She is definitely not ready for her close-up. A stylish woman in heels and a leather jacket used scissors to stab an amateur photographer who accidently captured an image of her as he took photos in the West Village, cops said. The sunglasses and dress-wearing brunette flew into a Britney Spears-level paparazzi rage on Varick Street near West Houston Street around 4:20 p.m. May 5 as the 36-year-old victim was out shooting images for social media. First, she slugged him on his shoulder — before flashing a pair of scissors and stabbing him in the back, police said. 3 The woman allegedly flew into a rage when she realized she was captured in the 36-year-old photographer's snaps, cops said. NYPD The woman then stormed off, heading south on Varick Street and entering the Houston Street subway station, cops said. The victim refused medical attention for minor injuries at the scene. The NYPD on Wednesday night released surveillance photos and video of the suspect, seen wearing a black dress, leather jacket and heels. NYC woman, 32, lucky to be alive after stranger tries to shoot her from behind, missing her by ‘a centimeter'
A 32-year-old Bronx woman is lucky to be alive after a stranger randomly fired a single round at the back of her head in broad daylight — miraculously missing her by 'a centimeter' as she turned her head away, cops said. The victim was walking home around 9 a.m. Friday when the unidentified hooded gunman approached her from behind on a University Heights street and brazenly pointed the weapon without saying a word, authorities said. The maniac then pulled the trigger – with a single slug just missing the victim as she moved her head out of its path, police said. A single round missed the victim — who the gunman randomly targeted — by just 'a centimeter,' cops said. The woman was not shot, but suffered injuries when she fell to the ground and hit her head, cops said. Police are investigating the shooting, which took place on West 183rd Street near Davidson Avenue, as an attempted murder. Authorities said the victim did not know the shooter. Cops on Wednesday released a photo of the maniac wearing all black, with the hood of his jacket pulled up over his head as he walked on the sidewalk. He has a dark complexion, stands about 6 feet tall and appears to weigh about 200 pounds, police said. A heartless sicko fired a pellet gun at a woman holding a baby girl on Staten Island, police said. The 42-year-old victim was holding a 2-month-old infant outside of 127 Jerome Avenue in Arrochar just after 7 p.m. Friday when the creep fired the weapon from the passenger's seat of a silver sedan, striking the woman in the back, cops said. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. The NYPD wasn't able to say if the baby was hurt. The perp – who was seen on surveillance footage wearing a bright orange jacket – was last seen headed westbound on Evergreen Avenue, cops said. A crew of hot-headed teens attacked a retired NYPD lieutenant who confronted them for harassing a cab driver on the Upper East Side this week, cops and sources said. The 65-year-old retiree spotted the group of at least five youngsters ganging up on the cabbie just after 8 p.m. Tuesday at Park Avenue and East 84th Street and stepped in to stop them, according to law-enforcement sources. But as soon as the former cop intervened, the baby-faced ruffians turned on him – bashing him with a backpack and punching him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, authorities and sources said. Subway rider stabbed in Bronx; NYPD seek suspect
NEW YORK - The NYPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in connection with a stabbing on a Bronx subway train Friday morning. What we know Police say a 21-year-old man was stabbed multiple times while riding a southbound 5 train around 7:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18. The incident occurred near the East 219th Street subway station, within the jurisdiction of the 47th Precinct and Transit District 12. According to the NYPD, an unidentified man approached the victim, displayed a knife, and, seemingly unprovoked, stabbed him several times in the torso. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was listed in stable condition. What we don't know Authorities have not said whether the attack was targeted or random, and no motive has been disclosed. It is also unclear whether the victim and suspect knew each other prior to the incident. So far, no arrests have been made. The suspect is described as a man with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black vest, a blue sweatshirt, gray pants, and multi-colored sneakers. What's next The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.
