Popular 2000s TV Show Bracing For Reboot
This popular medical sitcom may be coming back to ABC.
According to an article published by Deadlineon Wednesday, a Scrubs reboot has been in the works and is moving towards a pilot order for ABC. Originally aired from 2001 to 2010, Scrubs followed a new group of medical students who arrived to learn the ropes at Sacred Heart Hospital, where John 'J.D.' Dorian, Christopher Turk, Bob Kelso and acerbic Dr Perry Cox are their instructors.
The show focused on the ups and downs of life in a hospital, covering friendships, mentorships, love lives and the struggles of patient care.
Securing the cast and working under the obligations of his exclusive deal with Warner Bros TV, the show's developer and executive producer Bill Lawrence has been trying to put together this reboot for months. So far, Zach Braff, who played J.D, is the only original cast member locked in. Negotiations with the rest of the key original cast members are wrapping up, which would finally get the project a pilot green light.
Back in October, Lawrence told Deadlinethat he envisions this next show as a hybrid between a revival, revisiting original characters a decade and a half after the original series ended its run, and a reboot, bringing back the original concept with new surgical interns.
Though a storyline or plot has not been confirmed, the end of eighth season of Scrubs showed J.D leaving Sacred Heart Hospital for a new job to be closer to his son. But, the reboot is expected to focus on the characters of J.D. and Turk, 15 years later.
As of now, there is no premiere date yet.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry confirm breakup with 'love, stability and mutual respect'
Hollywood power couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who'd been sparking speculation about their yearslong romance in recent weeks, has broken up. Representatives for Perry and Bloom, who have been engaged for six years, confirmed their separation in a statement to USA TODAY on July 3. "Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting," the statement read. "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect," the statement from their representatives continued. Us Weekly was first to report. The announcement comes after previous reports and media speculation that Perry, 40, and Bloom, 48, who share 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, had ended their nine-year relationship. People and Us Weekly reported in June that the couple had allegedly ended their engagement. Perry and Bloom began dating in 2016, briefly split in 2017 and got engaged in February 2019. They welcomed daughter Daisy in 2020. Orlando Bloom arrives solo for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding Bloom raised eyebrows in late June when he attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding in Italy alone. The "Lord of the Rings" alum, donning a crisp white button-down and khaki slacks, flashed a peace sign to onlookers as he left the Gritti Palace Hotel in Venice via boat. Perry had a slate of four Lifetimes Tour concerts in Adelaide, Australia, during Bezos and Sánchez's wedding weekend. After the celebrity nuptials wrapped, Bloom posted some inspirational quotes on his Instagram Story on June 30. Katy Perry gets emotional: Teary-eyed singer thanks fans as she closes out Australian show In the first slide, Bloom re-posted a translated quote from the Buddha that read, "Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most." In a follow-up post, Bloom typed up a "daily encouragement by Daisaku Ikeda," a prominent Japanese religious figure and Buddhist: "The important thing is to take that first step. Forza Motorsport Could Be in Trouble Following Microsoft Layoffs
It might be the end of an era for racing fans. Microsoft has allegedly slashed the staff at Turn 10 Studios, the developer behind the Forza Motorsport video game franchise. It's unclear how many people the studio laid off, but reports indicate that nearly half the staff has been let go. The Verge is reporting that around 70 people were fired, and it's unclear how this will affect future installments of the Forza Motorsport franchise. The studio launched the franchise's latest installment in 2023, simply named Forza Motorsport , for the Xbox Series X/S and PC. It garnered tepid reviews , with some disliking parts of the game's newer elements, like the RPG-style progression system, which the studio attempted to address. Photo by: Turn 10 Studios However, gamers have generally enjoyed the Motorsport franchise. Early examples of the game earned Metacritic scores in the low 90s; however, the scores began to falter with the release of Forza Motorsport 5 . Forza Motorsport (2023) was the eighth installment in the series. The franchise launched in 2005 as Xbox's response to PlayStation's Gran Turismo . Microsoft would expand the Forza franchise with the launch of Forza Horizon , an arcade-style open-world alternative that emphasized the motoring lifestyle more than perfect lap times at iconic tracks. The layoffs at Turn 10 were part of a larger culling throughout Microsoft's various divisions. There are no reports that the tech giant laid off anyone at the studio behind the Horizon franchise, England's Playground Games, which is also available on the PlayStation.
