Delta unveils new ‘soccer-field' sized airport lounge at the busiest airport in the U.S.
Located at Concourse D-Center Point, the new space seats 506 travelers and features a 16-seat bar, theater-style media wall, soundproof phone booths for working and sweeping panoramic views of the airfield. There's also a sprawling buffet, two beverage stations and plenty of space to unwind or power through a layover.
The new lounge captures Atlanta's Southern hospitality, with design elements—a brick entryway, shutter screens and coffered ceilings—that reflect its charm. A mural by local artist Ryan Coleman pays homage to the city's wealth of greenspace, featuring magnolias and dogwoods. Funky lighting and metallic accents give the space a modern, upscale feel.
'As the heart of our operation, Atlanta is more than just a hub—it's our home,' said Claude Roussel, Delta's VP of Sky Club and Lounge Experience. 'This new space is thoughtfully designed to ensure that guests traveling through Atlanta feel the Southern hospitality of the city we know and love.'
The launch comes as Delta marks its 100th year alongside ATL's own centennial. It's part of a broader investment in the airline's hometown, which includes the expansion of Concourse D and updates to Sky Clubs in Concourses A and C.

An 80 year old man perished in a fire south of the Albanian capital, Tirana, officials confirmed on Wednesday. Residents from four villages near a former army ammunition depot in central Albania were evacuated. In the southern Korca district, close to the Greek border, there were reports of explosions from buried Second World War-era artillery shells. Article continues below A forestry worker was killed on Wednesday while tackling a wildfire in southern Turkey, according to officials. The forestry ministry reported that the worker died in a fire truck accident, which also injured four others. Turkey has been grappling with devastating wildfires since the end of June. The fires have claimed 18 lives so far, including 10 rescue volunteers and forestry workers who tragically lost their lives in July.

Thousands of anime titles will soon be streamable on Delta flights
Air travel is a pain, but at least anime fans will soon have extra enticement to get on a plane. Starting later this year, the streaming service Crunchyroll will partner with Delta to provide the airline with access to its vast library of Japanese animation titles. As first reported by The Wrap, the streamer is curating a collection of 50,000 movies and TV episodes, totalling approximately 25,000 hours of content, available on 169,000 seatback screens. No specific titles have been confirmed. 'There is nothing better on a long flight than immersing yourself in the rich storytelling and world-building of anime', Rahul Purini, president of Crunchyroll, said in a statement. 'Fans can go deep on one series or sample one episode of many series – from action to adventure, romance and more'. Initially started by a group of University of California, Berkeley graduates in 2006, Crunchyroll began as a pirate site focused on East Asian media content before going legit in 2009. The platform is now jointly owned by the US-based Sony Pictures Entertainment and Japan's Aniplex. In addition to the in-flight entertainment, Delta SkyMiles members will have access to special offers, including free 24-hour trials of the Crunchyroll app.

Rail services at Uckfield and Buxted resume after signal failure
Rail services to and from Uckfield and Buxted have resumed after a signal failure caused train which operate the services between the East Sussex towns and London Bridge, said it needed to locate the fault in the signalling cables, which were 19 miles in fault, which was first reported on Friday, was located and fixed on Monday, with the 05:31 BST being the first service to run on Tuesday replacement buses had served Uckfield and Buxted stations, which ran to Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells, where connections to London were available.
