CM Yogi to preside over Ram Darbar pran pratishtha in Ayodhya today
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will preside over the pran pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar on the first floor of the Ram Mandir on Thursday, coinciding with his 53rd birthday. The ceremony will mark the culmination of a three-day religious ritual led by Vedic scholars and priests under the supervision of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
At 11 am, the rituals will commence with Vedic chanting and havan. A key moment of the event will be the ceremonial 'uncovering of the eyes' of Lord Ram and Sita's idols by the chief minister, symbolising the completion of the pran pratishtha (consecration) process, the trust said.
The ceremony comes amid rapid transformation in Ayodhya, where development projects worth more than ₹32,000 crore have been executed in the last eight years. Key landmarks like the upgraded Ram Katha Park, a revitalised Saryu riverfront, and new facilities at temple sites have become symbols of the city's growth.
Special aartis and cultural programs will take place on the banks of the Saryu River to mark Saryu Trayodashi Janmotsav. The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the event.
Shashikant Maharaj, president of Anjani Seva Sansthan, said, 'Raja Ram will be ceremonially reinstalled. Just as Guru Vashishtha did during Treta Yuga, Yogi ji will now perform the tilak. He has worked relentlessly to restore Ayodhya's lost glory.' 'Eight years ago, people were afraid to walk from Naya Ghat to Guptar Ghat after dark. Today, places like Aarti Ghat are hubs of devotion and celebration.'
He added that the annual Deepotsav became a medium to signal Lord Ram's return to Ayodhya: 'Through Deepotsav, he conveyed to the world that Raja Ram is returning to Ayodhya. Now, that dream has come true.'

Gujarat diamond trader donates jewellery worth crores to Ayodhya Ram Temple
A Gujarat diamond merchant has donated a lavish assortment of ornaments, including 11 crowns and a golden bow and arrow, to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya. According to Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) officials, the contribution includes 11 diamond-studded crowns, 30 kilograms of silver, 300 grams of gold, and rubies, along with a host of other ornate items. Dinesh Newadia, national treasurer of the VHP, revealed that the donation also features necklaces, earrings, ornamental forehead tilaks, seven bows (four large, three small) representing the brothers of the Ramayana, four quivers, three maces, and ceremonial fly whisks. "Mukesh Patel has donated 11 crowns made of diamonds, 30 kilograms of silver, 300 grams of gold, and rubies," Newadia claimed. The items were flown to Ayodhya in a special chartered aircraft. Mukesh Patel, who owns the Surat-based jewellery firm Green Lab, is well-known in the diamond trade and has previously supported religious and cultural initiatives. This latest donation, however, is among the most significant individual contributions made toward the ornamentation of the Ram Temple. The announcement comes just a day after a major milestone at the temple - the consecration of 'Raja Ram', or Lord Rama in his royal form. The ceremony included the installation of idols in eight newly constructed temples within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex and was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This was the second major consecration ceremony at the site, following the January 22, 2024 installation of Ram Lalla, which was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The consecration ceremony has drawn large crowds to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Champat Rai, Secretary of the Ram temple trust, said that on Thursday, the temple completed the consecration ceremony of seven idols. He stated that the idols installed on the first floor above the sanctum sanctorum include Ram Darbar in the middle, a Shivalinga in the north eastern corner, a Ganapati idol in the southeastern corner, Hanumana idol in the middle of the southern side, Surya in the south western corner, Bhagwati in the north western corner, and Annapurna Mata in the middle of the northern side.

AYODHYA : CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that Ayodhya has transitioned into a global symbol of 'Atithi Devo Bhava'. "It was a city where once Ram devotees faced bullets but today they are being welcomed with flowers," he said at a public event in Ram Katha Park. Highlighting the significance of Pran Pratishtha ceremony held in Ayodhya on Thursday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said the grand temple of Ram Lalla is a powerful testament to the enduring strength of Sanatan Dharma. "After a wait of 500 years, the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla was performed with great devotion by PM Modi on Jan 22, 2024. Today, the consecration of the divine idols in the Ram Darbar and Ram Mandir has also been accomplished," he said. 'Blessings of revered seers guiding New India' Mentioning Ayodhya's spiritual and cultural resurgence over the past 10 years, Yogi said it was under PM Modi's leadership that the vision of Viksit Bharat, rooted in Sanatan Dharma, was becoming a reality, with Ayodhya reclaiming the divine aura of the Treta Yuga. The CM also attended the 87th birthday celebrations of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das at Mani Ram Das Cantonment. The occasion also coincided with Yogi's birthday on Thursday. Calling it a privilege to be part of the celebrations, the CM said it was the divine spiritual practices and blessings of revered seers that were guiding the transformative journey of New India. He also highlighted the legacy of the Mani Ram Das Cantonment, saying that it boasted over 300 years of intense spiritual practice. 'From the 18th to the 21st century, this sacred site has been a centre of unwavering devotion. Legend says that Mata Janaki once appeared in a divine vision to a saint of this tradition, blessing and strengthening its spiritual lineage," he said, crediting Mahant Nritya Gopal Das' leadership for the success of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Mentioning the redevelopment of pilgrimage centres like Kashi Vishwanath, Mahakaal, Kedarpuri, and Somnath, Yogi said these temples served as the spiritual pillars of a new, empowered India, which was emerging from the roots of Sanatan traditions. Describing the changes being implemented in Ayodhya, Yogi highlighted the efforts to develop it as the country's first solar city. "The once stagnant waters at Ram Ki Paidi now flow clean and pure, capable of accommodating over 5 lakh devotees for a holy dip. A new stretch of ghats, from Naya Ghat to Guptar Ghat, has been developed to enhance the pilgrim experience," the CM said. Highlighting the significance of Ganga Dussehra and World Environment Day celebrated on Thursday, the CM said it had deep spiritual and environmental significance. "It is on this auspicious day, through the penance of Maharaj Bhagirath, that the river Ganga descended to Earth. Ma Ganga is a symbol of devotion and liberation, she is the lifeline of our spiritual heritage," he said. Among other projects to develop Ayodhya as a global spiritual and cultural hub, the CM highlighted an international airport in the name of Maharishi Valmiki, a community kitchen named after Mata Shabari, a pilgrim guest house named in honour of Nishadraj, and temples dedicated to Maharishi Vashishtha, Vishwamitra, and Tulsidas. Referring to the installation of a statue of the Vulture King Jatayu in the temple complex, the CM said that vultures were a species critical to ecological balance but were facing extinction due to food scarcity and environmental degradation. "They serve a vital role in nature and are beneficial to humanity. Jatayu, who valiantly fought Ravan during the abduction of Mata Sita, is a symbol of ultimate sacrifice and courage. According to officials in the chief minister's office, it was just a 'coincidence' that the 'muhurat' for the Pran Pratishtha fell on Adityanath's birthday. The idols of Lord Ram's brothers—Bharat, Lakshman, and Shatrughna—as well as his devotee Hanuman, complete the Darbar. The chief minister also visited several other newly constructed temples within the main complex and took part in consecration ceremonies there. Behind-the-scenes story of the project More temples and idols Apart from the Ram Darbar, the chief minister participated in the Pran Pratishtha of six additional temples within the Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex. Temple trust functionaries said that based on Vastu Shastra, Lord Shiva's temple has been built in the northeast (Ishan) corner of the complex, Lord Ganesha's temple in the southeast (Agni) corner, Lord Hanuman's temple midway along the southern side, Lord Surya's temple in the southwest (Nairitya) corner, Goddess Bhagwati's temple in the northwest (Vayavya) corner, and Goddess Annapurna's temple in the middle of the northern side. The idols consecrated in the temple are made of pristine white marble. The chief minister also proposed developing theme-based gardens in Ayodhya dedicated to revered figures such as Maa Janaki, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughna, Hanuman, Sugriva, Jambavan, Mata Shabari, and Nishad Raj. Later, speaking at a public event in Ram Katha Park, Adityanath said Ayodhya's reputation has now been established as a global symbol of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' — a city that treats its guests as gods. Ram devotees faced 'bullets and lathi charges here in the past, but today, they are welcomed with showers of flower petals and served pure RO water.' Speaking on Ayodhya's transformation, Adityanath said the city, once plagued by erratic power supply, water shortages, and cleanliness issues, has now emerged as a clean and beautiful spiritual destination. He also spoke about the greatly increased tourist inflow since the temple's consecration last year. 'Earlier, the number of devotees barely reached a few lakhs, but Ayodhya welcomed more than 16 crore pilgrims last year alone — a testament to the Municipal Corporation's improved management and facilities.' He described Prime Minister Modi as the 'Bhagirath of modern India,' crediting him with the success of the Namami Gange campaign. 'Before 2014, the Ganga was severely polluted due to the unplanned and unscientific activities of previous governments. But through the Namami Gange programme, the river has regained its purity and uninterrupted flow. Over 66 crore devotees witnessed this during the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj,' he said.
