North Lanarkshire railway line blocked amid ongoing incident

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: 'Officers were called to the line near Wishaw Central railway station at around 12pm today (June 18) following reports of concern for welfare for a trespasser on the tracks. Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety.'

BTP issue update as crews swarm Glasgow train station
Emergency services rushed to Pollokshaws West station on Saturday, June 14, at around 11.30pm after reports of an "incident." British Transport Police (BTP) have now confirmed a man was found injured on the tracks and was taken to hospital for treatment. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. A later update from the train operator stated: "X1 Arays Bus will be on site at Glasgow Central for 12.45am, June 15. Man tries to kidnap teenage girl in broad daylight
Osman Moalem, 25, has been sentenced to 27 months in jail for attempting to kidnap a 19-year-old student outside Liverpool Lime Street station on 28 October 2024. Moalem approached the student, said something unintelligible, and then tried to drag her away, Liverpool Crown Court heard on Friday. An elderly couple intervened and threatened to call the police, but Moalem continued his attempt, the court was told. British Transport Police officers were alerted by station security and arrested Moalem minutes after the incident. Watch the video in full above.
