(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Brad Pitt's high-octane racing drama maintains a steady pace into the second weekend 'F1: The Movie', led by Brad Pitt and centered on the world of Formula One racing, is maintaining a respectable hold at the Indian box office. As reported by the Sacnilk website, after completing a solid first week with Rs 35.5 crore, the film added another Rs 3.5 crore on its eighth day (Friday), taking the total India net collection to Rs 39 crore across all languages. The night slots neared 40%. That regional support has given 'F1' a decent boost in the South. Hindi screens show modest movement The Hindi version showed more modest results. Day 8 occupancy for Hindi 2D shows hovered at 11.26%, with the highest turnout coming during night shows (16.04%). The film's niche genre and star cast may have contributed to its limited appeal in smaller Hindi belts, but it remains a favorite among urban viewers. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Thị trường có dấu hiệu suy thoái không? If the current momentum holds, especially in metros and Southern states, 'F1' could accelerate its way to a strong second-week total. The next days will be crucial for the Brad Pitt starrer. ETimes review for the film reads, "Brad Pitt nails the role of a driver with laid-back arrogance, shining in every scene—whether he's strutting in with retro swagger or brushing off the media with monosyllabic replies. Don't miss the finale, where it's just him in the cockpit, the world around him fading into silence—what he calls 'flying. 'Metro… In Dino' box office collections day 1: Anurag Basu's film starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan and more off to a decent start, earns Rs 3.35 crore on Friday

The much-anticipated Anurag Basu film 'Metro… In Dino', starring Pankaj Tripathi , Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan , Fatima Ali Sheikh, and others, opened in cinemas on Friday, July 4, and has reported a respectable start. Metro…In Dino Movie Review According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film collected ₹3.35 crore on its opening day at the domestic box office. Evening shows added to day 1 numbers While the film had a modest turnout in morning and afternoon shows, it picked up a significant pace by evening and night. The Hindi-language drama recorded an overall occupancy of 17.99% on its first day, with night shows leading the surge at 31.09%. Evening shows contributed strongly as well, helping the film close the day with decent figures for a non-action, dialogue-driven ensemble film. The film seems to be connecting with urban audiences, especially those in the metro cities who are drawn to slice-of-life narratives. The cast, which includes Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma , and Ali Fazal, adds to its multi-generational appeal. Metro Cities Respond Well Mumbai and the National Capital Region showed healthy numbers, with occupancy crossing 19% in both areas. Pune performed slightly better, clocking in at 20%, while Bengaluru led the chart with an impressive 36% average occupancy across shows—especially strong during evening and night slots. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play this game for 3 minutes, if you own a mouse Undo The film played on over 1,200 screens nationwide, with the majority of footfall coming from multiplexes in Tier 1 cities. The music, composed by Pritam, has also played a key role in attracting footfall, especially with the title track already trending. What's next? The real test for 'Metro… In Dino' begins now. While the Day 1 number is solid for its genre, sustained growth over the weekend will determine its box office trajectory. With positive word-of-mouth and minimal competition this week, the film stands a fair chance to grow. ETimes review for the film reads, "Despite being largely pleasant, some tracks don't quite add up, feel uneven and don't know where to end. After an engaging build up, the second half feels a tad stretched. You also wish the story scratched the surface a little more, especially for Konkona-Neena Gupta track, where the actors have the potential and gravitas to dig deeper. There has been a scarcity of love stories in Bollywood and Metro In Dino, elevated by some fine performances, fills that gap perfectly. It is a breezy, intimate watch tailor-made for a rainy day."
