OKCPD releases new details after NW Classen student arrested
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Police have released new details about an incident at NW Classen High School that led to the arrest of a student last week.
OKCPD says the student brought a loaded 9mm Beretta to the school on the morning of January 29 and bypassed scanners by entering the school through the gym.

The student went to his morning classes and reportedly showed the gun to several students during the 3rd hour. Police said the student also loaded a live round into the gun while in his classroom.
Police were then alerted, arrived at the school, and arrested the student.
Body cam video shared with News 4 shows an officer finding a magazine inside of a chip bag in the classroom.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is warning residents about a recent scam regarding fake arrest warrants and posting preemptive bail at virtual currency kiosks. According to the A.G.'s Office, the scam appeared in Tulsa where a scammer claimed to be from the federal public defender's office and sent fake arrest warrants to multiple senior citizens. They have also claimed to be law enforcement officers. The fraudulent warrants have been sent through email and text messages. LOCAL NEWS: Service Oklahoma warns residents of text scam 'Oklahomans need to stay vigilant protecting themselves from unscrupulous thieves out to steal money and exploit personal information,' Drummond said. 'Consumers should always be skeptical of unsolicited communication and are encouraged to report scam attempts to law enforcement.' Drummond is reminding consumers: Arrest warrants are not served by phone, email or mail. Government agencies do not send unsolicited requests for personal information or demand money. Government agencies do not accept payment of fines, court costs or bonds through cryptocurrency. Requests to utilize cryptocurrency kiosks or drop off large amount of currency are red flags. Oklahoma City Police looking for more information in deadly 2021 shooting
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City Police say they're looking for more information in a deadly shooting from 2021. According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 6200 block of Douglas Ave. around midnight on June 11, 2021. Upon arrival, they found three victims who had been shot. One victim, Larry McDowell, was pronounced dead at the scene. LOCAL NEWS: Man calls 911 after he finds a body on the side of the road Officials say the victims were at an outdoor gathering with the shooting happened. Someone fired shots into the crowd. Tecumseh man arrested on child pornography charges
TECUMSEH, Okla. (KFOR) – According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, a Tecumseh man has been arrested on multiple child pornography charges. Officials say on April 8, 2025, the Bixby Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip regarding images of child sexual abuse material. LOCAL NEWS: Update: Temporary stay granted to Oklahoma death row inmate John Hanson The investigation led authorities to 34-year-old Zachary Lippoldt. On May 21, 2025, the Tecumseh Police Department and Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at his home in Tecumseh. Lippoldt later admitted to downloading child sexual abuse material. Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, he was arrested and booked into the Pottawatomie County Jail on a $200,000 bond. Lippoldt is facing 15 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material and one count of Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. The investigation is still ongoing.
