'The free ferry service offered on these three important dates reflects SPPP's commitment as the Port Authority and Regulatory Body, along with Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) as the port operator, in encouraging Malaysians to use public transport when commemorating key national events.

EC allocates RM100,000 to SMKA Segamat under MADANI school programme
PUTRAJAYA: The Election Commission (EC) has disbursed RM100,000 to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SMKA) Segamat as part of the 2025 MADANI Adopted School programme. The initiative, launched nationally by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on June 20, aims to elevate education quality and inclusivity. EC secretary Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus stated that the funding will modernise learning facilities and support academic and personal growth. 'This programme strengthens our commitment to fostering a competitive, knowledgeable, and ethical future generation,' he said. The allocation follows discussions in May between the school, Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), and EC, focusing on infrastructure, ICT, and teacher-student development. Approved initiatives include curriculum enhancements for SPM and STPM students, STEM programmes (RM31,000), leadership camps (RM12,000), teacher training (RM5,000), and ICT upgrades like interactive whiteboards and tablets (RM52,000). PM Anwar receives 13MP document for tabling in Parliament
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today officially received the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) document, which he will table in the Dewan Rakyat tomorrow. The handover marks the completion of the preparation phase for the country's five-year development plan covering 2026 to 2030. Anwar, who also serves as Finance Minister, stated that the 13MP was designed as a comprehensive development plan focused on equitable growth for all Malaysians. 'Its preparation involved extensive engagement sessions with stakeholders across sectors, backgrounds, and regions, including state governments, to ensure the people's voices shape national planning,' he said in a Facebook post. The Prime Minister added that the MADANI Government welcomes constructive debate and proposals from MPs to refine the policies outlined in the plan.
