Toddler Demands Mickey D's Chips in Car, How Mom Cools Down Goes Viral

A mom's quick-thinking hack to cool down piping-hot French fries is going viral.
In a clip on TikTok (@elllieekate), Ellie Blaisdell captured the all-too-relatable chaos of parenting in a McDonald's drive-thru moment. The text overlay reads: "POV [point of view]: Your toddler is screaming for 'treats' in the back seat and McDonald's chose today to serve the hottest french fries ever."
Blaisdell's toddler, in full meltdown mode, was demanding her "treats"—a term that clearly meant the just-purchased McDonald's fries—but there was one major obstacle: the fries were practically molten.
That is when Blaisdell had a stroke of genius.
Instead of handing back the scalding snack or suffering through another 10 minutes of crying, Blaisdell took the fries and placed them directly in her car's air-conditioning vent.
The forced cold air helped cool them down faster, making them toddler-ready in record time.
Blaisdell captioned the clip: "Mother's in stem."
TikTok users couldn't get enough of the mom's clever fix. The clip has amassed over 621,000 views and a further 46,000 likes.
Hundreds commented on the clip, with one user even calling it the "most relatable" thing they had seen on TikTok all day.
"Gotta do this next time, so smart," one user wrote.
"So real. Anytime we get my son food he ALWAYS get fresh fries. I'm like, but I get old ones," another commented.
"I got one fry stuck in my air vent from doing this and can't reach it with anything so it just lives there now," a third added.
Many other commenters posted about how they manage with hungry toddlers.
"Sometimes I stick the Dunkin' Donuts hashbrown bag out the window and let nature help us out," one user said.
"I hold the box out the window while I drive," another wrote.
"I hold the fry out the window of my moving car while my 18 month old is crashing out in the backseat like she's gonna starve," added a third.
Some users were concerned about what may stick to the French fry, such as dust, when it comes out of the air vent.
Blaisdell replied: "Literally what dust? Are we not cleaning our cars and changing our air filters?!? Also he licks his shoes so."

August's Sturgeon full moon: 5 zodiac signs could feel 'undeniably massive effects'
August's powerful full moon falls in the middle of the month, and according to astrologers, it could leave its mark on your soul. "This full moon will carry ample reminders that we are loved, that someone cares about us," said astrologer Evan Nathaniel Grim in a video posted to Instagram. Every full moon reveals something hidden in one's subconscious, but this moon, also known as the Sturgeon Moon, could reveal more. During this "extra special" full moon, Jupiter and Venus will align in the sign of Cancer, and the energy it creates will allow people to get settled into a support system they find within themselves, family members and/or a group of close friends, according to Grim. When is the August full moon? The full moon peaked early Saturday, Aug. 9, at 3:55 a.m. ET. Which signs will be most affected by the full moon? These signs will face "undeniably massive effects" during the full moon, according to Grim: "Both Scorpios and Tauruses, by the way, are going through some changes in their families," Grim said. "And are maybe reconnecting with certain family members for the first time in a while." What should you do during the full moon? During this full moon, people should engage with those around them and share "share outside-the-box ideas and visions," according to Grim. Having a brainstorming session will allow people to combine their thoughts and envision the next big idea. They will also be able to see that they have the power to change the world. Father of the Bride Makes 'Innocent Mistake' That's Hard To Forgive
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A TikTok video has gone viral for capturing a bride-to-be's stunned reaction after her fiance receives an unexpected message from her dad. In the clip, shared by @melpeabss, the couple sits in a car as he scrolls through images sent to the family group chat. The photos show Mel wearing her wedding dress—a slipup that, according to commenters, is surprisingly common among brides. Wedding expert Zoe Burke has shared tips with Newsweek on how to avoid this mishap from happening. Two screenshots from the viral video showing the woman look at her partner's phone and put her hand on her face. Two screenshots from the viral video showing the woman look at her partner's phone and put her hand on her face. TikTok/@melpeabss Burke said: "Many nearly-weds opt to stash their wedding outfit somewhere where their partner can't see it—at a family member or friend's house. "I would also advise against sending photos of yourself in your wedding outfit if you don't want it to be seen, as this story goes to show—you never know where the photos could end up," Burke added. "Keep them safely on your phone if you need to, but don't let them go to anyone else." The wedding planner website The Knot's survey found that average respondents started visiting dress salons about 8.5 months out from their event and made the purchase 7.5 months out from the celebration. In the comments, some users have suggested a new dress. One person said: "It was an innocent mistake! Just buy a brand new dress." This boils down to an old tradition of it being bad luck if the groom sees it before the big day. Burke, the editor of wedding-planner website said: "The tradition of not seeing the wedding dress before the big day stems back to the olden days when the couple didn't see each other at all before the marriage. This was so the groom could not back out of the arrangement, and is why the bride's face was hidden with a veil too until the moment of the first married kiss. "Now, the tradition has been adapted—it's got a superstitious element, but is mainly about having a big-reveal moment, creating anticipation surprising your partner. I would say, even if they've seen your outfit, they won't have seen the final polished look, and it will still be an incredible moment." TikTok Reacts Over 500 users have commented on the clip that has almost 2 million views and more than 155,600 likes—with many sharing their own experiences. One user posted: "My mom posted pics of me in my wedding dress on social media an hour before I walked down the aisle. [I] wanted to scream." "My mom posted a picture of my son on [Facebook] literally an hour after he was born and before I was even in our recovery room," commented another. A third wrote: "I dislike parents sometimes like are you [trying to] sabotage me." Newsweek is waiting for @melpeabss to provide a comment.
