeding of Palestinian lives in Gaza and all of Palestine continues, enabled by international silence and disgraceful Arab inaction—emboldening the Zionist enemy to commit even more genocide, in total disregard of international laws and conventions. Over quarter million tons of waste piled up in Gaza city

Gaza – Saba: The Gaza Municipality warned on Wednesday of the worsening disaster of waste accumulation, which is exacerbating the health and environmental crisis in the city, creating a breeding ground for diseases, harmful insects, and rodents, and posing a serious threat to human health and life. In a statement, the municipality said the amount of waste piled up in the city has exceeded a quarter of a million tons. The municipality confirmed that it is making "tremendous efforts to mitigate and contain the disaster by collecting the accumulated waste in temporary dumps within the city center, conducting preliminary waste collection, and cleaning main streets." It explained that the "lack of resources, particularly waste collection vehicles and fuel, as well as the Israeli occupation's prevention of municipal crews from transferring waste to the landfill in Juhr al-Deek, east of the city, is aggravating the catastrophe."
