Florida man's appalling act inside Sam's Club forces wholesale outlet to throw out $10,000 worth of food

A Florida man shocked customers perusing Sam's Club when he urinated on the store's products, resulting in the waste of over $10,000 worth of food.
Patrick Francis Mitchell, 70, was arrested on May 30 for Criminal Mischief of $1,000 or more and Disorderly Conduct for urinating in aisle 18 of the Sam's Club in Lady Lake, which is about an hour north of Orlando, according to an arrest affidavit.
Michell allegedly peed in the store just before 10 am when a female witness took out her cellphone to record the disturbing act.
Managers then reviewed the security footage and allegedly saw the 70-year-old man walk up to two pallets, face the shelf, and place both hands below his belt line for several seconds, the affidavit stated.
After he allegedly relieved himself on the food, he was seen strolling through the store and sitting on patio furniture for about 10 minutes.
Mitchell then purchased his food and left the store without notifying employees of the alleged urination.
Employees then found urine had contaminated two pallets of canned goods, including about 188 units of canned Vienna Sausages and 345 units of canned Spam Classic.
The products were valued at a whopping total of $10,584.84, and had to be thrown away.
Sam's Club is a membership-only wholesale retailer, meaning Mitchell needed to present his membership card to enter the store.
Managers quickly identified him and found his name, date of birth, his address on file, phone number, and email from the member portal.
Mitchell was arrested by the Lady Lake Police Department a few days after at his home in The Villages, a 55+ community in Central Florida.
He was later released on a $3,000 bond, $2,500 for Criminal Mischief charges, and $500 for a Disorderly Conduct charge.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges on Tuesday and is represented by criminal defense attorney Bobby Rumalla.
DailyMail.com reached out to his attorney for comment on the charges against him, but didn't immediately hear back.
Sam's Club is owned by Walmart, which didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.

Stranger who viciously killed sleeping Florida teen lived in 'horror movie' apartment, landlord says - as cops admit they are bewildered over random slaying

A stranger who killed a sleeping teenage boy in Florida lived in an apartment reminiscent of a horror movie as his former landlord said he always had an off feeling about him. Kyrill Kehl, 26, killed Dominic Ferrell, 17, in his 34th floor apartment in the Icon Brickell building in Miami while he sleept after the killer bypassed security and got on the elevator with other residents on June 8. Kehl started on the 47th floor, trying doors until he reached Ferrell's on the 34th and found it open. Upon entering, he stabbed the sleeping teen to death before eventually falling hundreds of feet to his death from a different building when he fled. His former landlord, Christian, said after seeing the news that he always had a weird feeling about his tenant, and even predicted that Kehl would end up making headlines. 'I remember specifically leaving the building and saying: "I have a feeling we haven't heard the last of this dude." And I said: "Watch, this motherf**ker is gonna be on the news one day,"' he told WSVN. 'I had this weird inkling feeling of like, Dahmer. I literally had this thought like: "Oh my God, we're dealing with Dahmer here." Jeffrey Dahmer vibes.' Kehl was Christian and his business partner's first tenant and the landlord said the young man lived in absolute filth and hid an automatic weapon in his apartment. The killer's fridge was filled with couch cushion-sized chunks of meat that were rotting and covered in maggots. The apartment also had a strong odor, he said. His former landlord, Christian (pictured), said he always had a weird feeling about his tenant. Kehl was Christian and his business partner's first tenant and the landlord said the young man lived in absolute filth. 'It was like something out of a horror movie,' he said 'How could anybody live in here with this smell? It smells like something is rotting,' Christian told the outlet. 'It was like something out of a horror movie.' Christian also recalled an encounter with the strange young man once inside the apartment. As the landlord approach the closet, Kehl jumped in front of him ad told him: 'Don't go in there.' The contents of the closet are unknown. The landlord feels guilt for not being able to prevent the tragedy, but he said his tenant never did anything illegal or that would have prompted him or his business partner to call the authorities. 'I'm still in disbelief, because I feel like, had we done something, but there's no way,' he told the outlet. 'There's no telling whether you know for sure you're in the presence of a murderer.' Surveillance footage that has not been released to the public allegedly showed Kehl seen sprinting from the apartment after the murder and several knives were found at the scene, investigators said. Ferrell was found dead in his bed by his father, Jon Ferrell, who was also asleep at the time of the attack. The boy was visiting his father against his mother's wishes that day, as she had gotten a temporary restraining order against Jon, according to the Miami Herald. The apartment where Ferrell was killed was a short-term rental. 'Consistent with Dominic's extraordinary empathy and our loving bond, he chose to join me on the night of this horrific event. Of course, my wife and I will cooperate with law enforcement as we get to the bottom of this senseless murder,' Jon said in a statement. Police said they found Kehl's body at the construction site the next morning after following a trail of blood from the scene of Farrell's slaying. Ahead of Father's Day, Jon encouraged parents to 'hug your children and appreciate every precious moment you have with them.' He also revealed the day of the murder, he and his son were discussing what they're plans were for Father's Day and had planned a family golf game.

Man, 70, ruins £7k worth of Spam and sausages after urinating in shop aisle

Patrick Mitchell, 70, was arrested after over £7,000 worth of sausages and Spam were ruined after he urinated in the middle of a Sam's Club warehouse store in Orlando A 70-year-old man ruined over £7,000 worth of sausages and Spam after he was caught urinating on them in the middle of a warehouse superstore. Patrick Mitchell was caught by police after a witnesses reported the shocking incident that took place in "aisle 18 at Sam's Club" in the Orlando-area, of Florida. Managers at the store, which works in a similar way to Costco which has come to the UK, said they looked over CCTV and saw a man walking up to pallets with "both hands in front of him below belt line, and stood there for several seconds", according to police. ‌ ‌ A detective in the case added that his actions were "behaviour consistent with urination". Workers, after taking a close look at the location, confirmed "there was urine on two pallets". These contained around 188 bulk units of Vienna sausages and "345 units of 8 count canned Spam Classic". The supermarket was forced to throw all of these items away because they had been "contaminated with bodily fluids", according to a police affidavit. Cops revealed the combined value of these items was worth a staggering $10,584.54 (£7,802.83), according to the Daily Star. The witness who spotted Mitchell "used her cellphone to take a picture of the defendant and reported the incident to store employees". He was then unbelievably caught on CCTV taking a walk around the store and he even relaxed on display furniture for 10 minutes. The 70-year-old then "walked to register #2, paid for his items and left the store". Mitchell was tracked down using membership records from Sam's Club - which is a membership-only warehouse store chain. His details were pulled up because "all customers have to provide their membership card to a cashier prior to purchasing items while at a point of sale". Police compared Mitchell's driver's license photo with the image taken by the female witness resulted in a positive identification, as detailed on a police report following the incident. ‌ He was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief - which is considered a felony since the alleged damage exceeded $1000 (£737). Mitchell pleaded not guilty and is free on a $3000 (£2,211) bond in advance of his June 30 court appearance. Unbelievably this has not been the first time someone has been accused of urinating on food in a supermarket. A drunk man was filmed relieving himself over ready meals in a supermarket fridge as customers watched on in disbelief. He was dragged out of the Family Mart store by security while still peeing all over the floor, in the Japanese city of Nagoya. Photos showed the man later being spoken to by a police officer, with witnesses saying he denied any of the behaviour he was filmed doing. He said: "I don't remember peeing. I definitely didn't do that." It is not clear if he was arrested or charged by police at the time.

Ex-NFL star Antonio Brown hunted by cops for attempted murder after shots were fired during brawl

Miami-Dade County police are looking to arrest troubled ex-NFL star Antonio Brown on an attempted second-degree murder charge as a result of a shooting at a boxing event last month in Florida. If convicted, the Super Bowl winner could face up to 15 years in prison. The Florida warrant was signed by a judge on Wednesday and lists Brown being charged with attempted murder with a firearm and states the former wide receiver is to post $10,000 bond and remain under house arrest pending a trial, according to court files provided to A viral video from a celebrity boxing event in Miami last month showed Brown appearing to pull out a gun as he ran back towards a skirmish. Shots are then heard off camera as frightened onlookers flee the area. The 36-year-old was dragged to the floor by a man who, it later emerged, was a member of security trying to protect him. No victims emerged at the time, so Brown wasn't arrested. Instead when viral video of the incident surfaced online, Brown claimed he was the victim of an attempted robbery: 'Regarding the boxing event that happened last night. I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me.' However, the other combatant told a different story last month. That man, Zul-Qarnaįn Nantambu, instead claimed the troubled former NFL star instigated the violent incident and personally fired the shots, possibly in response to a legal battle between the two in federal bankruptcy court. As seen in court files obtained by Daily Mail, Nantambu claimed during a 2022 encounter with Brown in Dubai that the Super Bowl winner stole a valuable pendant he had designed and produced. Nantambu further said Brown lied to police in the United Arab Emirates, accusing him of theft and resulting in Nantambu's brief imprisonment. Nantambu sued Brown in Florida in 2022 and ultimately won a $968,960 verdict that was later vacated in 2024 before the case was dismissed. However, Nantambu is now pursuing a partial reduced judgement of $123,600 in federal bankruptcy court as Brown has continued to deny his allegations, as seen those filings. So it came as a tremendous surprise to Nantambu in May when he noticed Brown had 'locked eyes' with him at the aforementioned Miami boxing event. Rather than discussing their dispute or ignoring his legal rival entirely, Brown immediately called over to security to falsely claim he was being jumped, Nantambu said. 'He plays gangster and plays the police at the same time, then he blames CTE,' Nantambu told Daily Mail, referencing Brown's frequent claims of traumatic brain injuries. As Nantambu told Daily Mail, he now wonders if the retired Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star called security on him to create a false pretense for Friday's shooting. Document: According to the warrant, Brown punched Nantambu before the ex-NFL star ran for his gun 'I don't know if [Brown] premeditated a thought in his mind, like: "Okay, I'm gonna say that he tried to take my chain and I'm gonna kill him and I don't have to pay him his judgment,"' Nantambu told 'He thought he would get a free kill,' Nantambu said, referencing Florida's notorious 'Stand Your Ground' law that permits deadly force under certain heightened circumstances. One video, provided to Daily Mail by Nantambu, shows him fighting with a group of men before an individual matching Brown's description abruptly flees. Another viral video of the incident appears to show Brown returning to the melee with a gun in hand. 'He ran to get the gun. He shot at me. I think he grazed my neck. We started fighting for the gun,' Nantambu said. 'The adrenaline is going crazy. He ran into me. I threw him on the ground. A gun fell. We start scrambling for the gun on the ground.' It was at this point cops arrived, according to Nantambu. 'The police are screaming: "Who has the gun?"' Nantambu told 'Kids are screaming: "AB shooting! AB shooting!" He could have hit one of them kids.' He said he put his hands in the air as frantic cops began to pursue Brown, whom Nantambu said ran inside the venue, where he was apprehended. Despite the violent uproar, Miami police made no arrests and Brown wrote on X he's considering potential legal action against 'the individuals that jumped me.' Meanwhile, the police apparently ignored Nantambu, who claimed to walk away from the scene with one shoe 'like Cinderella' and blood dripping from a neck wound that could have been far worse. 'I'm feeling this burning sensation on my neck,' Nantambu told 'I thank God I'm not murdered. God spared me from getting shot in the face.' From there, Nantambu went to the hospital for the neck wound and a broken finger before flying to the Beltway the following morning for an event supporting Sudanese refugees. An outspoken supporter of Sudan and Palestine who also works in filmmaking, fashion and music, Nantambu made national headlines in February when he was among the protestors who stormed the field during halftime at Super Bowl LIX . But it was three years earlier, prior to a Floyd Mayweather Jr. exhibition in Dubai, that Nantambu said he first became involved with Brown. A proud Muslim already familiar to the area, Nantambu said he arrived in Dubai in May of 2022 to discover a shirtless Brown being 'disrespectful' to customs officials at the airport. 'He was cursing them out and all that,' Nantambu said. Nantambu was in Dubai hoping to convince Mayweather to help him promote a pendant necklace he was selling. And since Brown and Mayweather were known acquaintances, Nantambu used the bit of Arabic he speaks to help calm tensions at the airport: 'I intervened to try to quell it, because they weren't going to let him in the country.' Brown was, perhaps, at the height of his infamy at the time. It was only a few months earlier that he ended a sideline spat with Buccaneers coaches by removing his uniform and running off the field during a game, never to play in the NFL again. But despite Brown's well-reported personal and professional problems, Nantambu approached him as they waited for their baggage. The two began talking, and as Nantambu remembers, they ended up hanging out on a yacht with Mayweather prior to the fight. When fight night came around, Nantambu said, he agreed to let Brown wear the pendant with disastrous consequences. 'He basically tried to steal it,' Nantambu said. 'He moved hotel rooms, left the hotel, stopped answering calls. And then when I confronted him about the pendant, he acted like he lost it.' Nantambu said Brown gave him some of his own jewelry to hold as collateral, but later allegedly lied to police in Dubai, falsely claiming that the valuables were stolen from Brown by Nantambu. 'He told them that I stole $2million worth of jewelry from him,' said Nantambu, who has yet to get his pendant back from Brown. Nantambu was released approximately one month later after presenting evidence to a local prosecutor that proved Brown made false claims to police, according to the court filing obtained by Since then, Nantambu has waged a legal battle with Brown, who continues to go through bankruptcy proceedings despite boasting on a podcast in November he has 'the freedom that comes with having money.' However, according to Nantambu, mounting debt has forced Brown to sell his jewelry collection, which he's replaced with faux gems. 'Well, first off, I know that chain is fake that he's wearing,' Nantambu said of Brown. 'He pawned all his real jewelry, the jewelry that he used to have in Dubai, like the gold Cuban-link [necklace] and the Richard Mille [watch] and the gold medallion that said "A B" - he got rid of all that.'
