BJP alleges irregularities in machinery purchase in TTD
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Bhanu Prakash said in 2022, machines with total cost of Rs 3.9 crore were purchased for production of Ayurvedic medicines, including powder and also tablets but they were of inferior quality. All the machines like grinders, packaging machines broke down resulting in loss to TTD.
The machinery was purchased as part of increasing the production of Ayurvedic medicines in Srinivasa Pharmacy set up by TTD for its Ayurvedic Hospitals and also Ayush(Government of India) to get revenue to TTD. Surprisingly, the TTD authorities remained silent on the defective machines causing loss to TTD.
He alleged that this was due to political pressure as the supplier of the machines enjoyed the support of the then ruling YSRCP leaders and the machines were purchased for the Srinivasa Pharmacy to benefit a YSRCP leader, he alleged.
Bhanu Prakash Reddy said he had already brought the irregularities in the Srinivasa Pharmacy machines purchase to TTD chairman's notice to order an inquiry. On his part, Reddy said he is filing a complaint with the police in a day or two on the irregularities.
He dared the former TTD chairman and YSRCP senior leader Y V Subba Reddy, during whose tenure machines were bought, and his successor Bhumana Karunakar Reddy for public debate on the irregularities that took place in TTD during YSRCP period.
'The entire 5 year rule of YSRCP was full of scams in TTD, be it Parakamani, Thulabharam, various constructions and purchase of machinery in SVIMS and in Srinivasa Pharmacy,' he said, adding that the NDA alliance will unearth all these and see all the guilty were punished.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a complaint under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999, against Myntra Designs Private Limited, its associated entities, and directors over alleged violations totaling Rs 1,654.35 crore, the agency announced on Wednesday. The action was initiated by ED's Bengaluru Zonal Office following credible information that Myntra Designs Private Limited (Myntra) and its related companies are doing Multi Brand Retail Trade (MBRT) in the guise of 'Wholesale Cash & Carry', allegedly in violation of the extant FDI Policy. ED's Investigation Against Myntra ED said its investigation under the provisions of FEMA, 1999 revealed that 'Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd had declared that they were engaged in the business of 'wholesale cash & carry' and invited and received FDI from foreign investors equivalent to Rs 1654,35,08,981 and that they sold majority of their goods to Vector E-Commerce Pvt Ltd (who sold the goods in retail to the ultimate customer).' 'That Vector E-Commerce Pvt Ltd and Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd are related parties and belong to the same group or group of companies,' said the agency. It further said that Vector E-Commerce Pvt Ltd was created and continued to be used as a corporate entity to bifurcate the B2C (business to customer i.e. Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd to retail customers) transaction into B2B (Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd to Vector E-Commerce Pvt Ltd) and then B2C (Vector E-Commerce Pvt Ltd to retail customers). ED investigation also revealed that Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd was actually carrying out multi-brand retail trading in the guise of 'wholesale cash & carry'. 'Even otherwise, Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd have not satisfied the condition laid down for 'wholesale cash and carry trading' as they have made cent per cent sales to Vector E-Commerce Pvt Ltd which is in contravention of amendment dated April 1, 2010 and October 1, 2010 which permitted only 25 per cent sale to companies belonging to the same group or group companies.' As per the ED, Myntra Designs Pvt Ltd and others have contravened the provisions as per section 6(3)(b) of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 and Consolidated FDI Policy dated April 1, 2010 and consolidated FDI Policy dated October 1, 2010 to the tune of Rs. 1654,35,08,981. Delhi: Inspired by crime shows, BSF constable robs jewellery store using toy gun
Last Updated: New Delhi, Jul 23 (PTI) A BSF constable, who joined the force a month ago, was arrested for robbing a Delhi jewellery store with a toy gun in broad daylight, after allegedly getting inspired by crime shows following losses in online gambling, an official said on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Gaurav Yadav (22), had completed his training in May 2025 after he enrolled in the Border Security Force (BSF) in 2023, the official added. 'Yadav was posted in the BSF in Fazilka, Punjab. On June 18, a day before the robbery, he took leave and travelled to Delhi, where he planned the heist while waiting to switch trains," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said in a statement. The incident occurred on June 19 at a jewellery store in Farsh Bazar, when a man entered the store brandishing what appeared to be a pistol and stole four gold bracelets before fleeing on foot. A case under Section 309(4) (robbery) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at the Farsh Bazar Police Station, and an investigation was launched, the DCP added. Police carried out technical surveillance, analysed multiple CCTV footage, call detail records (CDRs), and Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR) dump data, and raised several queries on the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID). 'After sustained efforts and detailed analysis, the accused was identified as a BSF constable posted in Fazilka, Punjab. A raid was conducted at his native village in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, where he was apprehended. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime," DCP Gautam said. According to the police, Yadav allegedly developed a gambling addiction, incurred significant losses, and plotted the robbery after watching crime shows. 'He bought a toy pistol from a local shop and used it to commit the robbery. He later travelled to Meerut, then Lucknow, and finally reached his home in Shivpuri, where he sold two of the stolen bracelets and deposited Rs 2 lakh into a bank account," the DCP added. The police recovered two gold bracelets from his home and identified the account where the Rs 2 lakh had been deposited. Gaurav had no prior criminal record, the police noted, adding that further investigation is underway. Three HYBE Employees Jailed For Insider Trading Linked To BTS Enlistment: Report
Last Updated: Three HYBE employees were sentenced for insider trading related to BTS's enlistment. The Seoul Southern District Court imposed fines and suspended prison sentences. Three employees associated with HYBE Corporation have been sentenced for insider trading related to confidential information about BTS's military enlistment. The Seoul Southern District Court delivered its verdict on Tuesday, imposing fines and suspended prison sentences on the individuals for violating the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act. Kim, a 37-year-old employee from HYBE's subsidiary Source Music, was handed a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. He was also fined 231 million won (approximately Rs 1.45 crore). Former employees Lee, 33, from BigHit Music, and another 41-year-old from Belift Lab received six-month suspended jail terms and fines of 51 million won and 65 million won, respectively. The court found that the employees had used non-public information about BTS's enlistment to avoid financial losses by selling their HYBE shares before the official announcement. The firm revealed in a YouTube video on June 14, 2022, that BTS would be halting group activities due to member Jin's military service. This news caused HYBE's stock to plummet by 24.78% the following day. According to the court, 'An artist's actions have a significant impact on revenue in an entertainment company, so whether they continue or suspend activities is a highly sensitive matter." It added, 'This offence deserves strong social condemnation as it is a serious crime that compromises the fairness of the capital market." In addition to the fines, the court also ordered the confiscation of the amount equivalent to the financial losses the employees avoided through their actions. Meanwhile, BTS has resumed group preparations and is currently undergoing a two-month creative boot camp in the United States. The band is expected to release a new album in the spring of 2026. All members, except Jin—who is on a solo world tour—are in Los Angeles. Jungkook is reportedly planning a solo tour as well, and V recently performed at Lollapalooza Berlin 2025, where he gave a heartfelt shoutout to Jimin for his unwavering support.
