In a shocking and tragic incident, actor

In a long post, Tristan writes, "My husband Jonathan Joss and I were involved in a shooting while checking the mail at the site of our former home. That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done.
Throughout that time we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship.
Much of the harassment was openly homophobic.
When we returned to the site to check our mail we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw.
While we were doing this a man approached us. He started yelling violent homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired.
Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life."
Homophobia comes from misunderstanding, fear of the unfamiliar, or beliefs against people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or part of the LGBTQ+ community.. A lot of it is learned—people pick it up from their surroundings, or what they've been taught growing up.

The thing is, who someone loves or how they identify doesn't hurt anyone, yet homophobic attitudes can cause real damage. It can lead to bullying, anxiety, depression, and even push people to hide their true selves out of fear.
Who is Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja , the suspect arrested?
As per reports, the Texas Police has arrested Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja for murdering the Parks and Recreation actor Jonathan Joss. "Joss' home burned down in February, but he returned Sunday to collect a victim's fire fund check.
While there, he found the skeleton of one of his dogs killed in the fire, and it sent him into a rage -- he started yelling at anyone he saw in the area," neighbours have told TMZ.
Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja lives two doors down. After Jonathan and Ceja had a spat, the latter drove over and shot Jonathan.
Jonathan's last post on social media
Just few hours before being shot dead by a neighbour, Jonathan had posted about getting a ride. "Our ride will arrive in a few hours thank you everyone we are grabbing some food and feeling thankful for the support," he posted on social media.

She paid tribute to her late son on Facebook and shared several photos of Weston, some with her in them. She wrote, "This is so hard to write. My beautiful son, Weston has passed away. He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just dont understand." Grieving the loss of her son, she added, 'Oh my baby is gone and I don't know what to do with myself. He was so perfect. This is really my worst nightmare come true. How do you go on in life after losing a child? I'm in disbelief, this cannot be happening. I don't want it to be real.
