BYOMA De-Puff and Brighten Eye Gel gives you a lot of product for the price
Credit: Supplied
BYOMA De-Puff and Brighten Eye Gel, £13 for 20ml, spacenk.com/uk: The gel consistency of this eye cream takes the heat out of my irritated eyes without the need for a metal applicator.
It's the thickest of the three, and takes a bit longer to sink in, but I don't mind that as it feels super-hydrating and soothing, thanks to the combination of ceramides, glycerin and hyaluronic acid – and it hasn't caused any milia which can sometimes happen if I use overly rich products.
For the price, you're getting a lot of product, and I can imagine it would take the best part of a year to get through the bottle, which is incredible value for money.

Sculpted By Aimee Brighten Up Energising Eye Cream is my go-to
Credit: Supplied
Sculpted By Aimee Brighten Up Energising Eye Cream, £26 for 10ml, sculptedbyaimee.co.uk: I've never seen a beauty product with packaging which combines a pump to keep the formula as potent as possible for longer, and a metal applicator that can be used to massage the eye area.
It also has a special thin wand, which makes easy work getting into the inner corners.
One pump is plenty to cover both eyes, so a little goes a really long way, and the lightweight formula – which contains tightening caffeine and soothing niacinamide, alongside peptides, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, doesn't feel heavy or greasy.
It's my go-to.

Murad Targeted Eye Depuffer has an immediate tightening effect and the most dramatic results
Credit: Supplied
Murad Targeted Eye Depuffer, £64 for 15ml, murad.co.uk: There's strict instructions that come with this cream, telling me it must be tapped around the eyes rather than rubbed in, which feels counter-intuitive given the metal applicator, so you miss out on most of the immediate cooling effect.
Other than that, it's faultless. Amino acids tone the skin, while vitamin C brightens and glycerin hydrates, and light-reflecting pigments help disguise dark circles and puffiness for smooth-looking skin in the short-term.
When your hay fever symptoms could really be signs of cancer
It has an immediate tightening effect and the most dramatic results.

The eight foods that will keep you cool this summer including surprising hot drink and spicy dish

EAT FOR HEAT The eight foods that will keep you cool this summer including surprising hot drink and spicy dish Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) WITH temperatures soaring across the UK, Tesco has reported a surge of thirsty customers buying hydrating fruit. The supermarket chain has reported a ten per cent increase in sales of berries, melons, grapes and other varieties as people scoff healthy snacks to help them cool off in the sun. Here, Laura Stott reveals the perfect menu to eat in the heat. CURRY: Tucking into a spicy vindaloo can provide perfect nourishment in warm weather. Many popular Asian dishes contain coconut milk, which aids electrolyte balance. Ingredients such as turmeric and ginger boost circulation, helping you cool. Coriander helps with heat tolerance, while chili fires up our cooling mechanisms. CUP OF TEA: A hot brew when it's boiling can be surprisingly refreshing and helps to keep you hydrated. University of Cambridge boffins proved that – whether it's builders', Earl Grey or green tea – when a drink is warmer than the body, it activates heat receptors on your tongue which tell the body to sweat, cooling you. ONIONS: Eating an onion has many heat-busting benefits. Cooked or raw, the root veggies contain sulphur compounds that encourage perspiration to help lower your body temperature. They are also packed full of a cooling flavonoid called quercetin, which helps the body absorb hot-weather stresses. And circulation- boosting benefits lower body temperature further. Each hydrating allium also consists of around 90 per cent water. UK Basks in Glorious Sunshine: Thousands Flock to Beaches as Heatwave Hits STEW: A hearty stew might sound like it belongs on a winter menu. But whether you simmer meat, chicken or veggies, the fluids in your pot are great for hydration levels. Seasonings like salt are ideal for balancing electrolyte levels, and mixed vegetables provide vital hot weather handy minerals such as magnesium and potassium. To give it a summer twist, opt for a lighter stew with a broth base. 7 After an initial heat burst, a bowl of soup will help your body cool down Credit: Getty TOMATO SOUP: A bowl of soup might make you feel warmer initially – but sweating means your body will quickly begin to cool down. Any variety will boost your hydration, but this classic soup is a superb summer pick as tomatoes are 94 per cent water. They are also high in antioxidant lycopene, which can help protect your skin from the sun. You can even enjoy it chilled, as a Spanish-style gazpacho. 7 Pineapples keep you hydrated and are also packed with health benefits Credit: Getty PINEAPPLE: This tropical treat is packed with powerful anti-inflammatory bromelain, known to help the body combat the effects of heat and inflammation. It's also handy for aiding digestion, if the warm weather has upset your tum. With 86 per cent water, pineapple keeps you hydrated and will regulate your body temperature, too. Scoff in chilled slices or add to smoothies. MINT: Fresh mint contains menthol, which activates cold receptors in the mouth to help you cool naturally – as well as tasting refreshing. Plant a pot of peppermint or spearmint on the windowsill for garnishes or add a dried sprinkle from the freezer to dishes. It can also help with heat-induced headaches. ICE CREAM: Perhaps not the most nutritious warm-weather food but licking a cone on a scorching day will still help cool you down temporarily as the frozen treat hits your tongue. For longer- lasting benefits, a lighter fruit sorbet or lolly from the freezer will replenish more fluids. But both should raise a smile while it's scorching. 7 Fresh mint contains menthol, which activates cold receptors in the mouth to help you cool naturally Credit: Getty

‘Zombie' rabbits with tentacles have been spotted in the wild – is your pet safe?

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HORRIFYING images of 'zombie' rabbits with tentacles sprouting out of their heads have been circulating online - so is your pet bunny safe? The traumatising snaps have led to widespread panic, with many likening the infected wild rabbits to scenes from HBO zombie apocalypse hit The Last of Us. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 The horrifying snaps show rabbits with 'tentacles' on their faces Credit: Reddit 2 The rabbits look like something out of a horror film Credit: Reddit Residents of Denver, Colorado caused an online frenzy when they began posting pictures of the bunnies, with one Instagram user stating "This is how the zombie virus starts." Another resident posted a clip of the rabbits to YouTube, with the caption: "We've got freaking zombie rabbits now?!" Some first thought that the images were AI, but unfortunately, the horrible disease is real. Zombie rabbits According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the wild animals are suffering from Shope Papilloma Virus, which causes horn-like black growths to protrude from their faces. However, Kara Van Hoose, a spokesperson for the agency said that they are not an unusual site. The grotesque-looking virus is mostly found in the Midwest of America and is transmitted through ticks and mosquitoes, meaning it is more prevalent during the hot summer months. It can also be passed on from rabbit to rabbit. Thankfully, the disease is relatively harmless, unless the black tentacle-like growths grow on sensitive areas such as the eyes and mouth, or prevent the rabbit from eating. Once the rabbit's immune system has fought off the virus, the growths will disappear. The virus cannot be passed on to other species, such as dogs or humans. Horror as rabbits 'with tentacles and horns growing from their heads' are spotted & public urgently warned to stay away However, people have been warned not to touch the infected rabbits. Is my pet rabbit safe? Although the disease is relatively harmless to wild bunnies, it can be dangerous for pet rabbits. Officials have warned anyone with an infected pet rabbit to take it to the vet for treatment. Thankfully, Shope Papilloma Virus does not occur in the UK and Europe, so your bunny should be safe from the disease. What Is Shope Papilloma Virus? A viral disease causing wart-like tumors on rabbits, mainly on their heads, ears, and eyelids. Spread by biting insects like mosquitoes and ticks. Tumors can be benign or turn malignant (cancerous). Commonly affects wild and pet rabbits, especially during summer and fall. Treatment usually involves surgical removal of growths. Prevention focuses on protecting rabbits from insect bites The horror-movie-esque disease is thought to have inspired the mythical jackalope, which is a rabbit with horns protruding from its head. And although unpleasant to look at, the tentacles have contributed to life-saving science, including our understanding of how viruses can be linked to cancer.
