A.SREENIVASA REDDY (ABU DHABI)Alpha Data shares started trading on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Tuesday following its initial public offering (IPO) under the ticker ALPHADATA.A bell-ringing ceremony was held on the trading floor of ADX, marking the debut of Alpha Data's shares.Alpha Data shares, which were listed at Dh1.50, were trading at Dh1.58, nearly 5.5% up, at 12.10 pm on Tuesday. A total of 400 million shares were made available in the IPO, representing 40% of the company's ownership. The IPO raised a total of Dh600 million (approximately $163 million), implying a market capitalisation at listing of Dh1.5 billion (approximately $408 million). The IPO was significantly oversubscribed highlighting both the interest and confidence in Alpha Data as a business.Founder and CEO of Alpha Data, Fayez Ibbini, said, 'Today marks a historic milestone for Alpha Data as we take our place as a listed company on ADX. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our team, the trust of our customers, and the strength of our vision over the last 40 years. As a UAE homegrown company, we are grateful to have benefitted from the business environment that the visionary leaders have established and their forward-looking approach."For the financial year ending December 31, 2025, Alpha Data intends to distribute a dividend of Dh130 million, payable in two equal instalments in October 2025 and April 2026.
Thereafter, the group expects to distribute dividends on a semi-annual basis (in April and October of each year), with a minimum payout of 80% of the net profit generated for the relevant financial period.

Armenia Stock Exchange joins 'Tabadul' platform

ABU DHABI - Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) announced that the Armenia Stock Exchange (AMX) has officially gone live on the Tabadul platform, becoming the sixth market to join the region's first-of-its-kind mutual market access platform. Tabadul was launched by ADX in July 2022 as the region's first digital exchange operating on a mutual market access model. The platform creates a digital network of exchanges that allows investors to trade securities on international markets with remote access for brokerage firms partnering with the exchanges. Tabadul allows investors to access shares of companies in various sectors including banking, finance, energy and telecommunications. The first transaction via Tabadul between market participants from Armenia (Converse Bank, MetaX Investment Company) and Abu Dhabi (Al Ramz Capital)was successfully executed on 30th May. Armenian investors now have direct access to securities listed on ADX, enabling two-way trading and strengthening strategic ties between the markets. The addition of AMX follows the launch of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on Tabadul in February 2025 and builds on the momentum of the recently signed agreement with the Iraqi Stock Exchange (ISX), which will integrate ISX into the platform in due course. To date, nine stock exchanges have signed agreements with Tabadul, with six having gone live. On this occasion, Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of ADX, said, 'We are pleased to welcome the Armenia Stock Exchange to the Tabadul platform. This expansion reflects our commitment to fostering capital market connectivity, enhancing regional liquidity, and supporting the UAE's vision for economic diversification and sustainable development. Tabadul offers access to over 490 listed companies and a combined investor base of more than 7.6 million. In 2024, trading value on Tabadul surged to approximately USD 200 million, a 317% year-on-year increase.' Tabadul enables seamless cross-exchange trading with settlement in local currencies, eliminating the need for dual listings or custodianship. Currently, the platform connects the financial markets of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Muscat, Astana, Kazakhstan, and now Armenia. The onboarding of AMX onto the Tabadul platform underscores ADX's ongoing efforts to deepen regional capital market integration and foster stronger financial cooperation. By enabling mutual market access, ADX is expanding investment opportunities, supporting innovation, and reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a dynamic and globally connected financial hub. The share price remained consistently above the offer price throughout the week, underscoring the resilience of both the stock and the broader REIT is the GCC's first listed pure-play residential leasing-focused real estate investment trust, and the largest listed REIT in the region, managing 35,700 residential units. The initial public offering raised Dh2.145 billion and was oversubscribed 26 Residential REIT debuted on the DFM with a market capitalisation of Dh14.3 billion. By the close of trading on Tuesday, its market cap had risen to Dh16.1 billion — a Dh2 billion increase in shareholder value within a the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, the benchmark FADGI index rose 0.461%, snapping a two-day losing streak. The financial sector led the gains, with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank climbing 2.6% and First Abu Dhabi Bank advancing 1.53%. Meanwhile, the DFM General Index (DFMGI) gained 0.677%, marking a second straight session of gains. Market sentiment in Dubai remains upbeat despite ongoing global market volatility.

About Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) was established on November 15, 2000, by Local Law No. (3) Of 2000, the provisions of which vest the market with a legal entity of autonomous status, independent finance and management.
