Livingston troll Celtic ahead of Parkhead clash as mischievous statement goes viral
Mischievous Livingston have gone viral after taking a playful swipe at Celtic's infamous away end.
David Martindale's newly-promoted side face a daunting trip to Glasgow's east end on Premiership duty next Saturday.
And their social media team couldn't resist a dig when announcing ticket details on Thursday.
Posting on X, Livi used an image from behind the infamous steel pillar that gives a restricted view from the away corner at Parkhead - a sight rival fans know all too well.
Many a punter have shelled out for tickets only to find themselves sat behind it with a limited view of the pitch.
The tongue-in-cheek post went down a storm online and has been shared hundreds of times, racking up almost 200,000 views.
A second punter wrote: "That'll be 1-0 to Livingston, even before KO!"
While a third added: "Top work Livi admin. All the bites here are incredible."
Even supporters with green-tinted glasses saw the funny side: "As a Celtic fan I can appreciate the dig here but just tilt yer heed will ye!"
Another teased: "Better off sitting behind the pillar so you can't see the 6-0 tanking incoming."

BBC Sportsound's Alasdair Lamont quizzed about any potential incomings before the Champions League showdown. But a frustrated Rodgers replied: "I don't know, I have just come out of the game here. We will wait to see, we have named the squad before the gam. if not that is the squad that we are going with." Pressed on if he was optimistic about getting any deals done, he said: "Ok, let me repeat what I have just said. I have just finished the game. During the 90 odd minutes of the game, I don't know anything. I don't know anything. There might be, but there may not be, but we have the team that we have." Speaking immediately after the terse exchange, pundit Pat Bonner heard some 'frustration' in Rodgers' voice as he said: "Al (Lamont) has got to ask the questions, that is what is job is. The manager obviously has no information for him, and he will be getting a little bit frustrated because this question is going to be asked from now until the end of the window." Rodgers though was a happier customer on TV after the game as he told Premier Sports: "Our whole idea is to be as prepared as we can by the end of the window. "Of course I'd love to have other players in, you saw tonight we had a midfield player wide and putting Scalesy into certain positions as well. So we need reinforcements. But I don't want to keep harping on about it. "I don't need to beg for players that we need. We work with the players who are here, they're doing great, and hopefully we'll get reinforcements by the end." Liam Henderson's own goal made it 4-0 before Keelan Adams grabbed a cracking consolation for the Bairns. But Celtic were excellent as they warmed up nicely for Wednesday's Champions League play-off against Kairat Almaty. Rodgers' decision to bin his club tie at Pittodrie on Sunday led to all manner of wacky conspiracy theories. He laughed those off and stated he wasn't sending out some sort of message to the board amid continued transfer frustration. Rodgers vowed his tie would be back on for this cup tie and stayed true to his word as Celtic proved too good for Falkirk. He opted to rotate ahead of the first leg against Kairat and was boosted by a strong display. The likes of Luke McCowan and Arne Engels gave him food for thought with energetic performances. Kieran Tierney is also edging back to his best as he banked another hour and a second assist in as many games. Rodgers still hopes to make key signings ahead of Wednesday and Celtic's frontline does need strengthening. Rodgers' men were just too strong for Falkirk, who always tried to play and did have chances. Adams' strike was a nice moment for the rowdy away section but there was a clear gulf in class overall. Rodgers freshened up his side with an eye on the Kairat clash, with several regulars rested. Cameron Carter-Vickers was left out completely, while Kasper Schmeichel, Benjamin Nygren and Reo Hatate were among the subs. Murray started in central defence, hours after signing a new three-year deal with Celtic. Bairns gaffer John McGlynn left veteran duo Brian Graham and Scott Arfield on the bench. He asked his team to be brave on the ball but that was easier said than done against an aggressive Celtic side. Rodgers clearly wanted a fast start as his players hunted in packs and tried to suffocate Falkirk. 6 Johnny Kenny came so close to the opener after a good move before Celtic started to really work Scott Bain. The Falkirk keeper spent seven years at Parkhead but his former team-mates showed little mercy. Callum McGregor's curling required a decent Bain save as Celtic upped the pressure. Tierney was next to test the Bairns keeper, although that particular stop looked like one for the cameras. Falkirk kept trying to play out from the back and Henderson took it too far with a backpass that almost found the bottom corner. Engels' deadball delivery was causing major problems and he came so close to the opener in 24 minutes. The Belgian's vicious free-kick from the left had Bain beaten but the ball cannoned back off the post. You sensed a goal was coming and it arrived 60 seconds later. McCowan had a volley charged down after a corner but Celtic kept the attack alive. Callum McGregor clipped a clever ball into the box and Tierney headed back across goal for Maeda. The Japanese star had drifted into the centre of the box and planted his header beyond Bain. It was a deserved lead for Celtic and Forrest should have made it 2-0 before break. Celtic hero Neil Lennon spotted singing and dancing to Oasis song at Murrayfield gig McCowan's brilliant run and cross left him with a simple header - but he put it over the bar. Yet for all Celtic's dominance, Falkirk did have chances in the first half. Ross MacIver snatched at a chance after slack play from Murray and also tested Viljami Sinisalo. Calvin Miller, against his old club, thought he'd scored with a brilliant curling strike. Sinisalo had other ideas and managed to get a fingertip on the shot to deny the Bairns star. The Finn also made a save from Alfredo Agyeman as Falkirk showed they could pose problems. Miller started the second half by testing Sinisalo again with a low shot. 6 Up the other end, Forrest forced Bain into a decent stop with a riding drive. Kenny headed over from another superb Engels corner before Johnston made it 2-0. McCowan teamed up with the full-back to steal the ball off Miller and the Canadian did the rest. Johnston drove into the box and curled a brilliant left-footed strike beyond Bain into the corner. Celtic were relentless and Murray made it 3-0 in 61 minutes with a moment to remember. Once again, Engels' delivery was on point and the centre half flicked his header into the bottom corner. Rodgers rang the changes after that and Yang Hyun-jun made an instant impact moments after coming on. The South Korea showed pace and skill to create space in the box and his low cross was bundled in by Henderson. Falkirk were well beaten by this point but never stopped and got the goal their play merited from an Adams cracker. The full-back had plenty of work to do when he got the ball at the angle of the box but arrowed his drive into the top corner. Yet there was never any chance of a comeback as Celtic saw the game out and avoided any injuries ahead of Kairat's visit. Celtic 4-1 Falkirk: Holders ease through as fringe men shine
The 22-year-old defender headed home Celtic's third goal of the second-round clash at Parkhead. Dane Murray celebrated his new contract with his first Celtic goal as the holders beat Falkirk 4-1 in the Premier Sports Cup. Murray, who has already overcome two separate cruciate ligament injuries in his career, earlier signed a new deal that keeps him at the club until 2028. Daizen Maeda and Alistair Johnston were also on target and Falkirk defender Liam Henderson put through his own net before Keelan Adams scored an impressive consolation goal for the Premiership newcomers. Centre-back Murray was one of six players coming into the Celtic line-up alongside goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo, Auston Trusty, Arne Engels and Johnny Kenny. The Hoops beat then Championship side Falkirk 5-2 on their way to winning last season's tournament and this was another open encounter with both sides creating chances in the first half. Kenny volleyed wide early on after James Forrest's lay-off and former Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain saved long-range strikes from Callum McGregor and Kieran Tierney before scrambling to meet Henderson's wayward passback, which just went wide. Ross MacIver dragged a shot wide at the other end after a loose pass from Murray. Read more: The breakthrough came in the 26th minute after McGregor returned the ball into the box following a corner. Tierney ran on to meet the cross and nodded the ball down for Maeda to score with a diving header. There were further chances at each end before the break. Sinisalo saved brilliantly from Calvin Miller's 25-yard strike before denying Alfredo Agyeman and MacIver. Engels and Forrest missed close-range headers at the other end. Celtic were more dominant after the break and doubled their lead in the 54th minute after Falkirk lost possession from a throw-in. Johnston chased down Miller as the former Celtic player headed back towards his own goal and the right-back won the ball before curling into the far corner with his left foot. Murray got his big moment in the 61st minute when he headed home from an inswinging corner from Engels. Celtic went further ahead three minutes later as Yang Hyun-jun made an instant impact after coming on with home debutant Shin Yamada. The South Korean winger ran past two opponents after Celtic won the ball back deep in the Bairns half, and his low ball across the goalmouth was turned into his own net by Henderson. The noisy visiting fans got a chance to celebrate three minutes later when right-back Adams arrowed a shot into the top corner from 20 yards. That ended the flurry of goals as Celtic safely navigated their way into Saturday evening's quarter-final draw and avoided any injuries ahead of their Champions League play-off first leg against Kairat Almaty on Wednesday.
