Jey Uso lost his World Heavyweight Championship to GUNTHER in the main event of Monday Night RAW, but his night was not over when the show went off the air. The former champion remained in the ring with his youngest son, Jace, to deliver a heartfelt address to the fans in Phoenix.
With his son by his side, Jey started with an apology before praising the man who had just defeated him.
"I really wanna say I'm sorry to my son. I'm sorry to everybody here," Uso said. "I fought my ass off. GUNTHER is that dude. One of the best athletes, one of the best pros I ever stepped foot in the ring with... I got hella respect for that man, so give it up for GUNTHER. But I'ma run it back."
Uso then thanked the fans for their support and the incredible atmosphere they created, speaking on how much their reactions mean to the performers.

"I'm very, very blessed, man. I stay humble in front of y'all. I love what I do, I don't ever take this for granted, all right? I love all of y'all," he continued. He also gave advice to the kids in the crowd, telling them to listen to their parents and appreciate them.

While Jey has promised to "run it back" and reclaim the gold, his path is unclear. The new champion, GUNTHER, is rumored to be the front-runner for Goldberg's retirement match at Saturday Night's Main Event in July.
He is also set to defend his title against the winner of the King of the Ring tournament at SummerSlam, leaving Uso to fight his way back into championship contention.
Uso reached the pinnacle of his singles career at WrestleMania 41 on April 19, 2025, when he defeated GUNTHER to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion for the first time.
The storyline leading to the match began when Uso won the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble match, earning him a guaranteed championship opportunity at WrestleMania. He chose to challenge the dominant World Heavyweight Champion, GUNTHER, who at that point had held the title for 258 days.
The feud became intensely personal after GUNTHER brutally attacked Jey's brother, Jimmy Uso, on an episode of RAW, with Jey being forced to watch.

WWE announced on Wednesday that WrestleMania 42 will be held in Las Vegas for the second straight year after it was previously revealed that New Orleans would be the host site. Reports about the premiere event of the WWE season leaving New Orleans surfaced a few weeks back. As speculation ran rampant on social media, WWE announced during its Money in the Bank premium live event that WrestleMania will be back at Allegiant Stadium. "Las Vegas helped to deliver the biggest WrestleMania of all time, shattering records and delivering an amazing week for fans around the world," WWE president Nick Khan said in a news release. "We look forward to once again working with the talented and effective teams at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Allegiant Stadium to bring WrestleMania back to the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World." Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) CEO Steve Hill, who talked to Fox News Digital earlier this year ahead of WrestleMania 41, touted the return of the event as well.
