According to the Aadhaar Enrolment and Update Regulations, 2016, individuals are required to update their proof of identification and address documents every ten years from their enrollment date. This also applies to updating a child's biometric details on their Blue Aadhaar card between the ages of 5 and 15.
Earlier this year, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced that Aadhaar cardholders can update their information for free, which otherwise incurs a cost of Rs 50 as a standard fee.

The Aadhaar card update process can be carried forward via two modes, i.e. through an online portal via its official website: https://uidai.gov.in/ or by visiting Aadhaar enrollment centres.
It's important to note that, while the Aadhaar address can be updated through any of the above two modes, updating other demographic details, such as name, gender and date of birth, and biometric data can only be updated by visiting the enrolment centres.
