Public can have say on latest oil drilling update
The decision to approve an oilfield in Biscathorpe was quashed in July last year following a Supreme Court judgement after a claim had been brought in by SOS Biscathorpe.
Last year, justices at the Supreme Court said emissions created by burning fossil fuels should be considered when granting planning permission for new drilling sites.
The public have until 28 July to submit their opinions on further information submitted by the developer, Egdon Resources, on the potential climate impact of burning extracted oil.
Mark Abbott, chief executive officer at Edgon Resources, said the company had submitted an assessment of the greenhouse gas emissions at the request of the Planning Inspectorate.
The documents can be viewed on the planning applications portal on Lincolnshire County Council's website.
The application for an oil well at Biscathorpe was initially refused by Lincolnshire County Council in 2021, but the company successfully appealed it before it was taken to the High Court.
SOS Biscathorpe, which has been fighting the plans for years, said the development "delivers almost nothing for national energy security, while threatening the integrity of one of Lincolnshire's most treasured natural areas".
Mr Abbott said: "Although we are in transition away from fossil fuels, we are still highly reliant on oil and gas for transportation, heating our homes and running our businesses."
According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, Egdon Resources previously said it could potentially extract 6.5 million barrels of oil over 15 years at the site.
People wanting to submit their opinions can do so by writing to the Planning Inspectorate using the Planning Inspectorate Portal on its website, a document on the appeal application stated.

Holiday park expansion refusal appeal is dismissed
An appeal against a refusal to expand a luxury holiday park has been dismissed by the planning inspectorate. The owners of Overstone Park Resort near Northampton wanted to add 77 holiday units to the 120 that already existed at the site. West Northamptonshire Council turned down the application last year, but the owners appealed the decision. The government's Planning Inspectorate said the placement of 32 of the lodges on the eastern edge of the park would impact the "natural beauty [and] relative tranquillity" of the site. The plans were met with criticism from members of the public at the time, attracting about 150 objections and disapproval from the Lodge Owners' Association, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said. Overstone Park is a long-established golf resort complex, with a members' clubhouse, 115 lodges, tennis courts and a bowling green. Councillors refused the expansion plans on the basis that they would harm the character and appearance of the area, intrude on the designated green wedge and disturb the setting of heritage assets at the Overstone Hall estate. The Planning Inspectorate's report found the additional two-storey lodges proposed for the western edge of the park would undermine its visual and historical relationship within the setting of Overstone Hall. Overstone Park Resort previously said the expansion would help turn it into a luxury destination and allow further investment in state-of-the-art amenities. The inspector agreed that the proposal would assist in improving the local tourist offer, leading to increased jobs and spending, as well as securing investment into the golf resort. The report concluded: "Whilst I find that the proposal would contribute positively to the economic and social objectives, it would result in significant environmental harm which would outweigh these benefits. "I therefore conclude that the appeal should be dismissed." Follow Northamptonshire news on BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram and X. While numerous products fall within Medicare and Medicaid coverage, reimbursement is time-consuming and complicated. Limited budgets within healthcare centers and strict insurance requirements frequently prevent timely access to needed devices. Out-of-pocket costs for non-covered or advanced models discourage consumers. Moreover, changes in coverage policies and coding guidelines frequently impact providers' revenue stability. These conditions bring about access inequities and deter entry by new firms because of regulatory obstacles and price Compliance and Quality StandardsManufacturers and vendors of DME are subject to stringent regulations by the FDA, CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), and state health agencies. Compliance with labeling standards, manufacturing standards, and reporting and safety standards can be time-consuming and expensive. Quality-related approval and recall delays can profoundly affect brand reputation and the continuity of operations. Also, the constant need to revise products in order to comply with changing requirements is putting a further strain on R&D and logistics. It becomes challenging for smaller manufacturers to keep up with regulatory demands while competing on innovation and States Medical Wheelchairs MarketThe U.S. medical wheelchair market is increasing at a steady pace with the aging population, mobility disorders, and the increased demand for independent living. Manual and powered wheelchairs are commonly used among elderly people, disabled, and post-operative patients in home and clinical environments. Advances in technology such as powered tilt and recline, lightweight material, and joystick control have improved the comfort and functionality of wheelchairs. Medicare and Medicaid coverage for wheelchair prescriptions also expand accessibility. As orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation demands escalate, particularly in veterans and the elderly, demand for high-quality, tailored wheelchair alternatives also States Commodes and Toilets MarketCommodes and adaptive toilet aids are indispensable for preserving dignity and independence among the elderly and disabled. In the United States, this market is fueled by mounting demand for home care equipment, particularly for mobility or post-operative difficulties. Commodes exist in different configurations such as bedside, drop-arm, and rolling commodes suited to various care requirements. Hospital, nursing home, and home environments are common usage sites.
