Boxer's Bold Protest When Grandma Asks Her To Lie Down Brings All the Sass

Yahoo22-04-2025

There are plenty of dogs out there who can be trained to follow certain commands, but at the same time, all dogs have personalities of their own... some bigger than others. Sure, they'll sit when you ask them to sit, but if they have a big opinion, they're bound to share it with you.
And then there are some dogs who are simply here to make the rules, not follow them, and that applies to Poppy the Boxer in the TikTok video below. Grandma might be telling her to lie down at bedtime, but Poppy has her own opinions about that request.
This video that dog mom @princess.poppyyy shared on TikTok this week basically says it all. Poppy's grandma was babysitting her while her mom was away on a girls' trip, and let's just say Grandma had her work cut out for her!
Grandma and Poppy are in bed when she makes the attempt to tell the dog to lie down, and Poppy responds with some of the most indignant barks I've ever heard. No word on who won this argument, but I have a feeling it might have been the dog.
Those who know Poppy from following her account probably aren't surprised by this footage at all — after all, there is a reason she's often called Princess Poppy, and it's because she likes for things to be done her way. Like many other dogs who belong to the Boxer breed, Poppy has a strong personality, and it seems to shine through more often when it comes to bed time and nap time.
Let's face it: this is a dog who requires a silk eye mask to sleep every night. Does she really seem like the kind of gal to take orders from anyone, Grandma included?
And if it makes Grandma feel any better, Poppy also doesn't take kindly to her mom trying to tell her what to do, either, as you can see in this video where she is absolutely refusing to stop howling in the hopes that Mom will offer her more food, even though she's already had her dinner.
But Poppy's personality is part of what makes her so lovable... even if it can be a bit challenging for the humans who love her sometimes!🐶🐾🐾

Clumsy Kitten Napping on Dad's Guitar Is the Definition of Cuteness Overload

We've all seen countless adorable videos of babies (both human and animal) sleeping, but have you ever seen one of a kitten napping on a guitar as dad plays and sings? TikToker Elgunnasibli has been posting videos of his tiny kitten doing just that, and it's the cutest thing you'll see today. The video is a montage of clips showing all the times his 'clumsy kitten' has slept so soundly on his guitar that he slips right off it! We can't get enough of the cuteness and could watch it on repeat all day! Swoon! What an adorable kitten! Now we need to learn to play the guitar and then get a kitten! Elgunnasibili's video has racked up millions of views and has more than a thousand loved it! @Abiska Aveely got more than 25 thousand likes when they said, "The fact that one day they'll be too big to do this is so sad!" @LazyPaws added, "He knows you're always gonna catch him. That's why. He trusts you with all his life." @Jus Samanka agreed, "The dad reflex is so real!"Commenter @julianyeen asked, "I wonder if the vibrations feel like purring, so they think you're purring at them?!" We thought that was a reasonable guess but wondered if cats really enjoy music. According to PBS, not human music. "Cats, in fact, do enjoy music, but they don't enjoy human music — at least according to new research. A study recently published in the journal Applied Animal Behavior Science believes that in order for our feline friends to enjoy music, it has to be species-specific music." Species-specific music? The article went on to explain what that means. It's music "that fits into how the animal communicates, writes University of Wisconsin psychologists and study authors Megan Savage and Charles Snowdon. 'We have developed a theoretical framework that hypothesizes that in order for music to be effective with other species, it must be in the frequency range and with similar tempos to those used in natural communication by each species.' Curious to hear what cat music sounds like? You can check it out here. Clumsy Kitten Napping on Dad's Guitar Is the Definition of Cuteness Overload first appeared on PetHelpful on May 22, 2025

Beyoncé's Pants Fall Down On Cowboy Carter Tour

Last week, Beyoncé's much-anticipated Cowboy Carter tour finally stopped in London. One of her many outfit changes was a shimmery gold bodysuit with matching chaps and gold high-heeled boots, but things went horribly wrong when Beyoncé's pants became undone while performing "I'm That Girl." In a video shared to TikTok, Beyoncé is seen stomping her foot to the beat when her pants suddenly fall down. She seemed to laugh as she slowly dipped to the floor to pick them up, all while staying perfectly on beat. One of her dancers then rushed over to help her secure the pants as Beyoncé held them in place. After a few seconds, the dancer was able to get them fastened as Beyoncé moved on to the next part of the song. Like me, people were shocked and amazed by her "professionalism" and also by her "genius dancers." Honestly, I wouldn't expect anything less. You can watch the full moment here.
