Report: Free agent WR DJ Chark visits with Bears
He spent the past three seasons with three different teams after playing his first four campaigns in Jacksonville.
Chark was a second-round pick by the Jaguars in 2018 and made the Pro Bowl with a 1,008-yard season in 2019.
He caught just four passes for 31 yards and one touchdown in seven games with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024.
With NFL teams reporting for training camp this week, Chark said he is still weighing his options.
"It depends," he said, per NFL Network. "It will have to be something that makes sense, from a family perspective and also from an X's and O's perspective. Getting up and going to any team just for the excitement -- I'll always love the game, but at this point, putting myself and my family in a great position is what's ideal for me."
Chark has 216 catches for 3,100 yards and 24 TDs in 76 games (51 starts) for the Jaguars (2018-21), Detroit Lions (2022), Carolina Panthers (2023) and Chargers.

Vikings' Dallas Turner dubbed 'must-watch' during Vikings training camp
EDGE defender Dallas Turner didn't have the type of rookie season most expected when the Minnesota Vikings traded up to select him with the 17th pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. He registered three snaps on 310 defensive snaps, playing a rotational role most of the season. That wasn't all Turner's fault. Starters Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel earned Pro Bowl nods after combining for 23.5 sacks. Turner will be counted on to produce in 2025, but will that come at the expense of pulling Greenard and Van Ginkel off the field? How the Vikings line Turner up is one of the top priorities for Alec Lewis to watch for this training camp, he wrote in The Athletic. Turner needs more playing time for multiple reasons. It's not just that the Vikings traded a boatload of draft capital to acquire him in 2024; it's also that Van Ginkel and Jonathan Greenard aren't likely to be able to sustain the workload they contributed last year. Turner's explosiveness should provide Flores a new card to pull to confound quarterbacks. Physically, Turner can do just about everything. Flores' willingness to move him around the field in training camp and beyond will be telling. Greenard and Van Ginkel terrorized quarterbacks in 2024, but the Vikings had to manufacture ways to get the rest of the defense involved. Turner could provide a needed spark off the EDGE if he substitutes in for one of them. However, being aligned over guards or centers and blitzing, a la Micah Parsons, could add a new element to the defense without sacrificing Greenard and Van Ginkel. The Vikings will give Turner every opportunity to play in 2025 by lining him up at various positions. Let's see if he's up to the task.

Tyreek Hill rebuilding relationships with Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins
Tyreek Hill has been putting in the work to repair his relationships within the Miami Dolphins' building. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa told reporters Wednesday that his relationship with Hill is a "work in progress." Hill made headlines at the end of the 2024 season when he declared "I'm out" following the season finale. "I'm out, bruh," Hill said after the loss to the Jets. "It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career." Even after he explained later that it was an outburst of frustration, the comment still raised questions about his future in Miami. Evidently, it also fractured some of his relationships with Dolphins teammates. "When you say something like that you don't just come back with 'My bad,'" Tagovailoa said. "You gotta work that relationship up. He is working on himself." However, "work needs to be done to show what he says." Hill's Week 18 outburst came at the tail-end of a disappointing follow-up season to his excellent outing in 2023. After leading the league in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) two years ago, the Dolphins' star wideout finished the 2024 season with 959 receiving yards and a career-low six touchdowns. It was the first year of Hill's career without a Pro Bowl nod and his first season in Miami without All-Pro recognition. Other issues likely contributed to a drop in production. There was the wrist injury Hill suffered in the preseason that he attempted to gut out without surgery, and there were the various injuries to Tagovailoa, resulting in six starts by other quarterbacks. The Dolphins also missed the playoffs for the first time since Hill's arrival in Miami and had their first losing season since 2019. "I've been winning my whole life," Hill said in a January video game livestream. "Y'all just want me to say, 'Oh well, get 'em next year?' Nah, (expletive) that. We've got to come back." As Dolphins training camp begins, Hill remains on the roster and projects to be Tagovailoa's lead receiver, provided he's rebuilt that trust.

Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon placed on non-football injury list

Cox/UPI | License Photo July 23 (UPI) -- The Houston Texans placed Joe Mixon on the non-football injury (NFI) list, the team announced Wednesday. Mixon ranked ninth in rushing yards per game in 2024. The Texans also placed running backs Dameon Pierce and J.J. Taylor and wide receiver Tank Dell, among eight others, on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. They placed cornerback Alijah Huzzie on the non-football injury list alongside Mixon. The Texans signed cornerback Arthur Maulet and waived cornerback Keydrain Calligan in corresponding transactions. Mixon, 28, totaled 1,016 rushing yards and 11 scores on 245 carries and 309 yards and a score on 36 catches over 14 starts last season. He missed three games due to an ankle injury. He also missed 2025 organized team activities and minicamp due to an ankle issue. The two-time Pro Bowl selection eclipsed 1,200 yards from scrimmage six of his last seven seasons. Mixon signed a three-year, $25.5 million contract with the Texans last off-season. He is set to earn a base salary of about $7 million in 2025. Nick Chubb and Woody Marks are among the other running backs on the Texans roster. Texans players reported for training camp Tuesday at Houston Methodist Training Center. They will take on the Minnesota Vikings in their preseason opener Aug. 9 in Minneapolis.
