Heartless sicko fires pellet gun at woman holding 2-month-old baby girl in NYC: cops
A heartless sicko fired a pellet gun at a woman holding a baby girl on Staten Island, police said.
The 42-year-old victim was holding a 2-month-old infant outside of 127 Jerome Avenue in Arrochar just after 7 p.m. Friday when the creep fired the weapon from the passenger's seat of a silver sedan, striking the woman in the back, cops said.
The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. The NYPD wasn't able to say if the baby was hurt.
The perp – who was seen on surveillance footage wearing a bright orange jacket – was last seen headed westbound on Evergreen Avenue, cops said.

Paraguay president's X account likely hacked in Bitcoin scheme
ASUNCION (Reuters) -Paraguay's government on Monday said that President Santiago Pena's X account had likely been hacked after the leader appeared to promote trading of cryptocurrency Bitcoin. "The president's official X account has presented irregular activity which suggests possible unauthorized entry," the government said in a statement. A post on Pena's account in English, with a Spanish-language statement purporting to be from the government, had declared that the Latin American country had made Bitcoin legal tender and that it would roll out a $5 million Bitcoin-backed reserve fund. The government asked citizens to ignore posts from the account until official confirmation was made available. Paraguay's national cybersecurity team was working with X to investigate the situation, the government added. X did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Family of 5 robbed at gunpoint in Queens home: sources
WHITESTONE, Queens (PIX11) — A family of five was robbed at gunpoint in their Queens home Monday morning, according to police and sources. The armed suspects, one dressed in an Amazon delivery vest, allegedly barged into the house near 152nd Street and 12th Avenue in Whitestone at around 9:05 a.m., police and sources said. More Local News Authorities said the home's front door was left unlocked after one of the kids left for school Monday morning. The men allegedly forced the parents, a 42-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, and their three other kids into the basement and ransacked the house before leaving with an unknown amount of cash and jewelry, according to police and sources. The suspect then fled in the couple's car, which was later found unoccupied near 154th Street and 14th Avenue, according to the NYPD. There were no injuries. There have been no arrests. Police are searching for two men between 40 and 50 years old. One was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, and the other in an Amazon delivery vest. The investigation is ongoing.
