HOUSTON - A man has been identified as the victim of a deadly February shooting on Houston's North Loop Freeway. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information on any suspects.
What we know
The shooting happened on Wednesday, February 26, in the 3800 block of North Loop East near Highway 69. When police arrived, they said they saw a truck that appeared to have struck a highway.
According to Crime Stoppers, Jose Antonio Hurtado was hit by gunfire while he was driving his Chevrolet Silverado. He suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
While investigating that scene, detectives learned about another vehicle that was possibly related to the North Loop shooting.
That second vehicle was found in the 5100 block of Langley Road. Police say the driver suffered from at least one gunshot wound, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
What we don't know
No suspects have been identified.
The motive behind the shootings is not clear, and it hasn't been confirmed if they are connected.

Cops hunt creep who stalked 13-year-old girl, offered money for sex in Queens
Police released pictures Thursday of a man they say followed a 13-year-old girl down a Queens street and tried to pay her for sex — continuing to stalk the youngster even when she ran away — in the hope the public could help in apprehending the prowler. The man started following the girl on 97th St. between Northern Blvd. and 34th Ave. in Jackson Heights around 7:35 a.m. Wednesday and offered her money to perform a sex act, according to the police. Ceres playground damaged in fire, arson suspected
A play structure in Ceres' Independence Park is believed to have been intentionally lit on fire, according to authorities. Early Wednesday morning, first responders showed up to the Peltola Street neighborhood and found that the Independence Park playground had been burned. Stanislaus Regional FIU Some parts of the play structure were scorched and melted. The whole playground is now fenced off. No suspect information was available, but authorities are asking anyone who may have seen anything to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers or to contact the Ceres Police Department. Ceres officials didn't give any details about when the playground will be repaired.
