The agreement, inked by the MP State Electronics Development Corporation during CM Mohan Yadav's visit to Spain, focuses on investment, technical collaboration, and the promotion of sustainable digital infrastructure. Compared to traditional methods, the new technology delivers up to 45% energy savings, and up to 90% water conservation.
Submer will invest in construction, research and development, and technical areas in the state, while the MP State Electronics Development Corporation will finalise suitable land, basic infrastructure, policy support, and govt formalities for the project.
The purpose of this partnership is not only to enhance the state's technical capacity in the digital domain but also to encourage skill development, innovation, and local employment generation. Youth in the state will receive training and job opportunities in cutting-edge digital technologies. Submer will assist in setting next-generation standards for the design and establishment of data centers in Madhya Pradesh.
Acting as a technical advisor, Submer will provide global expertise in liquid cooling, energy optimization, and AI-based infrastructure development. This collaboration will establish Madhya Pradesh as a sustainable, AI-ready digital hub and bring long-term economic benefits to the state, said an official spokesperson at Bhopal.
Yadav, on the third day of his visit to Spain, met with Jaume Duch Guillot, minister for foreign affairs of the govt of Catalonia, in Barcelona.
During the meeting, Yadav proposed academic and research collaborations between premier institutions of Madhya Pradesh—such as IIT Indore and IISER Bhopal—and universities in Barcelona.
Yadav invited Catalonia's leading companies in the fields of food processing, textiles and renewable energy to invest in Madhya Pradesh and explore avenues for technological collaboration. Highlighting the state's new industrial policy, robust logistics network and dynamic youth workforce, he emphasised that this is the ideal time for European companies to consider Madhya Pradesh as a promising investment destination.
The chief minister discussed potential partnerships with organisations such as the FC Barcelona Foundation for programs focused on sports, leadership, and life skills. An agreement was also finalised to launch joint tourism campaigns in Europe to promote Madhya Pradesh's UNESCO world heritage sites—Sanchi, Khajuraho and Bhimbetka. Yadav also proposed strengthening cultural exchanges through performing arts, cinema, literature and museums.
