The content creator, who has amassed 10,600 followers on TikTok, took to social media to 'introduce' herself, but was left with a string of horrendous remarks, including keyboard warriors telling her to 'get a job' and calling her a 'scrounger'.
As well as this, the brunette, who is mum to five sons and one daughter, was also told to 'shut her legs'.
Posting online, the 28-year-old who has 'six beautiful children', explained: 'We are currently homeless and in temporary accommodation and the council are doing nothing to help us.'
Beth then revealed to Fabulous that her family were given a Section 21 (non-fault eviction) notice at the start of the year, leaving them homeless on 21st January 2025.
Following this, Beth and her partner tried desperately to find a property to rent, but had no luck.
While Beth doesn't work, her partner does and they were soon given temporary accommodation provided by Shelter, a housing and homelessness charity that supports more than one million people a year.
Beth told Fabulous: 'We tried everything to get another private rented home but unfortunately fell short.'
The mother also got candid on her experience with trolling, as she shared: 'Trolls on my account are constantly saying "get a job", "why have so many kids if you can't afford them", "shut your legs".
'They even go as far as saying they 'feel sorry' for my children and I'm 'neglecting them'.'
But Beth was eager to set the record straight and continued: 'I'd just like them to realise that anyone's circumstances can change within a second.
Young Mum Shares Life in a Homeless Shelter
'I would hate to see anyone else in my position feeling useless.'
Beth's TikTok clip, which she posted under the username @bethj96x, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 89,800 views.
What to do if you're made homeless
In England, your council must help if you're legally homeless or will become homeless within the next 8 weeks.
You may be legally homeless if: you've no legal right to live in accommodation anywhere in the world
you cannot get into your home, for example your landlord has locked you out
it's not reasonable to stay in your home, for example you're at risk of violence or abuse
you're forced to live apart from your family or people you normally live with because there's no suitable accommodation for you
you're living in very poor conditions such as overcrowding
There are different types of support your council could offer you. For example, they may offer you advice, emergency housing, support to find longer-term housing or help so you can stay in your home.
If you are looking for advice you can contacting housing charity Shelter for advice, Citizen Legal Advice for a legal aid, and speak to your local council for help.
But social media users were left divided by Beth's video - whilst the nasty trolls were out in full force, others were eager to share messages of love and support for the young mother.
One person said: 'Close your legs, if you can't support, you shouldn't have.'
Another added: 'Get a job.'
Doing everything I can, trust me! I've applied for so many homes
Beth Jones
A third commented: 'Shut your legs you scrounger.'
Whilst someone else snapped: 'You're in accommodation so they have helped you. It's a roof over your head. Be grateful.'
To this, Beth clapped back and confirmed: 'Not suitable accommodation…I am grateful.'
What It's Really Like Growing Up On A Council Estate
Fabulous reporter, Leanne Hall, recalls what it's like growing up in social housing.
As someone who grew up in a block of flats on a council estate, there are many wild stories I could tell.
From seeing a neighbour throw dog poo at the caretaker for asking them to mow their lawn (best believe they ended up on the Jeremy Kyle show later in life) to blazing rows over packages going missing, I've seen it all.
While there were many times things kicked off, I really do believe most of the time it's because families living on council estates get to know each other so well, they forget they're neighbours and not family.
Yes, things can go from zero to 100 quickly, but you know no matter what you can rely on your neighbour to borrow some milk or watch all of the kids playing outside.
And if you ask me, it's much nicer being in a tight community where boundaries can get crossed than never even knowing your neighbour's name while living on a fancy street.
Not only this, but another questioned: 'But what are you doing about it also??'
In response, Beth acknowledged: 'Doing everything I can, trust me! I've applied for so many homes.'
Most people are only three paychecks away from homelessness

At the same time, one user gushed: 'The comments on here are wild! Fun fact, council houses are for everyone, you don't have to be a dole dosser to have one.
'Most people are only three paychecks away from homelessness. Good luck mama.'
A second agreed: 'What's up with these comments? Have a heart people! Hope you get a place sorted soon!'
Meanwhile, another penned: 'I hope you get your forever home soon.'

Why it is good to see Edinburgh Book Festival embracing the BookTok generation

I spent Friday evening at the Edinburgh Book Festival, something that has become a near annual tradition ever since I went on trips with my school library as a child. No trip to the book festival is complete without a trip to the bookshop tent. This year there is a section for popular BookTok books, something that is becoming a familiar sight in bookshops up and down the country. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad BookTok started off as a subcommunity on TikTok, but more recently it has become shorthand for all social media content dedicated to books and reading. BookTok has brought a love of reading to a new generation. | Unsplash There has been an explosion in people's love for books since the pandemic. There are many reasons for this, but BookTok is one. A poll by The Publisher's Association found that 59 per cent of 16 to 25 year olds found a passion for reading thanks to BookTok. Forbes says #BooKTok has accumulated over 370 billion views. It is not without its critics. There are some who argue this is the end of 'proper' literature, as authors and publishers are sacrificing originality and creativity for the sake of online marketability. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad This is true to a certain extent. There is a diminishing level of quality in some of the literature produced to help fuel the never-ending desire of the BookTok community. I have certainly read a fair number of BookTokbooks over the past year (that I have thoroughly enjoyed) that have been badly edited with spelling and grammatical errors. There are others where printing quality has fallen short of the mark because of speed. But this is no reason to deride the readers - this is on the publishing companies who need to remember to think about quality rather than solely on profit. It is also a rather simplistic view to assume all BookTok books are anti-intellectual and not as good as 'real' books. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Let's take The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller as an example (one of my favourite books) - it is a reimagining of The Iliad and one of the most popular BookTok books. The author spent around a decade writing the book, has a masters degree in classics and teaches Latin and Greek, and now hundreds of thousands of people are reading about ancient Greece thanks to social media. Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice has seen a spike in popularity thanks to BookTok, despite being published 200 years ago. Readers can hardly be criticised for indulging in this just because they were inspired by an influencer online. I understand not all BookTok books are like this. Many are romance books that are written like a popular trope checklist, published at rapid speed and even copying cover designs of other popular books to hit a certain audience. Some bookshops wrongly assume these trope-heavy, quick-read romances are all BookTok is, and therefore fill their BookTok section accordingly. But there is so much more to BookTok in reality and it is an unfortunate symptom of the somewhat misogynistic view of the kind of readers on these platforms. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Personally, it is great to see Edinburgh Book Festival embracing BookTok. It is bringing a love of reading to a new generation and that, whether it is a literary classic or a pop romance, should be celebrated.
